At first he seems a bit too eager to please Shepard but quickly matures and, come Mass Effect 2, has really come into his own as well as developing a truly masterful sense of humour. I'd almost go as far as to call "my" relationship with Garrus a bromance!
I have to admit that I missed the second shot on purpose and his delight meant more to me than any bruising my ego took in the process. There is always the tacit implication that Garrus is always in Shepard's shadow, evidenced by Garrus himself as he always says he's "right behind you" rather than "beside" and to have him come out on-top for once was so very touching.
Finally, he sticks with you through thick and thin and I honestly believe him when he says that I couldn't have done it without him because I couldn't!
Garrus Vakarian, I salute thee!

While creating the cutscene part of the ending is definitely possible, and something I'm trying to do, actually getting it in the game is a whole different story. I don't think it is possible since as far as I know we can't actually edit the entire code with which the game is based on just little bits like the Coalesced file. Then again I'm not a programmer, some of the modding masterminds on here may be able to get it to work.
I'm actually working on this right now as well. It's a fairly simple process; no coding involved. It's a just a mere clip swap with the ones already implemented: Joker, Anderson, Liara (there's already a mod for Miranda). So far, no crashes! A small kink with the end of the cutscene, but it's looking good.
I chose two clips: meeting Garrus in ME1 (dat bow) and "Never." I'll get them both up here as soon as I iron out the minor issues.
One of the clips in gif form:
Thank you all for the suggestions and welcomes!
Well I'm planning to redo a fair bit of the ending, not just tweak certain things like the flashback sequences, though that is a nice idea and as you said easily implemented look forward to seeing it completed. My ending idea would be difficult ot implment I think so it'll probably just end up as a machinima, I'm mainly doing this so the ending can...well...make sense. In my ending Mr Space Magic aka Starchild will not be seen at all and if Shepard has to die then I'm having her go down fighting, not by choosing which flavour of space magic she wants to be vaporized by. Essentially I'm making my head canon 'real', not just having it in fan fic form but as an actual animated sequence. How long this will take or whether it even gets done remains to be seen. The Unreal editor is a fickle bugger.

Hmm, I would have liked to talk to him about the kid like you can when you're not romancing him.
I wish Shepard had never met that kid.
Seriously, why am I having nightmares about him? Shepard has far more close friends dead/in danger.

I didn't mind the kid all that much until the end. Especially considering you hear the creepy voices of Mordin, Legion and Ash/Kaiden (whoever died). It was just overused. And I hated the slow running. I'm too impatient for slow running.

I hate the nightmares as well. It feels completely OOC for my Shep. Hearing the words of my fallen companions was nice though.

THANK YOU! Though I can never watch that again, he seemed to take it relatively well. And he mentions children again OMG. He is just so sweet.Karrie788 wrote...
Sorry about the double post. I uploaded the break-up scene on the Citadel. Please bear it with me, I actually had to watch it TWICE.
Additionally, hearing Hale's voice on my Shep's face is *weird*.

Mini spoilers!
Garrus and Femshep find each other on Palaven:
Can
I take a moment to ramble about how much I love Shep and Garrus'
reunion on Palaven's moon? If you didn't romance Garrus or are playing
Broshep, they just talk, no physical contact, but if you romanced him in
ME2... oh my gosh.
I love it more and more whenever I see it -
he takes her hand SO gently and then holds it with both of his. Not just
a handshake, but actually pulls her hand up to hold it. And then leans
in to reassure her that he's fine, with this look that's just for her.
It's such an intimate moment between them, the best they can do whilst
they're surrounded by Shep's team and turians with their business faces
on, and it's so them.
SWEET JESUS ON A JET SKI I LOVE THEM SO MUCH [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png[/smilie]

No, just no.
Pretending she means Garrus. There is no Kaidan here.

I know right! I thought I was mistaken the first time I saw it because it happens so quickly but nope he actually does hold your hand!!! I was also very fond of the way he leans to you and says "just know it'll be me who takes the killshot" HOLY CRAP so much small detail!
I didn't first even realize that it was a romance centric interaction. Then I got it and basically couldn't stop squeeing.
Made me feel warm and fuzzy inside~

I did. Kinda wish I hadn't, but I really don't want to replay ME1 and ME2 just to fix that :/ (Xbox player) The point is, it feels forced :/ Did BW not consider that even though Shep had romanced the VS, they hadn't moved on? A lot of stuff feels forced in this game, actually.

@Evelin: I had issues with that too. When Kaidan asked me if the whole thing about 'Is there anything of the person I loved?', I had the options of: 'They didn't change the way I felt about you' or '**** you, we're over'. This bugged me immersely. Where's my neutral option at?

Does she not say that if you didin't romance him?
Edit: By 'that' I meant 'how capable he is'

Yeah, it gets annoying to get our Shep "stolen" from us. I also don't like the forced friendships in the game, but that's another topic.
Upon reading that, however, I'm glad I virmired him.

No, she does. BioWare really pushed Kaidan on FemShep even if you ignored his ass previously. I modded Ashley into my game instead this time.

If I knew how to mod ME3 saves for Xbox, I'd give myself Ash, if only for a change. I'll just have to stick with sending Kaidan to Earth >>

Or if you have Kaidan alive in ME3, you can tell him to not to come aboard Normandy. He goes where ever he goes and becomes an War Asset. Should've done that Ashley as I really didn't even use her.
