I'll buy it as fast as Bioware fixes the endings. Before that they get nothing from me.

I loved that article btw! Made me laugh out loud.

Does anyone know what happened to Chellick or Gavorn? I miss my two turians. :(

I think Chellick died in the first Citadel attack at the end of ME1. As for Gavorn, he is either dead from the Cerberus attack on Omega or we will get to meet him if the Omega DLC has any truth to it.

I bought it a few weeks before ME3 came out. I wore it for the midnight release and also wear it on exam days as it has been dubbed my "lucky shirt".

Also, anyone else confused by the FB post about the turians and reapers etc, etc....that seems like it should have come out a couple of week before ME3 came out instead of a couple of weeks AFTER?

But...but I thought he was mentioned somewhere in ME2 as "Executor Chellick"? This makes me sad.:crying:

Chellick's alive during the events of ME2. There was meant be some content involving him but it was cut out. He was supposed to be the Pallin's replacement as C-Sec's executor.

So techinically he's not dead but also not mentioned. Which is a bummer since I really liked him.
He had the cutest short fringe ever~

He was.  Pallin died in the first Citadel attack making Chellick Executor of C-Sec.

There's been no mention of Chellick in ME3 that I know of.

Not a peep.  I'm sure he still exists; there's still an Executor's office to C-Sec since that's where the salarian councilor almost gets capped during the coup.  And events are conflicted on when Pallin died; according to ME2 he died during Sovereign's attack.  According to the comics, he died when Bailey capped him between ME2 and 3.

I think of the games as more canon anyway <_<

That video is brilliant. I like the whole Legion & Friends actually. I hope they do more, but I heard it's done through stop motion so even if they do, it'll take a while

Off-topic: I'd been leery about saving Kaidan because I heard he was ninjamance-y in ME3, but he's been...fine. Likeable, even. And I haven't gotten ninjamanced once. Maybe it's because I've been picking Renegade options when it comes to him; they fit well for a Shep who isn't romancing him.

Did you romance him in ME1?

Best way to avoid the ninjamancing is to point things out very clearly during the Mars mission. You need to pick a paragon answer at some point (the first after Liara tells you that  he is very capable) to bring up the relationship then the renegade one to make clear things are over. Then you can remain professional when you go see him at the hospital, he will behave correctly.

I found it out the hardway on my first playthrough. If you just take the renagade answer, it delays the 'relationship' talk and it makes it seem like Kaidan doesnt understand what 'go away' means.

Also, the renegade options when it comes to the character dialogue arent working like in ME1-ME2. You wont be crazy rude, just short and professional. If you really dislike someoen, best thing is not to talk to them at all.

Specially Liara, who enters your quarters like its her favorite pizza place <_<

After having run a few of my renegades, I realized the renegade option often doenst mean what it ment back in ME1 or ME2. You cant accidentaly (or intentionnaly) be rascist or pro-Cerberus or tell people you dont care about them. During missions, the paragon/renegade choices are about diplomacy and caution vs winning at all cost and kicking asses. But during personal convos, its strong friendship vs professional attitude. For exemple, you cant tell the VS you think he wouldnt be a good Spectre. You cant tell them they are amazing or simply that they are a great soldier. So if you dont think its a good idea, better not go visit them (but then you might have to shoot them during the coup)

No, I didn't.  I wasn't even nice to him in ME1.  But he's been great in ME3.  Professional, responsible, sweet, and not a moment of ninjamance.

My understanding is if you go on your citadel date with Garrus and agree to be a "One Turian Woman", that the Kaidan and Liara romances are immediately cut off and no longer available. So unless i'm mistaken, just have your date with Garrus before meeting with Kaidan and Liara in the commons and there is no chance of a ninjamance.

That's who I meant.
(No offense to the people who love her, but I can't stand her.)

You know, I miss being able to be racist in ME1. I love roleplaying douchebags. But going from game to game, it's as if Bioware themselves had not truly defined what they wanted "Paragon" and "Renegade" to mean.

Mass Effect: Inquisition.  Mass Effect: Retribution also still has Pallin as head of C-Sec.  I think they've gotten things a bit mixed up.

If you do so, you dont even get the option to romance them anymore. Which makes it feel like they *understand* youre with Garrus. So yes, its a must.

On the hand, on my faithful Kaidan run, I prefer to go play with friendly Garrus first, then have my romantic 'sanity check'. Theres no ninjamancing with Garrus so im not afraid.

@ Sable  Kaidan can totally be professional in ME3. Id go as far as saying if he isnt, its probably because the player didnt make it clear right from the start or acted less then professional themself. All I would have wished for is a payoff for regaining the VS trust. Maybe some extra mission around the fact that they are Spectre now. Lounging in the observation board isnt exactly what I expected. VS was right to be cautious about Cerberus, but the 'game' never rewards them for it. Instead of being whiny and insecure, people would see them as smart and cautious if they had helped Shepard get rid of a dangerous Cerberus implant for example.

At the hospital, it's hard to take the paragon options with Kaidan without coming across like you're hitting on him. I was a little frustrated because, while I had no hard feelings with him, I adore Garrus and didn't want to accidentally get sucked into shipping Kaidan. The game makes it pretty clear when you can't turn back with all the different characters, though.

And yes, I found it frustrating that the VS doesn't join your party until halfway through the game, and then, after he or she does, they never have anything to say. Maybe Ashdan knows what you've been up to, but you have no idea what has been going on with him or her. Kailey should be able to fill you in on whatever's been happening in his or her life for the last..... 3 years, instead of being little more than furniture. (Though it was pretty funny when Ashley got tanked and passed out on the floor.)

This.  It's funny; I went from meh on Kaidan in ME1 to ok in ME2 to really liking him in ME3.  It also helps that now I know my way around the ME1 ninjamance so he never so much as looks at my Shep sideways.  They're just friends, and he's a damn good one.

EDIT for TOP: Enough about the VS.  Garrus time!
