Thanks guys, you are awesome. Sorry for sharing, I guess I needed to let it out of my chest.

Hello, new computer background!

*hugging*  Garrus makes it all better.  Well, not ALL better, but sexy turian eye candy sure helps.

Garrus indeed helps. Lots of hugs Karrie!

You guys are swell, I love you all. <3

As for the last run to the beam, I'm not taking Garrus next time. I completely freaked out when Harbinger shot us and I couldn't see either him or Tali. So... I'm taking squadmates that I... don't really care about. I won't say names, that would be mean.

@alyxor- It has. Thank you.

.... Liara. *runs like hell* I'm sorry. I tried to like her.
I'm also taking Javik, I like him but he wants to commit suicide anyway.

Garrus would never let you go ahead alone ! Did you knock him out so he stay behind or sweet talk him about those 'mutant babies' so he keeps the bed warm while youre gone ?

Given how reasonable and calm my darling Shep is, I think she knocked him out.

I thought Liara was pretty boring in the first game. I like her a lot this time, but I can totally see where you wouldn't. A lot of people are pretty frustrated with how much screen time she gets at the cost f other characters.

And Javik, yeah. He doesn't wanna stick around, which is kind of a bummer. I could see him and Garrus spending retirement fishing and scaring kids off the lawn.

Alternately, I really didn't like Tali in this game. Can't put my finger on why.

And man, it really bummed me out to see half sythetic EDI, Joker, Garrus and Javik pile out of the Normandy without me. I didn't mind my Shep dying alone, exactly... but them stranded all together without Shep just feels like someone dug out my chest.

Javik does want to stay and explore the universe if you don't let him touch the memory-shard. ^^ He says something like wanting to see what peace looks like (as he has only known war).

Ooooh. Didn't know that. How do you keep him from touching the memory shard? I feel dumb for asking, because it seems like it should be obvious but I can't remember.

I feel the same way. I think for me it has to do with a severe falling out of love with the quarians in general. They were just total idiots this time around.

It also may be that she seems to be playing out the same exact characterization as Garrus ("I have this new job where I've got a ton of lives I'm responsible for and I'm not sure how to handle it"), but she doesn't pull it off with nearly as much subtlety. By the time she finally joins up, I feel like I've heard all that noise before.

There is the scene where Javik asks you if you would want to remember the past in his place (referring to the memory-shard). If you choose yes Javik touches the shard but if you choose no he leaves it alone. The farewell-speech is then different on Earth and Javik says there is much to see in the universe. :)

I always take the no answer because Javik is awesome. :D

He is really awesome. He's basically a living troll, calling everybody stupid and primitive.

Not to mention he asked me "Did you mate with the turian?"
I burst out laughing at that line.

Anyway, thanks for the tip.

Whaaa? When does he say this? All I got was the bit where he said, "You and the turian are... Joined?"

I swear, I missed some of the best stuff my first PT, if some of the comments here are any indication. O_o

I am sad because Javik is awesome and I want him in my game, but I refuse to pay for any DLC until the mess BioWare made of ME3 is fixed.  ...I don't suppose it would be ethical to pirate either, or even possible with Origin.  *sigh*

@ Sable: I admire you, actually. I'm the first one to b*tch about Bioware/EA despicable commercial moves, but I bought the Collector Edition. Talk about hypocrisy.

No, I think it's the same moment. The translation is a bit different in French. There are some priceless lines such as this one.

Don't feel too bad. I liked Javik, but he was hardly essential. I didn't take him on a single mission because there was always someone else I wanted to bring instead.

@Karrie: Ahhh, that makes sense! Okay, I thought I'd somehow skipped over something. There are few enough times anyone mentions the Garrusmance as it is!

Yeah. I really really liked Tali when she was the only Quarian in the game. I also got a lot more use out of her in the first game. There just aren't enough Geth/Cerberus Turrets in the game to make her worth taking along for anything other than the Rannoch missions anyway.

I still liked her in 2, but the honeymoon was totally over.

Did anyone else feel like there was a scene missing between Garrus' first battery dialogue and the Citadel date? Shepard ended the first one suggestively noting, "We have a lot of catching up to do."

And then comes the Citadel date and Garrus is all, "You seemed like you needed time to figure us out."

Huh? When did she give that impression? My Shepard didn't need time, the Normandy's stupid comms system just wouldn't let her invite him up! >_>

I feel like there's something missing there, like a scene where Shepard takes a rain check because she's got those stupid ghost!kid dreams on her mind or does something that prompts his lines later on.

If I was FemShep in this pic, I would caress him, take his hand off his fatal wound while he does the same to me, and we both lie down, and touch each other's faces with our blood soaked hands.I rest my head on his slender neck for a bit, listening to his heartrate slow down, beat. by. beat. Ill smile to him, take his visor off,  hold his hand tight, and mutter to him. "Nice killshot Garrus... drinks are on me".

"Shep-.... I..." but before he finishes his sentence and takes his last raspy, labored breath, I grant him one last kiss on his cold bloody lips and he purrs softly. His grip on my hand loosens and his eyes close gently...

"I love you too... Garrus Vakarian...". I wrap his lifeless arm around me as I rest next to him with an embrace.

"Dont forget to meet me at the bar...".I'd whisper into his ear, and shed a last tear as I lay dying... for him... with him. :crying:

Sorry if that was cheesy:unsure: but that would my perfect bittersweet ending :crying:

Here's to the best videogame character ever. We love you Garrus Vakarian!....always will...

@alyxor BEST. CAKE. EVER. It's everything I love and edible to boot. The comic the cake-baker authors is pretty brilliant too.

@Karrie788 I hope you're doing okay. Here's something to cheer you up. Or at least hopefully get a laugh out of you.

I think it's mostly that she's up to her ass in stress; the genophage cure, keeping the peace between Wrex and Victus, then the Citadel coup...she has a lot on her mind, and I think Garrus decides to wait until they have a breather before he talks seriously about the relationship.  In the meantime, he's happy just giving her support and comfort.

Though I'm sure they take the opportunity to blow off some steam :)

But it doesn't seem like that. He makes it sound like they've been dancing around the romance 'question', even though it seemed like that was a question I already answered in the battery with a Paragon interrupt. :P

Some things you just have to wave off as gameplay mechanics. The game has to ask you direct at that point, because its the moment-of-no-return for romances.

Personally, I took it as him wondering if the relationship had a possibility for a future. In the first dialogue with them, Shepard says something like, "I can't promise how this will work out, not with this war..." So that's the followup. Is it working out? Then Shepard responds accordingly.

Also, the teasing way he says he knows where Shepard sleeps after the Tuchanka mission kind of implies they've had some downtime too.

I know many of you guys prefer to waitout in ME! then throw yourself at Kaidan/Liara but if you don, then the first half of the game you get to settle things with the poor soul. I think that's what the writers were meaning by 'time to figure us out'. But I understand it makes no sense to people who did not have a prior LI since there was no doubt right from when you rekindled  with Garrus after the Primarch rescue that they were both into it. Lots of moments like that happen with the Kaidan romance, having to cater to both the ME1 faithfuls and the new romancers.

Sorry, this may be a spoiler for Loved and all... but I reject any "dying together" endings, bittersweet or not. Meghan won't hear of it.

Hehe, mine won't have it either. It's babies or nothing.

Love the fanart btw. Did you draw it?
