I believe that article is just marketing, it takes place prior to ME3 storylines.

I think the friendship is part of what makes Garrus' romance progression seem so natural. It's a slow burn sort of thing.

Well, until he gets her in bed.  Less of a slow burn there :D

Hahahahaha. Scandalousness.

My boyfriend gives me so much flack whenever I play the game. 'Ugh! Are you goig to kiss him?!? He has a beak!'

Poor. Poor Jacob. Oh my god. For the man who (potentially) gets the most women outside of Commander Shepard, he sure gets given a hard time.

In PAX related news, John Dombrow will be at the ME3 panel. For those who don't know, he wrote the Genophage Arc, Javik and Garrus for ME3 (Including his romance).

I never fangasmed harder in my life. I suppose he's lucky I can't be there now.

I can never see the supposed predatory bird resemblance with Garrus (bar the head fringe) Can anyone else?

It's more obvious in the  nekkid turian concept art.  I think he looks more like a velociraptor, especially with those teeth.  His eyes too have a very predatory quality.

Predatory bird, No I don't really. Predatory dinosaur! Maybe, yes, a little. But an amazing dinosaur.

His body "plates" look kinda halfway between bird plumage and large dinosaur scales to me.  And his feet are definitely bird-like.

I haven't really checked out the art yet so I'll take your word on it. His leg spurs though, talons and facial build always rang reptilian to me.

Also adding myself as someone who takes Garrus on every mission, to the point where I forced myself to take liara and Tali on one and I think little pixel jaws dropped and Garrus seemed a little miffed later. I think my game pixels are aware!Posted Image

Here's the concept art.

I've never related turians to birds. Raptor comes to mind a bit but I can't really relate turians to lizards either.

Is it just me, or is Garrus' "love/sex" scene too short (the one before Shepard's last nightmare) compared to other Li's?

Oh well, playing the scene over and over again in a row will fix that...I guess?

:o  I'll have to make sure I get to that one! I can't wait for PAX! I'm actually leaving for Boston tomorrow morning. Who else is going? I know I won't be the only Garrus fangirl..or boy there. Ugh. I'm so afraid that I'll just be wandering around lost the whole time and miss all the panels. I have a terrible sense of direction. :crying:

It's short relative to Liara, Kaidan, and Ash's love scenes, but honestly I prefer it that way.  I can imagine just fine what goes on behind those doors, especially given how awkward pixelated sex scenes usually are.  (DA:O, anyone?)

That's what I thought at first too, but then I read that cryptic little message from Chris Priestly that said,

"Can Palaven be saved?"

You're right and I'm grateful for that, its just...couldn't bioware pan the conversation longer so that I can hear more of his voice? Or at least had the dialoque wheel paused on his face so that I can stare at it for hours? =]

But I still thought it was well done, just short.

That is exciting. I'm only going on Friday, but that's when all the best stuff is happening. Garrus is my favourite everything from Mass Effect.

Well done and short, yes. I would not have said no to more dialogue...

But on the other hand, considering what we got (especially in comparison with other 'romances'), I will not even think about complaining.

Edit: Sometimes this poor European gets a little bit jelous. Snipe one for me, will you? ;)

Let's face it, there's a reason it was short. It's the same reason Tali's face was shown in a picture.

Not sure why they wasted an entire model on shirtless Vega for that one scene and didn't use the time to model one of the aliens who would have been appreciated far more. <_<

On the upside, at least Garrus' scene was written well. I don't really care for the awkward sex scenes either, tbh. I haven't seen them, but I imagine most of the length in Liara/Kaidan/Ashley's scenes were them flopping around, so no loss? :P

My big complaint about the sex scene: Couldn't they at least have taken his visor off, or better yet, have Shep take it off as she kissed him? I just would like affirmation that it's not permanently attached to his face. ;P

Nah, judging by Lair of the Shadow Broker it has way to much sentimental value for him to ever take off.

hello everyone, newbie here! Always want to share garrus love with you girls. :P
A little random thought on turian. Isn't turians are a lot like protheans in the culture/thinking? I just found this in turian codex "despite a somewhat colonial attitude towards the rest of the galaxy, the ruling hierarchy understands they would lose more than they would gain if the other two races were ever removed." So actually there was some similar ideas that ruling all races in the turian society. But hierarchy dismissed that idea. And isn't turian is the only specie call them "empire" (same as protheans)? BTW Javik shows some appreciation towards turians, although garrus doesn't like it. :P

Hello Suracity! Always nice to see some new people here! :)
Well that's the big difference between turians and protheans: turians see more benefit in cooperation than dominance. But they do show similar imperialist views.

I love DA:O but those sex scenes were laughable. I almost felt like I was playing with my Barbie dolls and making them smooch awkwardly without their clothes on.

As for the dialogue, I'm happy with the quality of Garrus' lines. Honestly even if it's shorter, we cannot complain, quality is there. I'll take Garrus "What's bothering you?" over "Ok, I didn't come here just for a quick drink" anyday (no offense to Kaidan, I like him too).

For the Kaidan scene, they really are taking a roll. But where the scene gets out of awkward pg13 and becomes cute is when they wake up after the nightmare with a blanket on. I know Turians are supposed to generate moe heat then humans but I hate seing my Shep in the cold after the nightmare.

I love how Garrus is lounging in the chair afterward (even if its clearly because they have no naked model of him). It gives the whole scene a 'were at home vibe'.

TOP: I found those on Awsomepedia. The guy definitly is a renegade ^_^
