Edit: or its alredy passed. Not sure anymore . Someone should know. But I know theres a sweet moment about comforting Garrus about his family.

It happens after Menae. He says he hasn't heard from his father in a while and it worries him. Shep says that they're probably okay.

I had a brief moment with him:  Shep asked if he'd heard from his family yet, and he didn't answer, just turned his head - she put her head to his face to turn it back to her and told him he would

I'm on the suicide mission and wondering if I should kill someone off... have you guys ever purposefully made a bad decision during that mission?

I'm of course putting Garrus as team leader, since I trust him unconditionally.

I have never purposefully made a bad decision during the suicide mission. Although, I'm thinking about in my next play through killing off Jacob because in ME3 he annoys me.

I always put Garrus as team leader.

I got many  Sheps, so yeah, I made some of them make some bad calls. But always withing roleplay parameters. Like one of my renegade maleshep romancing Miranda made her do the biotic bubble cause he sees her as perfect. An other of my renegade maleSheps didnt lie to get Tali's loyalty but he still sent her in the vent, etc.

I see it as roleplay opportunities and its a good way to see some other sides of ME3. I love curing the genophage and making peace between the geths and quarians but it would get old running through it the same way 12 times...

Never killed anyone on purpose, though my first playthough i wasnt paragon to handle the Miranda/Jack conflict, so i lost jack during the suicide mission.

Wondering if Jacob maintains the barrier, does that make him more likely to die or someone else you take with you?

Hes probably the only one i wouldnt hate myself for losing.

Though the feeling you get from Nobody Left behind is pretty great, ME2 had one of the most satisfying ends to any game ive ever played....
Which makes the current ending so damn unbeleivable

Sounds terrible but yeah, Jacob just may go in my current ME2 playthrough... Not sure how to do that since I've already got his loyalty and I don't want to have to sacrifice someone else to off him.

Hmmm... but won't we lose some war assets if we kill off some of the squaddies in the Suicide Mission? Cuz... I'd drop Jacob without a shred of guilt.

Yeah, but war assets are irrevelant, we all die anyway.

Plus, I can boost them with MP and the datapad app.

Garrus as Team leader on the com, when they say they can't hold their position for long, in the Collector base in ME2.  I have seen the Thane one, but not Garrus'.

I've only ever got Thane on the comm, except for the one time I decided to take him with me as part of my final team. Then I got Jack instead.

@Mara Shep: You mean when you leave all the other members to hold off the collectors while shep and squad members deal with the human reaper?

Tehres a scripted order for speaking on the com when holding the line. Just like saving Shep from falling, Garrus isnt at the beginning of the order.

I wonder if it reflects badly on me that when Jacob told my Shep that her true love was the Normandy my first thought was "The Normandy's not getting the kind of action Garrus is...." And then I sat and let Jacob derp his way through the rest of his dialogue with a dirty grin on my face.

It's kind of a shame Jacob's gone the way he has in ME3. In ME2 Jacob was my bro - cool, laid back, level-headed, no weird sexual tension. After the suicide mission we were going to tear up all the bars on the Citadel and make complete disgraces of ourselves. Or I would. And Jacob and Garrus would forcibly wrestle me back into the Normandy. But now that will never happen because apparently Jacob has become A TOTAL SQUARE D:<
