I must be in the minority of female gamers.  Miranda's one of my favorite characters in Mass Effect.  I'd happily hurl Eva Core's chassis, Vega, and the VS off my ship if I could have her back as a squaddie in ME3 ^_^

Garrus is always incredibly polite and sweet to Liara as far as I can remember.  And he and Ash got along...well, as well as can be hoped for with Ash.

Miranda grew on me, I didn't like her in the vey beginning but once I hit her loyalty quest I warmed up to her. They did a great job with her ME3, she actually looked tired and weary. I did think she was a little harsh to Jack. I love all the characters save Jacob. Especially ME3 Jacob, the jerk. >_>

Solidarity!  I love Miranda, too.  Not as a love interest, because I usually play a fem!Shep, but she's a great character.  I sobbed buckets when she was killed by Kai Leng in my playthrough (I still don't understand where I went wrong there) and could not hit the DIE DIE DIE button fast enough.  She showed up in my final dream sequence too -- "Finish this, you promise me."  SOB.  Miranda... <3

Just wanted to to say too...  I stated out as a dedicated Thanemancer, but I went back to the start of ME1 just recently so I could finish the trilogy in one go.  I was going for another Thane LI run, but...  I don't know what it is about this time, but Garrus has such great character development throughout the games. It's those little moments that everyone else has mentioned, and seeing his character evolve and grow has been awesome.

When ME2 came around, I romanced him the second it became an option.  After just finishing ME3 (tonight actually), I don't know if I could ever have my fem!SHep go for anyone but Garrus.  His romance and character are really wonderfully done.
Now, I'm just trying to work out a head!canon ending where Shep and Garrus somehow end up together...  :(

So am I. I'm terrible at those kind of things. Let's still hope for a new ending DLC.

And yay, another Miranda fan! To keep her alive you need her to be loyal and you must have talked to her three times before heading to the Sanctuary. One of these talks include warning about Kai Leng.

I killed him because of Thane. The renegade interrupt at the end of the fight was simply exquisite...

So I know this must be old news (and it's a bit off topic) but I didn't realize until today that Vega is voiced by... Freddie Prinze Jr. ... HE CAN CALL ME LOLA ALL HE WANTS.

(And it's now obvious that I come from an age group that has a big old crush on Freddie from his day of being in every teen comedy ever)

Well it's official. Nobody but Garrus and Vega in my party from now onwards!

OH MY LORD! Look at all the Garrus smut that happened while I was away... I'll just... be over here with that....

I really love to hate Miranda. She is a great character to antagonize. Her and my Shep were total rival, but with a high level of respect for the other and their abilities. In retrospect one of my 3  favorite ME2  characters, along with Garrus and Mordin. I like Legion too but more in ME3.

also, I was thinking of the old Garrus thread and how so many of us wanted to see Garrus and Shep going around the galaxy righting wrongs at the end of the triology. Well I guess the whole ME3 is pretty much that. A Garrus fan dream (minus the ending).

Thank you for the info, Karrie788!  I missed her first meetup and had to talk to her by the holo in the Spectre office.  She was loyal in my plathrough and I did warn her about Kai Leng, but I only talked to her twice before Sanctuary, so that must have been it.  She had a terrific death scene, though.  It was very emotional and fitting for her character.

That's a good point, outmane.  You get Garrus really early in the game and do sort of travel the galaxy like vigilantes settling old, minor scores before the big ending payback...  That never really comes due to star!child magic, but I digress.  <_<  I also like that idea for them after the game, if you just headcanon away the ending.  Awesome galactic vigilantes to the very end.

Well we can all agree that every bit of the relationship with Garrus, either platonic or romantic, in ME3, was completely amazing.

Edit: No problem, happy to help. You'll see that the scene in which she is saved is pretty amazing too. Her relationship with her sister is great.

Edit 2 : Oh, and don't forget to give her the resources she asks for!

He's so adorable.  Though as of ME3 I have never been more glad that my Shep's an orphan.  She's already worried about her team, worrying about family too would drive her mad.

I hit that Renegade interrupt like the fist of an angry god.  I have never hated an enemy more than Kai Leng; his stupid face mask, his voice, what he did to Miranda and Thane, and most of all, his fights.  I've never liked video game fights that are auto-loses no matter what you do, and that piece of walking crap just got excruciatingly annoying.

This. I was filled with so much rage. He even had the nerve to send a mocking letter! It was very satisfying to hit that button.

Kai Leng fell flat as an antagonist. I honestly was annoyed by his whole persona. It also irritated me that he was basically a dog on a leash. Those videos of him in the Cerberus station, he was basically like 'Can I kill Shepard now?' over and over again. That letter and all of his sayings at the end were irritating and I felt the only reason he ever won was that he didn't fight fair. I honestly thought my Shep was going to kill him on Thessia.

Kai Leng lacks any link to Shepard. And insight on his motivations. And a character arc. <_<

This.  Apparently in the leaked script he was supposed to be a more prominent villain; he had interaction with the VS and his/her Spectre partner on Eden Prime, for example.  But in the finished game, he is just a big pile of fail.

Harbinger was a well-done villain (in ME2 at least).  I hated him and wanted him dead, but I also feared and respected him.  He drove the story in a meaningful way.  I hated Kai Leng not because he was a good villain, but because he was an obnoxious, overrated POS who overstayed his welcome the minute he turned up.

Question: anyone think they made Garrus a bit taller in ME3? It keeps nagging at the back of my mind. Not that I don't like it but I seem to remember him and Femshep being almost the same height in ME2.

I don't think he's anymore than 5-6" taller than her. FemShep's pretty tall considering that turians are over 6'.

I never expected Turians to be giants...until that mission on Palavan's moon. When I first saw them next to Shepard I was like "...the f**k?"   0_o

Welcome back to the Garrus love!

I think the thing about turians being 6' or taller on average comes from the ME wiki, which in turn references the in-game Codex.  My FemShep's kinda short, so Garrus is at least half a food taller than her; she has to go up on tiptoe to smooch him ^_^

Also, just got into Garr-bear's ME2 romance.  God, he's so adorkable

I like to think that whenever she can, Shepard is looking at his butt.

Which is why I liked reuniting with him in ME2. Nice ass-shot. And contrary to Miranda, you didn't have... well, this:

"Investigate". Really, Bioware?

I forgave Bioware for the ass shots when they gave Miranda a deformed butt in ME3 XD

Anyone remember during the Citadel Coup, when your squadie forces open the elevator doors? I LOVE it when Garrus does it, he looks like SUCH A BOSS.

TOP: Have a neat comic.

Garrus has such an adorably short fringe in this.
