you guys should print it and use it for the PAX thingy on Friday

Seconded.  PAX East will be...interesting to say the least.

Also, just had an MP match with three turians :o  Unfortunately, I was playing my salarian, but it's still fun being surrounded by turian combat barks.

Not to change the subject, but has anyone noticed if Garrus’ LM from ME2 (saving/killing Sidonis) comes into play at any time in ME3? I swear I agonized over that decision for what seemed like forever, and would like to know if I missed where it gets mentioned?

A friend of mine found a deleted file that indicated that Sidonis died getting Solana and Garrus' father off Palaven.  Now, I can't confirm, since I'm on the 360.

I have to replay Meghan's game because of that, now.

... WHAT. Why do they keep cutting awesome stuff like that from the game?!

Drat. That would have been so cool to have that implemented in the game. Why Bioware, why? Posted Image

Hrmm. I don’t have Javik so can’t comment on him. And honestly I’m not sure I will ever bother getting him either. The $10 price tag just doesn’t seem worth it for a squaddie I’d probably end up leaving on the Normandy most of the time anyway.

As for characters I don't like... I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like Javik. I dunno...I'm with Liara on this one. I expected him to be this paragon of manliness of knowledge and culture but he is just so cold and acts so superior. I really can't stand that in people.

Well try to put yourself in his shoes, imagine going to sleep and waking up to find there were no more humans and cats, dogs, lizards, etc were sentient, wouldn't you be somewhat shocked/dismissive? After all dogs used to sniff each others buts.

I think you had the perfect reaction to Javik, Rilan. The writers made him vindicative and superior to annoy the paragons who would like to 'save' him and show the renegades that there aren't that impressive. If you went 'oh, hes a nice guy' then they probably had failed.

He isnt personaly enjoyable, but it makes a nice experience to have him around so you can hate him / admire his badassness, depending on where you stand.

On the other hand... Garrus! He is definitly acting 'experienced' in ME3 and still is a badass so its the best of the 2 without acting 'superior'. I guess its his humorus side that makes him more 'human'. sorta.

I didn't find him offensive, necessarily. I guess I'm most disappointed that he is a warrior only. I expected him to be a font of information, to be super helpful with the Crucible, etc. I totally understand him being cold and distant since he just woke up and found all of the probably non-space faring species evovled and such. He probaby couldn't (or at least had a very hard time) relating to anyone on the Normandy. Plus, he is understandably wary of making friends given how that turned out for him on his ship. :(

I was most surprised by how well everyone took the exclamation that the Protheans conqured those who didn't agree with them and assimilated them into their culture regardless of thier wishes. We, humans, obviously have done this in the past and surely the other species in ME did too, but at the time Javik wakes up no one does that anymore....except perhaps the Krogan. The Protheans were basically dictators....demanding their way or the high way. Kind of like the Reapers if you ask me. :?

I also fully expected him to betray Shepard at some point. He made it very clear what his goal was and if Shepard didn't meet them I didn't expect him to stay.

You fellow Garrus fans are killing me-- so many good links and pics. My husband found that NSFW comic on my tablet's browser and hasn't stopped poking fun at me since.

So anyway, I was at a beer festival in Seattle on Saturday, and was wearing my Garrus shirt. One of the vendors saw it and said "Hey, it's Garrus! Right on! My girlfriend totally slept with him!" And of course, without thinking, I said " Dude, so did I!" My beer-snob buddies know next to nothing about Mass Effect, and the WTF look they gave us was priceless.

Oh my God, tell me about it. YOU GUYS (as in this thread) ROCK! Some of the most awesome and understanding friends ever and yeah I had awkward moment in public too. I was with my good friend at a train station and previously he asked how i became a xenophile. So then at the station i said: "yeah i started getting this fetish with Garrus... goddamn it he's so sexy (keeping in mind that Im a guy and im straight)". My friend then looked to the left awkwardly as if he was signaling me to something, so i turned to my left and I saw a young blonde woman take a few steps away from me LOL. So then I said loudly and casually: "I LOVE GARRUS AND I WANT HIM INSIDE ME! AND MY SEXY TURIAN FETISH IS SEXY!"<3

My friends gave this look right after: -______-

LOL i love turians, and i love you guys for understanding... especially Garrus<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3:wub:

This... is the best RL Garrus story I've ever heard. I don't have the t-shirt, but if I did I'd probably just get strange looks from the people around here. >_>

Yeah, I can't support that. As much as the 'Retaker' line seems to be 'it's not about the happy ending', for me it is. Don't get me wrong, I want closure and logic and choices as well, but... I spent two games getting the best possible happy ending, I expected the third game to match that tone. The theme of Mass Effect has never been victory through sacrifice, it's been Shepard can do the impossible.

I support tropical getaways and war orphans.

Very well said. The whole theme of the games wasn't sacrifice, but that doves would fly out of a limo as Garrus and Shep step out of it...

I like you, human. You understand.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't have minded a warriors' death scenario for ANOTHER playthrough. I was completely ready to sacrifice Jane. Not Lexane. Not her. I just can't kill her. I've grown to love her just as much as Garrus. Letting her die... nope. Can't do it.

Yeah, see, I'm in the camp where having actual choices should be the main objective. The 'happy ending' (as happy as it could be considering how dark the rest of the game was, we're not talking the dreaded 'sunshine and rainbows') shouldn't be off the table. Neither should self-sacrifice.

But I'm getting off-topic. Seriously though, I don't want to meet Garrus 'up at the bar'. In my headcanon, the date is on the beach. He can still bring the wine. B)

Something funny I found over on Reddit:

"Garrus isn't romance-able in ME1 because you have to die before you can go to heaven."

Yeeeeees!

Edit: TOP! HAVE A GARRUS!
