Either way, at this point, I'll just be happy to have a bit of closure.
I want the indoctrination theory to be correct. Because it makes so much sense. And intentionally or unintentionally, it'd be a fantastic method of storytelling.

It pretty much looks to me like a few things happened regarding the ending.
Time. They needed more time for a lot of things. They couldn't add what they wanted to in the time limit they were given.
Leaked script. They were pretty upset when this happened and what people were saying, and because of it, a few things got thrown out or in. Maybe this even led the writers "un-inspired ending". Who knows?
Ending. Yes, in all the videos in the app, in most of the tweets we've been seeing, I honestly think that the writers made that ending the way they did on purpose. It was how they wanted to end Mass Effect. They said they wanted it open and for people to interpret it for themselves. Personally, I think they were just so overwhelmed, they had no idea how to tie up all loose ends as well as please the differing fans opinions.
I could be wrong, who knows. I believe we'll finally hear something official at PAX though.
Edit: I also think the Indoctrination Theory is brilliant. If Bioware could build off of it, it'd be a pretty neat ending I think we could all finally feel "all right" about.
Click this video for an explanation of the Indoctrination Theory.

I'm just not gonna trust anything BioWare says. They need to show me. Don't make any promises because you're terrible at keeping them :'|
I've largely stopped paying attention to the ending debacle, and I won't bother with it further (apart from Child's Play donations wherever I can cut corners) until I see actual results. I think BioWare has their heart in the right place, but the leaked script and time pressures obviously hit them hard, and they clearly didn't expect the backlash they've gotten. They need time, and I'm willing to give that. I just won't swallow the PR **** in the meantime.

I took Garrus on EVERY single mission with me except one. But now i can't remember that mission at all there's a blank in my mind where its meant to be. I know it was an N7 one, but it wasn't the reactor, the labs, the communications one or the Noveria one.....
-Garrus. So awesome his very absence causes amnesia
I'm replaying ME1 and trying SO HARD not to drag Garrus everywhere since my Shep would rotate out her crew in ME1. But I still end up having him for all the important stuff

As somebody new to both this thread and the whole forum: It is nice to see that I am not the only one bitterly disappointed with the ending of a game I would have considered to be one of the best ones I've ever played. Still, even with the endings, it is an amazing game - as long as I stop playing whenever I hit the 'goodbye scenes' in London. But I suppose I am not the only one feeling like that, either.
Good evening to all of you, and let's not give up hope right now.

So, a question, does Garrus ever tell you that he loves you?
If you're asking if he ever says the words? Only in the app thingie.
He shows his love in plenty of other ways though. Perfect for me. Actions > words.

So, just played through Garrus' romance scene (before Cerberus HQ) and was very disappointed not to get a half nekkid turrian. The dialogue after I woke up was good though. So, a question, does Garrus ever tell you that he loves you?
He does in the Datapad notes, and in some of the localizations. I believe he says "love" rather than "care" in the French localization?
Personally, I don't think he needed to say it to make the romance work. It's in every word, every gesture, every kiss.

And I agree completely. Though it was probably because of this brilliant romance that I needed an extra tissue at the end... Eh, wait. No. "The End Never Happened", right?
If anyone can point me into the direction of a "How to: Adding Banners to Your Sig"-Thread, I'll gladly join the next fleet around. Otherwise, I'll hold the line without a graphic.

this in April"
Didn't read the article but not impressed if all we get is "clarification". The endings as they currently are suck, whether or not we get told more information.
I know changing the endings and such is less easy, but c'mon >.>
I'm really starting to lose hope.
I think the article is quite promising. I still have faith in bioware, they just can't ignore all the screaming fans out there
I'm new here btw, and I have been working on a fanart thingie for a couple of days now. I was immediately inspired by this forum, some fanfic I read and... Clan V

And if the whole disappointing-ending-thing should be changed by BioWare, I'll happily throw in at least five levo-dextro-compatible cakes to celebrate. And hot chocolate for yet another toast in honour of Shakarian...
Let's hope for the best.

Also Garrus.
Oh and if you all recall how I mentioned some posts back that most Turians have an 'us' sound somewhere in their name. Well Saren is included as well with his last name. Go figure. I'm now trying to think of a Turian who doesn't have that sound in his name. Not including females.

Im quite fine with it also. Even with all the awsome cuteness and adorkableness of the romance, Garrus stays far away from the 'knight-in-shiny-armor' trope. I mean he doenst have to be all gooey sentimental to show he cares. And thats awsome 9not that sentimental is bad, but we see it alot already in movies and books).

I think that's because their society was originally inspired from the Roman Empire. Hence the "Turian", in reference to centurion.
Which is awesome. <3

I was happy that they didn't have that stupid orange grid scan in the face importer. I found that really distracting in ME2 and it made it hard to determine eye color. The lighting is a bit better too. Now if only Dragon age lighting was better...
Also Garrus.![]()

Oh Geez, um can't remember exactly but the male Turian by the garage on Noveria? Lilitherax? Lorik... The two turians recieving orders when you first find the Turian commander during priority: Palavan. I think.
I am really pleased to see a response from Bioware.
The only thing I wish with the Garrus romance is for Shep and him to get more enthusiaztic about reuniting. ME2 did it too, them meeting again after forever is always very... "Oh hey... sup?"

I know right I was like this during the fade to black
Me:
Shameless but it was something I was hoping for. And I hope he was doing some of my work and not on spacebook or something, my shepard wanted to wake up to turian cuddles

Mmh. Have to disagree on that one. In ME2, Garrus is exhausted. He's been fighting for days without sleep. If anything, I'm surprised he didn't freak out when Shep showed up, wondered if his mind was tricking him or something like that. I think his reaction is as enthusiastic as it can be.
In ME3, Palaven is burning. His homeworld, where he grew up. I can't see him getting all cheerful, even when his beloved shows up. Besides, he's the professional kind of guy, they were surrounded by a whole bunch of military people. That handshake was the sweetest gesture I have ever seen, in a way. It screamed "I'm happy to see you. Really, really happy. But you know, now is not the time."
Edit: Rilan, will do.
