Ultimately I think the things Shepard and Garrus love about each other are not passed through genetics. Which is why i'm all about the two of them adopting. They'd be amazing parents and role models.
Just keep the kids away from daddy's gun collection.

We're getting more and more media that is choosing to see that we have a point, or are allowed to have our opinion than those who think we're just bat**** crazy.
And even just the matter of INFORMING the general public, they'll subconsciously think the next time they see a Bioware game 'Isn't this that company that ****ed over their fan basis?'

At this point though, I can't imagine how they wouldn't at LEAST develop a DLC to fix this mess, but I'm hoping for an ME4, to be honest. I know it was meant to be a trilogy, but I want as much Garrus time as I can possibly get. T________T
And we all know EA would totally be down for an ME4 -- just look how passionate the fanbase for this franchise is. They'll milk it for all it's worth, knowing we'll eagerly suckle the teet dry.

I have to admit, I actually fell for it when I read Casey Hudson's statement at first, where he mentioned all the people who showed love for Garrus, subsequently resulting in Garrus being a love interest in ME2, and then I got all starry-eyed like "*gasp* I was indirectly mentioned! Bioware really does care!" and then I snapped out of it like "Aw maaan, I was just indoctrinated! Again! By PR space magic!"

I... don't want an ME4, personally. And I think the current state of the endings prove that Bioware is done with Shepard's story. They want it to be over and I can understand. Even if they fix the endings... I think they'd want it as a definitive conclusion of Shep's story. Including his/her companions.
I sense a MMORPG coming.

I couldn't be less thrilled about the idea, but I feel that's the direction the devs are taking with the franchise.

I'm worried ME4 would take place in a past cycle and we wouldn't have our current council races. For it to be in the future bioware would have to make one of the current endings canon.
Technically it could happen during the contact wars i suppose.... but then we'd be fighting against the turians

Then what the devs did with the endings makes even less sense, being they'll have to establish a canon for an MMO anyway, so they might as well give us our variant endings.

 I'm usually too shy to leave the security of lurk-mode, but I've been stalking this thread because I can never have too much Garrus in my life. (Cue obligatory fangirl squealing) I've been loving the art, the discussions, and the fanfic links. I'm comforted by the fact that I'm not alone in my obsessions... Because back when I played ME1, when I was confronted with my romantic options, I thought-- "Nope. Not interested in either of you. I want the turian." Then ME2 came around and, hey-- wish granted! So I was extra excited to see a more developed romance in ME3. I love the idea of Shep falling for the guy that has stuck by her side no matter what. But I'm a sap like that.
Keep posting the love.
Welcome to the Garrus thread
As for MMORPGs, SW:TOR is surprisingly decent. Not exactly a masterpiece, but a solid B+ game. Hopefully BioWare's MMO energy goes into improving that rather than developing a new one.

This is pure speculation, but I think they gave us those endings to get rid of Shep and his companions. Give them a definitive fate so the fans couldn't ask for more.

I'm actually 100% down with that. Not the execution of the idea, but the idea in principle. I've learned that franchises suffer when they're dragged on beyond their shelf life. A lot of TV shows would be so much better if they stopped after two seasons. A lot of book series too. I'm ok with ME3 being the definitive end; that end just has to be better than the junk we currently have.

Agreed, I'd rather ME3 be the ending of Shepard's story then for Bioware to pull a Halo 4 move or something, that'd just be cheap.
But there's nothing wrong with that ending involving turian babies, I mean, I got to do this in DA:O and didn't want the Warden returning in DA2.

Fully agreed. Buffy was my favorite show when I was a teen but the sixth and seventh season felt unnecessary. As for ME3's awful (current!) endings, there are more elegant ways to end a story than "rock falls, everyone dies". It's very lazy.
I'll miss Garrus, anyway. I'm playing ME1 right now, and he's adorable. <3

I just got him aboard my ship in ME1. He's so young and idealistic and hot-headed, it's absolutely precious. My Shep is still wondering how the hell she ended up with a turian and a krogan on her ship. Oh Kaliya, one of them will be the love of your life, and the other will be your honorary krogan brother. Just you wait

I think the story about Shepard, the reapers and our favourite turian is over and that is probably for the best. Even if I am a big fan of Garrus and the other bird/dino/alien guys (the turian gals too I suppose, wherever they may be hiding) it's better to end the story when it's still good.LilyasAvalon wrote...
An MMORPG seems a lot more likely than ME4 in my opinion. And they have been talking about it a lot.
MMORPGs are not my thing even if there should be a big chance of being able to play as a turian there. But the idea of a turian only guild with my fellow turian fans is tempting. If they made next game in the ME universe a Dragon Age Origins IN SPACE! with the optional turian origins however, now that would be awesome.

I'd rather they attempt an MMO then try and dig more out of Shepard, she's been through enough, and I'd rather her story end at ME3, preferably alive and retiring with Garrus though. Though the MMO doesn't exactly make me all that enthusiastic either.
I heard a theory once that the endings were done on PURPOSE by Bioware because they just wanted to end it and not be 'coaxed' into an ME4 or MEMMO by EA. If they could get enough people to hate the hell outta ME3, EA would drop the idea of ME4 or an MMO.
