I'm not sure what Foe Yay means  in my case my Shep is kinda of a hypocrite in ME1, so she doesn't feel sorry at all for Saren even though she's pretty biased towards aliens as he is towards humans (to put it mildly). At first, of course. In the end she supports her alien friends in front of the Terra Firma guy.

Foe Yay roughly means mortal enemies who also have a lot of belligerent sexual tension :P

I'm into ME2 now, and boy is Shep cranky.  Gotta pick up Garrus before she bodily chucks someone out the airlock.

I think one of my favorite Garrus moments in the game is when they're going through the Cerberus base and EDI's getting the door open. Shepard watches the video log of when they started rebuilding her and freaks out about how bad she was and Garrus is reassuring her. I know it's not a big romantic moment, but it's what I love about them: his simple, constant support.

Also has anyone seen this? She took like 900 screenshots of her playthrough (Garrusmancer woo!) and set them to Vivaldi. It's pretty neat.

That for me is the defining characteristic of Garrus: his absolute, unwavering loyalty.

It doesn't matter if you play male or female, platonic or romantic.  His devotion to Shepard is never in question or driven by ulterior motives.  He cares about Shep, flaws and all, and manages to be a sounding board and voice his own opinions without ever jeapordizing that bond.

Needed to chime in:  We Garrus-mancers really are lucky.  Not only do you get him early in the game, but his overall popularity with male players (securing him as the #1 bro) gives him WAY more screen time than any other LI.  And each interaction, whether romantic in nature or not, all contributes to the overall relationship.
I look at the other options for hetero-FemShepsand I just....let's just say it makes it hard to want to start up any of my other Shep's that didn't romance Garrus.    They really knocked it out of the park with him, and whatever I feel about the endings can't dim the outstanding job they did with his romance.  ...that is all!

Just got done with the Rachnai mission again. I missed this dialogue last time:

"If I never see another spider again, I will die a very contented Turian... unless there are spiders in the afterlife... Damn!"

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the correct plot flags which you need to flip to true for a save to show up as romance active?

I flipped 270 -me3__me2_plots_for_me3__global__henchmen__garrus__relationship to true and my active relationship with kaidan to false to it didn't seem to start the reconnect convo. So not sure if I need anything else.

Oh so her eyes turn green no matter what? I thought they were green because Lexane's eyes were.

Yup, I've played with a brown eyed Shep and they turn the same color. I guess its supposed to be Shepard seeing the flashbacks or whatever... its pretty much the same green that the Prothean beacons have around them.

This is a pic of Elliott Shepard. Colony kid, 'ruthless' background. Romanced Kaidan in ME1 and Garrus in 2 and 3. 'Paragade', sentinel class. Terrible long-range shot- has turian and (hadPosted Image) delicious drells for that.

Edit: WOOO!!! It worked! Also, sorry for crappy pic- PS3 player here!

This.  Though part of it is because Thane and Jacob's romances got massively screwed in ME3, and Kaidan has such a stick up his butt about the Cerberus thing.  That pretty much leaves Garrus.  And Vega, though he never follows through on all that flirting.

Just got him in ME2.  My poor Garr-bear, I want to give him all the hugs.  And Kelly had better keep her damned paws off of him :P

She's an Earthborn sole survivor. She has a bit of a deathwish (Granted! Lololo, control). She has no problem with throwing herself in harm's way and is a bit of a momma bear to the entire team. Given an option, all her problems would be solved by bareknuckled boxing.

I just made one of these(vanguard) for a fresh playthrough through all 3 games(romancing Garrus again, he's ruined me, and I love it), glad to see I am not the only one to chose those profiles.:wizard:

Another fun line. When Garrus asks you if you could have shot the VS (after the Cerberus attack on the citadel) and you say yes, he chuckles and says, "I'll remember that next time we have an argument."

Not sure if that's LI or regular dialogue but either way it made me smile. If my Shep and Garrus ever got to the point where they distrusted each other enough to have a standoff like that... I'd want G to pull the trigger 'cause my Shep doesn't wanna live in that kind of world!

That is exactly why I love garrus so much in mE3. He achieves that perfect balance of voicing his concerns and supporting Shepard. After 3 games, friend or romance, he is the one that got the best relation to Shepard, what ever her/his morality is. Its hard to see anyone lese as XO in ME3 (Miranda could dot he job in ME2 for some Shepard). But in ME3, Garru clearly has a stronger realtion tothe Normandy crew that anyone else, even the VS. VS seems to have a more personal connection to Shepard but not much to the crew (depending on your Shepard of course) .

I have to second this. It makes complete sense that Garrus steps in and helps Shepard more in ME3. When Miranda said in ME2 that the person leading the fire teams needed to be someone who could command loyalty by experience, my first thought was "yeah, that's Garrus." Besides Shepard, he seems like the person most of the Normandy's crew from ME2 on would be willing to let lead. In that scene with Miranda, someone's going to point out that most of the crew doesn't trust her. Garrus doesn't have that problem, and in ME3 even new members of the crew hang out with him and seem to like and respect him. He's just a perfect choice for Shepard's second in command.

She looks like a total sweetheart:O. I don't usually want to brohug (sishug?) the ruthless ones, but colonial ones are an acception. And drell, turian and quarian make for best squad. It's a damn pity we're missing one of these things in 3.

Edit: Holy hell, next time through I guess I need to take team dextro to fight the spiders. To... uh... build character. James and Liara weren't near as excited. I felt guilty about my team pretty much being "Garrus. Javik. Let's go." And I left quarians until late because that was my first round and I was scared of everything... Second playthrough, I am putzing more. And even whipping out my camera now and again.

Wait. You can have Tali on your squad by the time you fight the Rachni in ME3?

I was going off this. I'm combining my ME3 second playthrough with work and a playthrough through 2 with a different (Thanemancing) Shep who I wanted to redo, so I'm taking my own sweet time. But if I can get Tali to freak about spiders, I WILL enjoy that just for luls.
