Niostang, I love your sig.

Agreed on Jacob. Just watched his "romance" in ME3, and I want to b*tchslap his GF. "The best place for Jacob now is with me. I hope you can see that." WTF.

I never really cared for Jacob. I didn't like him per say, but he sort of just blended into the background for me. I feel bad for those who romanced Jacob, especially after watching that youtube video of his 'romance' in ME3. He doesn't seem quite like the same character as ME2.

What I hated about Jacob was how my Shep would talk to him all hot and heavy whenever I just wanted to see what was up. Talk about ninjamance!

I've heard a lot about that. Is it really that bad?

Yeah, the way Shep comes across when she initially speaks to Jacob is pretty bad, though I've never had any problem avoiding his romance.

Guys, guys, let me dismiss these claims of Jacob by saying the following:
GARRUS CAN TOTALLY DISEMBOWEL DAT BASTARD WIT HIS SEXY TALONS!... then smooch FemShep right in front of him as he lays dying..muhahahahaha >:D

I meant in ME2... I was never attracted to him (ewwww... human, for one thing) and everytime you go and talk to him in the armory. You cross your arms and give him that "just take me right here on the gun table, big boy" glance and then she gets that weird flirty FemShep voice going. It creeped me out... plus that outfit? Whoa. Leave something to the imagination, sheesh!

Yeaaaaaah. It's super awkward. She doesn't do it for anyone else and it's not just down in the voice acting, it's down in the body language too. It was during my first talk to Jacob on the Normandy and found it horrifying to watch. I remember freaking out and furiously mentally backpedalling, thinking I'd end up in a ninjamance. Luckily Jacob's WTF-meter kicks in and he smoothly redirects you to calmer, less creepy waters.

EDIT: And you beat me to Youtube. Your Google-fu is strong.

Right? It's just... cringe-worthy! I swear I avoided the armory like it was the plague! Everytime I had to have a chat with TIM, I'd exit out through the lab... I was way happier to talk to Mordin.

I basically live on Youtube.

What's funny is that MaleShep stands the same way FemShep does. So body language...
Jacob's French voice is just awful, btw. Makes the romance absolutely hilarious to watch.

Because they made it very clear by both the voice acting and the animation, its hard to belive its just Hale's fault. They really forced femshep to drool over Jacob like they had her flirt with Vega. Except with Vega is actually funny, most of the time.

Omg! I go Mordin's route too just so Shep doesn't run into Jacob. I was seriously afraid he had ninjamanced me in the beginning. I literally shouted at the screen "Omg! You shameless hussy what are you doing? Close your legs dammit!" Needless to say he became part of the background. Period.

To be honest, I found the beginning of the Garrus romance really bad.

WAIT, I SAID THE BEGINNING. Don't kill me. :crying:

That's why we were drunk, honey.
Here, have a date with Garrus to wash that Jacob scene out. He'll drive, you bring ammo.

Anyone else like to think he decided to drive simply so he wouldn't have to suffer through Shep's 'mad' driving skills? xD

Yep, drunk Shepard is the only way to make the scene bearable.

Oh, he totally forbade her to drive. The Mako taught him never to trust Shep with a vehicle.

The very beginning of the romance makes me cringe a little, but only because my Shepard would never have the courage to tell one of her closest friends that she is interested without a little help. Overall, Garrus' romance is endearing and several times it left me giggling and blushing. I always thought that Kasumi would also try to help push Garrus and Shep together(because my Shep is socially awkward when it comes to any relationship that amounts to more than friendship).

Wait, isn't Shep driving when going after Kai Leng and then Garrus takes over?

Only if you put Garrus in the party second... I put him in third (due to my 5 year old screaming, "PICK EDI!! PICK EDI!!!! - what can I say he loves him some sexy droid)... and EDI took over driving, but cute visual, all the same.

I think it's  hilarious how fem shep just has these super horrible/hilarious lines with Garrusmance, like the:

"We can test your reach... and my flexibility (giggity giggity goo)"

I still just... facepalm at that line. Although the first time it happend I was too over the moon that I could flirt with him to mind much.

I think Shep just likes making him flustered because normally Garrus is so unflappable

Yeah... he was definitely taken aback, it was adorable. I like when he admits that he's never had a "human fetish."

Yessss. Flustered Garrus <3

So I guess with the car dialogue from the Presidium date this means that Garrus didn't blush when Shep propositioned him in ME2 (or any other time during that game for that matter)?

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii don't know if I believe that. Haha. Maybe a Turian blush is something so subtle or alien to humans that we won't know when one happens unless some helpful Turian lets us in on the secret.

I wonder what was going through his mind when Shep gave him the reach and flexibility line?
