I'm guessing the reason why I'd have Shep marry Garrus is because of her Colonist background. Ever since Mindoir, she hasn't had a family and has done everything she could to put that aspect of her life behind her. Garrus talking about committing to her and having babies with her has had her thinking.
Besides, she has an alarmingly soft side. I made her a cinema enthusiast.

I always saw a Bolvian army ending for her and Garrus. It's really hard to envision that Shepard settling or even slowing down. Maybe if she got seriously banged up or Garrus barricaded her in her cabin until she took a break.

My Shep's Earthborn and really has no concept of a family.  She was a little jealous of Ash and her tight-knit family in ME1, but in ME2 I think all the family issues among her squad had her half-convinced families were more trouble than they were worth 

But I think she'd put that aside to have kids and a family with Garrus.  Deep down Kaliya's a bit of a softie too.

Bioware games tend to teach you that families always involve issues. Especially father issues. (Anomen, Carth, Alistair, Thane, etc.)

Same here. My Shepard can appreciate brief moments of downtime, such as target practice on the Presidium, but she's like Mordin. She could never handle retirement or settling down. If she did end up on an island with Garrus, she'd be using the sea shells for target practice, negotiating peace between the islanders and the offshore space-dolphin colonies, something. Going out in a blaze of glory is the only way I can see her story ending.

Hi, everyone. Quick question: is there a video of Garrus's reaction should Shepard say she'd rather be alone in the final romance scene of ME3? I haven't tried it myself in-game, nor could I find any clips or quotes online. My curiosity is killing me.

Haven't seen it in English. It is, however, absolutely adorable. She says "Sorry Garrus, I think we all need some rest right now" and he says something like "I understand, you're not in the mood for that kind of things... sorry, I'll just go to bed." then gets up, and gives her the most loving, adoring look ever before leaving. <3

So is Janine! She's also an Earthborn, and is convinced she'd be a terrible mother because she's known nothing but war and survival; she's hesitant to start a family with Garrus even though she is absolutely sure she wants to be with him. To me, Anderson's extended dialog was never cut. So when Anderson tells Janine she'd be a great mother, she breaks down crying and thinks maybe, just maybe, she'd love to be a mother.

My shepard would want a little island somewhere that she could call home with Garrus. Somewhere they can go when they're not doing missions or helping people. I can picture them owning a pair of varrens or something *wanted to adopt urz* and that would be enough of a family for my shep.  Like frodo, too much has happened to my shepard for her to go back to the shire and play being normal again. It's not because she would find it boring, instead she would feel she was letting others down by calling it a day. Maybe a colony kid somewhere needs saving one day and only shepard is the type of person to risk herself to save them.  Some people might say that this sort of mindset does nothing but deprive a  person a life of their own .  But my shepard doesn't see it like that, saving others is living her life to the full and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Garrus is the type to always stick by shepard no matter what, be it a domestic life or a life filled with adventure and danger .  In my head they enjoy a life of both. Now if we can just get that ending sorted I won't feel mopey about beach houses.

Yep!  

Gah that dialogue was just perfect. Yes, he wanted to be with her, but not (mainly) because he was horny (lol). He just wanted to be close to the woman he loves before the battle that would decide the fate of the galaxy. There wasn't this intense desperation about it that some of the other romances had in that scene. I still say they have the best relationship of all the LI's...or at least the healthiest.
