Darn, I haven't gotten the option to shoot Kaiden....in either play through. :/

Those Krogan Babies are SO cute.....I want one. (must learn how to make a stuffed krogan baby)

Decided to play Jacey (my cannon Shep) through ME3 one more time, hoping against hope to get the Deep Breath Ending. If Joker comes and spirits Garrus away while she's on the Citadel, dammit, she's going to be alive at the end come heck or high water. Is it possible without multiplayer to get over 4000 EMS? Jacey didn't go through any DLC for ME1 and 2 and there are some side quests she missed in both games.....but I'm headed to TIMs base, and am 600 points shy of that magic 4000 number. And I even wiki'd it to make sure she did all the 'right' choices to get as much military strength as possible.

It's difficult to have Tali & Garrus in my party now. Their dialogue is very suggestive to each other. >_<

I actually kept Garrus out of my party for a few missions.

You REALLY need to work at it to get that option.  You basically have to intentionally throw the persuasion checks when the VS pulls a gun on you by actively antagonizing them.

Though I thought it was hilarious when Ash asked if Shep would've shot her.  I told her no.  Five seconds later my Shep turned right around and told Garrus "hell yes."

I have a second Shep that I ran through ME1 and 2, total paragon (well except for shooting Conrad in the foot), and she did all the side quests and DLC, so I'll be running her through ME3 next...to see if with the paragon path Shep is able to get to the magic number.

That or I'll just add up the points on the wiki for the quests, since what's his face (Bioware staff) said in single player there 'is more than enough stuff to gather without having to go into multiplayer' to get a high enough EMS to get the 'best' ending (and I'd assume the vast majority of players woud say 'best'= Deep Breath)....but so far I'm not seeing it......I think Bioware themselves got the whole TMS and EMS screwed up in their heads too.

And then after running Janet through, I'll be dropping ME 3like a hot potato unless the WTF endings get fixed. Guess I'll have to live my Garrus crush vicariously through other FemSheps on Youtube

My solution to the Kaidan problem is to virmire him every single time (ok, I'm one disturbed individual who can only play her canon Shep...). Never liked him though, reminded me too much of Carth (!) and his trust issues.

Same lol... I too haven't gotten the option of killing Kaidan yet, Thanks a lot Thane for removing any chance of forged video for Udina to use.

When Kaiden asked I took the 'Well, let's not go there' option.....and also told Garrus 'Hell yes!"

Strangely enough, the play through where I told Kaiden "Yeah I would have shot you" is also the play through where he did the whole 'cheating' thing in front of Apollo's.....he didn't in the first play through, and nothing had changed between Kaiden/Garrus/Jacey other than Jacey saying that she would have shot him. Kaiden is a sucker for punishment.

I did Virmire him the first time through, but I think for this, my super-canon playthrough I'll save him.  The reasons are sort of meta.  I like both Ash and Kaidan, but I really did not like Ash in ME3.  I wanted to dropkick her.  If I save Kaidan instead, Ash gets to die in ME1 while I still really like her, and Kaidan is supposedly less obnoxious in ME3 than Ash is.  I get to like both characters instead of being meh toward one and disliking the other.

Though his ME1 ninjamance is making me reconsider

It's his 'date' sequence.....if you haven't locked in Garrus, Kaiden will say something along the lines of he still loves you even though you cheated on him (of you romanced him in ME1 and then romanced someone elsein ME2). If you have locked in another romance, he says 'I think of you as a friend.'

I took Kaiden and Garrus together on a mission and tehre was Kaiden in the background staring at Garrus, and I laughed thinking what was running through his head was "She turned me down for THAT?" or "Maybe I need to get some scars too"

That... I want that. *pout* Everytime I hear one of these tidbits that I magically seem to keep missing I have to start from the beginning again. I am starting to really dislike this opening scene but for Garrus... I guess it's worth it. Can we yell at Kaidan? Cause I was really unhappy about my Sheps very apologetic stance.

Edit: lol, your headcanon makes me happy.  It's not that I want Kaidan to suffer, it's just that I want him to be a little bit more... suffer-y.

As far as I know. Not possible. I did everything, gathered all the possible assets. Got around 3800 EMS.

Datamining has apparently shown that it is in fact, impossible at this current point in time to get an EMS of at least 5000 (The requirement for Shepard to live). There's simply just not enough war assets. =/

Really? I've reached it pretty easily on both my playthroughs (I'm about to finish my second one - why I'm torturing myself by playing this game again I've no idea... - and I'm up to 6000). I've got the day one DLC though, and I've datamined a ton, but by brokering peace between all the races, it's rather simple. I think. 
EDIT: By the way, hi again everyone! It's been awhile - I'm just about to go to bed but I hope to be on again tomorrow It's been much too long!

Hold up...there is actually someone else around here who nukes Kaidan on Virmire every single time...though I did gibb him into my current game so i could get his bonus powers...


edit: my first playthrough with my canon -femshep Allison who is a PURE Garrus-mancer....I had 6700 EMS...

I romance and then nuke him, that way I can be nice to Liara without her ninjamancing me. Plus, the angst. I also gibbed him into my most currect playthrough. Liara wan't being entertaining enough. maybe she is more fun if I don't shut her down immediately?

I'm just repeating what I've heard to be honest, I remember reaching 7000 TMS in my first run.

I got support of the quarians, geth, krogan, turians, salarians, asari, volus, elcor, hanar, ranchi, drell and batarians, I'll have to check what kind of EMS that gave me, because I did play a bit of MP before I finished the game.

I think you're confusing the EMS with Total military strenght. That's a completely different thing.

Yeah Kaidan is dead on my every playthrough. My way to avoid being ninjamanced. Also I liked Ashley more, at least in ME1...

I saved the salarian counsellor in ME1 and ME3, I'm assuming that did give me the salarian support.
