What really got me was the whole Normandy bit. It makes absolutely no sense. After all, if you ask Hackett why he chose Shepard to command, he basically says its because Shepard is an inspiring leader and makes people believe in the fight. So why would the Normandy crew flee? Most of them have been with you since the beginning. I prefer to believe the ending never happened. When I saw it, my first thought was What the!

Mother had to listen to me rant for days. At least she was sympathetic and understanding about why I was so upset.

Sorry, but how can you seriously make such claims when you got gratuitous ass-shots of Miranda during ME2 and 3, an over-sexualized Ashley for ME3 despite the fact she said she hated skirts in ME1, a photoshopped Tali from an image found on Google, a screen prompting you to buy DLC RIGHT AFTER THE CREDITS?

Haha, I was a bit suspect of that claim anyway, but when you put it like that.... yeah. Okay. That's fair.

Besides the game was MARKETED as entertainment for the masses. Not a high brow art show. At least, that's the impression I got.

Where are the gratuitous garrus ass-shots!?

Hero concept my ass! My Shepards deserves a damn good vacation with Garrus after all that! :P
After three games we deserve better than just endings that kill of our main character we've been with for five years!

Btw, I must have been crying so much since I can't remember the krogan babies conversation at all.

A confession, I did cry a lot during that as well, but the conversation itself just etched into my mind. My response was very out-of-character (seeing that I am not so fond of the idea of having children), but it suited well for my Shep and Garrus. So at that point I actually detached myself from my character and let her choose her own path. With me crying like a krogan baby in the background.:crying:

My mum would never understand (neither dad or any other relative, for that matter) my crying and being depressed over a video game for days on end. Luckily I'm engaged to a wonderful real life Garrus  who sees me through thick and story-wise-thin me3 endings.

... everywhere! Before and during her loyalty mission especially. In ME3 it's when you talk to her in the Spectres area.

They always seem to find an excuse to put her ass in the way. Irritates me even more since I like her as a character.

Edit: Heh, my mother hates the fact that I even play games. She definitely wouldn't understand.

To be entirely fair, you can have something that's both blockbuster entertainment and artistic.  It doesn't happen as often anymore, but look at Inception.  That filled both categories beautifully.

That is true. But the argument being put forward seemed to be along the lines of that we didn't understand/enjoy it because we were looking at it in the wrong way. Which I'm yet to be convinced about. No way I've looked at it so far has been consistent or sensible.

That argument pisses me off even more when I realize it's basically saying "You don't understand, therefore you're senseless idiots. Not our fault if you understand the wonderful depth of our work."

Reminds me of something. I took drama classes in high school and whenever we prepared a play, the teacher would have it his way, no questions. Whenever I pointed out on occasions "The audience won't understand. It won't make sense." he replied "Doesn't matter."

Now I'm not saying Bioware are that full of themselves. On the contrary. I believe they truly care about their fanbase, if only for financial reasons (to be cynical).

But the words "artistic integrity" do not apply to those atrocious endings. Objectively speaking, they fail on every. Single. Level.

I like to think that in that first conversation with Garrus on the Normandy, when he reaches for the bottle under the console, that Shepard is looking at his butt.

Also, until recently, I never noticed that almost every time you talk to Miranda you get a shot of her butt. Now that I noticed it irritates me. Actually, I'm finding more and more things to nitpick.

I showed my mother the endings and youtube videos, and I think she is angrier than I am at this point. She keeps comparing it to Babylon 5 and says that the ending stinks. (Well, she uses a bit more colorful language than I) She also witnessed my sudden mood swing from happy and giddy(unusual for me) to depressed. She has never played the game, but she is willing to discuss it with me.

I like to think that whenever she can, Shepard is looking at his butt.

Which is why I liked reuniting with him in ME2. Nice ass-shot. And contrary to Miranda, you didn't have... well, this:

"Investigate". Really, Bioware?

Then again that if I wanted to see art, I'd go to an art gallery or such; if I want to escape this reality and see a few rainbows and a couple of unicorns, I kick a few bad guy behinds and get my happy escapism experience. Period.

I wish I could do the same.

Now here's to hoping this campaign won't be shut down.

Hehe. Oh, all the internet memes that popped up over that. To be fair, though, we romanced Garrus takes Shep's hand...I zoomed right in on his crotch.

Anyone here know a workaround or something for this?

As I'd like to try and fix it, if it matters Reckoning has the same but turning off some texture thing fixed it in that game...

Aw, thanks! I've been stalking this whole thing for about a month now, that and the Marauder Shields thread...

I actually thought they did a pretty good job with Thane's part in me3. I find Turians to be more appealing than Drell, anyway.

I think saying "winning" would be past cliché now, but it's the first word that comes to mind.

The most epic smile he cracks is the one on the top of the presidium when you take the Paragon interrupt. <3 I replay that scene over and over JUST to see him smile like an idiot.

Mine does that after extended play. Exit, reload? Computer restart? Mine always goes away if I exit (to the desktop) and reload.

I'm playing ME2 right now and yeah...Miranda's ass gets more screen time than Shepard. What was awkward was my mom walked in right at one of those moments and she gave me such a look. I tried to explain it's not my fault guys play this game. D:

My mom doesn't really like that I play video games either. ._.

Darn it, I can't play ME3. I just can't.

... maybe if I start ME1 again an ending DLC will be released by the time I get back to ME3? :crying:

All right, will stop whining now.
