*snip awesome post*

That said, hold the line for a better official ending by BioWare: It stops people like me from spending their free time with strange activities and prevents boring posts like this one.

Wow. I have no experience with making movies, but that sounds fairly doable.  If BioWare still hasn't released decent ending DLC by the time my super-canon playthrough gets to ME3, I'll do just that.  I am a terrible artist, however, so I'd probably have to use in-game images or ask other people's permission to use their images.

I wish there were modding tools for modern games like the Infinity Engine tools for BG2 :(

Infinity Engine? I have not much experience with that, I just manipulated some dialogue in an existing flirt-package for the 'canon' romances and tweaked an epilogue text for another romance mod.
But the Construction Set / Creation Kit is one of the most awesome ideas Bethesda ever had.

And, besides the "save the original look-and-feel" argument, being a terrible artist myself was another strong argument for me to take screenshots ;)

However, I just realized that my current replace-stargazer-movie apparently faces additional problems. The first (and, luckily, more important) part of my 'alternative ending' works perfectly, but the second movie freezes about half-way. Music continues, though, and no crash to desktop, so if necessary I'll just shorten the happy-end-screens and make sure the last *shown* screen is my last *intended* screen... Nothing wrong with 20-30 seconds of Garrus, right?

Another round of debugging is calling.

I remember Aurora for Neverwinter Nights. Or the map editor for Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

HOURS of fun.

Yay cookies!

I don't think I have the skills to make my own ending. Wish I did. I'm still hoping for Bioware to fix this mess.

Until then: FULL DENIAL MODE. (Which is not working.)

Edit: TOP again? Ugh. All right, a classic. (I love Fraps.)

THAT THAT THAT. :o That is the pose I was talking about a few pages back as being my fav Garrus moment. LOL. He's like 'oh yeah, baby' and Shep is in the foreground arms crossed leaning away going 'wtf'.

Also, in regards to all Sheps being drunk/high....Adrian deflects seriousness through sarcasm. So, while she was actually 100% serious about getting it with Garrus, she acted silly and made a joke so that if he was totally not into then she could laugh it off and they could remain friends.

AND there is this. http://fuckyeahbiowa...re-400-cupcakes
Fans are sending Bioware Edmonton 400 cupcakes...they are iced red, green, and blue and all taste the same. I LOVE THIS FANDOM.

- edit -
also, these Javik comics are hilarous http://skoolmunkee.tumblr.com/

I'm planning to create some new endings myself using the Unreal development kit. It is essentially the free version of the Unreal engine and is basically the same as what Bioware would've used to create ME3, only difference being that they've probably customized the engine to suit their needs.

That cupcake campaign shows how much the fans truly care about the game in an incredibly positive way. AWESOME idea, whoever came up with it deserves cookies (or, in that case, even more cupcakes).

Hope it makes up for the trolls in Bioware's eyes. They screwed up, but they don't deserve the hate.

This.  ME3 was 90% perfect, and ME1 and ME2 are still absolutely fantastic games.  And I think it's unfair to pin all the blame on the studio as a whole: the DA and TOR teams had nothing to do with this, and even they're catching some flack.

should have new turian pics shortly.
As for endings, I've noticed 'catalyst-kid' sounds some like Harbinger...
for me everything after fShep trying to reach console buttons isn't real, Harby's lies.
Having read the comics (evolution) the reaper artifacts generally have the blue electricity as seen on "control" ending, huskify...
here: http://thaivron.file...ion-page-22.jpg
http://i4.ytimg.com/...s/hqdefault.jpg
have you noticed /most/ husks/indoctrinated have blue glowy eyes?
whereas renegade Sheps have red, ME1 Sovereign-holo-shade (...virmire)

----------
my 'canon' Reapers also have factions, not "all" attacked... So, Sovereign's been trying to help Shep...

.. I'm having fun with 3ds max, me3 + fanfics (I /can/ work with the current endings, ignoring just 'stargazer/child-bit')

This.

I know the kid from Earth was supposed to be representing the people Shepard couldn't save blah blah blah but after this scene;

And after the Catalyst took his form...everything that came out of his mouth was immediatley suspect.

She is obviously awesome and hot as she is a Vakarian. I mean even Garrus dad turned out to be a hero in the end.

Wait... what did I miss? What happened to his dad?? Last I heard they had just 'made it off safely'. D:

Well Papa Vakarian had enough judgement and guts to believe his son about the Reapers and furthermore, reported the situation to Primarch Fedorian.

That makes him a badass in my book.

"trust this child and ye shall burn!"  shepard your subconcious is trying to warn you!

The fact that shepard is smiling there (to me anyway) implies something isn't right...and when I played ME3 again I noticed many more clues that this kid wasn't what he appeared to be. At first I felt sad for him...NOW my eyes narrow when I see him.

I hate him too. Very much. I tried not running after him, to find some other way of the nightmare. Pointless :pinched:

Oh and the slowing effect during the nightmare, it irkes me to no end.

I've always hated the whole subplot with the kid. That first scene where he gets killed on the shuttle made my eyes roll. The fact that he kept bothering my Shep's nightmares irritated me even more.

When the Catalyst showed up... well... >_<

Would've been far more effective in that final dream to show your living crew, squad and/or LI burning instead.

Cool! That one is literally waiting to be read in another tab as i type this LOL. I've been working my way through the winners. I'm always the last one to discover these treasures haha. Some of them are really quite good. We could really use a long epilogue fic like A Midwinters Thaw for DA:O. That fic was amazing

From his first appearance, I was just waiting for someone to point out that the kid wasn't real and hoping they'd get to it soon instead of dragging the point out. I thought the nightmares were proof that something odd was happening, not that Shepard couldn't handle knowing a kid died. When the Catalyst showed up, I was sort of disappointed that Shepard didn't demand to know what was going on and finally clarify that.

Really, I'm mostly annoyed that she was so stuck on that one kid. Hearing Legion and other dead squad members in the dream was a lot harder and more affecting than seeing the kid burn.

Before the IT came up I never noticed that nobody but Shepard noticed the kid. But it's true, it's very odd.
Dead squadmates whispering in the background was actually the only thing I liked about the nightmares. One whisper keeps coming back that I don't understand: "I have humps and scars. I hope they give me character." Something like that. Does anybody know who says that?

Ah, sorry. There's a mod for PC to replace Liara or Joker by Garrus in the ending sequence. But I guess you can't mod Xbox files. Let's hope Bioware adresses this, I am sick of having Liara shoved down my throat at every turn.

Edit: TOP. Damn it!
