All the female love interest scenes were VERY clear about the relations that occured, as is Jacobs and Shepard 'Be alive with me tonight, Thane...' is nothing if not clear. But it's never been clear if Garrus and f!Shep DID anything, at least not to me. They shared an emotional scene together and did, what I perceive it as, a Turian 'kiss'. But that's it.
But all the other LI's have much more similar physiology to Shepard than Garrus does... What if it was never made clear if they had sex or not because Bioware simply didn't know at the time... how it would be done.
Now, it's already been confirmed ME3 WILL have sex scenes rather than fade out to black like in ME2... What if they STILL can't figure it out? I'm TERRIFIED they'll just drop Garrus as a romance altogether. T_T
Though maybe I'm just a scared fangirl.

Maybe Garrus doesn't have a penis. Why do all aliens have human sexual organs?
It's based off the theory that majority of species have more or less the same reproductives organs (Which is namely, a penis and vagina) in more or less the same areas.
Turians have been described as the link between avians and dinosaurs in human terms, which WOULD originally hint that their species would lack a penis and have an organ similar to a cloaca, which is what birds have on Earth. However, various hints in the game seem to suggest Turians do indeed have Pensis. ._.
There's a small part of me that's ashasmed with coming up with my own theory to Turian physiology....

@LilyasAvalon: I doubt they'll just drop him. The art director called him one of the most popular romances. Also, I think they just didn't show anything more because of clipping issues. I'm fairly certain they did the deed.

I feel a lot better now... Bioware isn't silly enough to drop such a popular romance. Thankies.Aris Ravenstar wrote...
Mordin's helpful hints seemed to imply otherwise.

...this still leaves me curious how they plan to pull off the sex scene though, this won't be like Liara in ME1.

I humbly request at least shirtless Garrus for ME3 - the fans need to know

Which makes me worry we won't get to see what's under all of that clothing. Just a bare hand would be nice, the guy is wrapped up from the neck down. >_>

I first was a bit annoyed by Garrus romance scene whe i first saw it. I know its mostly because the devs didnt want to have problems and with ppl overreacting, clipping issues and what not. But i was still underwhelmed by the simple headbump.
But i came around to understand that it makes sense to show that part of the evening because of Garrus romance arc. The whole thing starts as very casual., two friends wanting to 'blow off steam'. But then it becomes something else. Garrus is the first hinting that it might mean more to him when he asks Shepard to reconsider finding someone 'closer to home' if she only want someone for the evening and Shep can then tell him she wants someone she can really trusts. The other convos (with Garrus and Mordin) then explore more of the awkwardness of interspecies intercourses. Its only before Omega 4 that Garrus talks again about his feelings wanting 'something to go right' in his life. When Shep touches his scar with her hand and joins her forehead to his, its easy to see that shes not really interested in 'blowing off steam', shes interested in being intimate with him emotionnaly also. Everyone is free to make their own images of how the rest of the evening went. One thing is sure, you can invite Garrus up after the SM and sit on his laps or sleep by his side jsut like for any of the game's LIs.
So its just like Tali's scene is about her taking off her mask, Jack's scene shows her crying in Sheps arms (not the renegade one you get early if you screw up th relationship), Miranda's scene shows her finally having some fun outside her office, etc . it more aimed as a conclusion for the romance arc then simply eye candy.
Of course id take some Garrus eye candy any day
Bioware give us some Garrus hugs!

Also, anyone else looking forward to a Kaidan/Garrus confrontation? I romanced Kaidan in ME1, and went Garrus in ME2.

@ Ekurian
I did the same! Cant wait to see how those two will figure it out (my Shep figured out Garrus was her man, thers no going back), they both prefer to keep their feeling bottled up so it might cause a few frictions when things come out
@Aris (i almost didnt recognize you with the new avatar)
That comic strip is awsome. Im sure Garrus would have more fun with then Atlas then my main Shep.

And excellent post, btw. I've always thought that it's important to look at context and subtext when doing the Garrus romance. Garrus is the type of person to keep things close to the vest, especially when it comes to his feelings and I think Shepard is that way too.

I really like this fan art by ghost fire on deviant art. I think that her representation of what a turian would look like under the armor is really spot on.outmane wrote...
Hummm he looks very human-like with a few scales here and there. Thats more creepy to me then when he looks very alien. Im not fond of the hybrid look for Garrus. When hes fully alien (avian-raptor-cat like) he looks like a unique piece of art, not a dude with a mask (but the picture is still nice, the artist is talented. Its jsut not how I picture Garrus).

Post what you think Garrus is saying to the ladies!

"Ladies, ladies, there's enough Garrus for everyone... after I finish my calibrations."
"Looks like I'm gonna be calibrating some bootay!"
