Hahaha. Yeah. Okay so maybe some of us are specifically Turian!Garrus-sexual.

And the copious amount of smutty fanfic I've consumed over the past few days isn't helping. Mandibles, and talons and radiation resistant plating! Oh my!

It's funny, because I do find Garrus physically attractive, but not other Turians. I find the turians visually appealing, but not necessarily attractive. Yeah, even I don't understand it.

I'm the same! I like their design but I can honestly say that I only find Garrus physically attractive. I keep wondering why, because I didn't find him attractive at all at first. His tone of skin looked pretty dull to me.

It's a mystery.

Thats funny. Well for myself I always prefered low res ME1 Garrus. His skin (specially the face) was lighter and smoother. Too much 'grain effect' on the skin just looks wrong to me (not the fact that its that way, jsut the ways that it is rendered. It turns out looking more like granite and less like chitin) I like his scar of course, even i it can look a bit 'carved in' when the lighting hits it wrong.

Nice to know I'm not the only one. I think part of it is that Garrus has better textures in ME2, he's pretty low res in ME1, resulting in the dullness you mentioned.

Besides scars are sexy! Posted Image

Yeah but see, I recently replayed ME1 and... damn, that armor of his. <3 I miss it.

Have to say that the look he has when he mentions "an eye for an eye, a life for a life" before his loyalty mission in ME2 was incredibly hot as well.

Yep. Not that it looks bad or anything, it's just not as attractive.

Which is even stranger.

Ditto. Some of the human versions of ME characters fanart can be spot-on, like Mordin looking like Egon from Ghostbusters haha. But the Garrus ones.. meh. I don't know if I just prefer Garrus as is, or find him unconventionally attractive now, but separating him from his turian design makes him less... interesting to look at as a human.

The human versions are usually attractive but they lack the 'fierceness' of Garrus (not sure waht the proper english term would be). That glint in the eye, you know.

Speaking of his loyalty mission...

Please tell me I'm not the only one who let him kill Sidonis. After letting him toss around and shoot Harkin. /renegade

Sidonis, yes. Garrus is a grown up man, i'll let him handle his team and his grieving like he wants. I wasnt there to see how things unfolded, so Im not gonna judge how he should or shouldnt handle things. (I wouldnt let a real life friend hurt anyone of course, but I also dont work for a mercenary group in real life)

But I always stop him from shooting Harkin. If he deserved to die that would be something else, but no torturing/maiming on my team. Garrus was jsut pissed and wanted to hurt someone unreated to he whole 'squad betrayal' so that was going a bit too far with anger.

I stopped Garrus from killing Sidonis with my Sara!Shep. Mainly for roleplay reasons. She didn't like the way he was going about confronting Sidonis. Sniping him from above? Not confronting him face to face? No Sara didn't like that one bit. I always imagine when she says that it's not like him that what she means. Also she is a colonist/ruthless background and as a paragade she deeply regretted the death of her men on Torfan she sent them to their death, and killed the surrendering Batarians because she wanted revenge for Mindoir. But it didn't change anything her parents were still dead and she was left with more emotional problems than she went in there with.

Anyway, she sees Garrus is going down this path and she doesn't want him to have to learn the lessons she learned the way she learned them, because she loves him and wants to spare him the pain of it (it's not necessarily the wises course of action, but love makes us do stupid stuff). Like she tells him (in my headcanon anyway) when he asks why she didn't let him take the shot "Because it's one decision, Garrus, one misstep, one act made with clouded judgment before you're known by names like the 'Butcher of Torfan'!"

I'll be the first to admit though that Sara doesn't always follow her own advise. Does this make her a hypocrite? Maybe, but I like to think it's just that she struggles with those "shades of gray" as much as Garrus does. This is why they are so perfect for each other.

Although I kind of wish Garrus had actually confronted Sidonis, I agree. By letting him choose his course of action I wanted Shepard to trust him to know what he wanted to do + consequences, especially if I'm going to expect his loyalty in return. It wasn't (my) Shepard's decision to make.

For Harkin, I had more selfish reasons. The guy honestly came off as more slimy than Sidonis did, but mostly, I just enjoyed watching Garrus toss him around. Stepping on a dude's neck was something Shepard had just done in Thane's loyalty mission (with Garrus there) beforehand, so it was like he was picking up on her ...methods.

PS. With Sidonis dead and the quarian & geth getting along after I yelled at the quarians, Garrus' family still survived.

Not to mention that his voice drops about an octave in the English voicing.  Even though I Paragoned Garrus in both ME1 and ME2, I find angry, ferocious, darker Garrus to be devastatingly sexy.  He still has hints of that from time to time in ME3.

I find some human!Garrus pictures attractive (some just look silly, depending on what they do with his hair), but none of them are Garrus. When I look at them I just see a human guy who is dressed up as Garrus for Halloween or something. :P

@Sable Rhapsody: I know exactly what you mean. There are times when I feel like I should be creeped out or disapproving, but I just end up turned on by his intensity. For instance, the entire Harkin scene or when he talks about carving names in TIM's skull. Darn it Garrus, stop confusing my Paragon sensibilities. :<

Seriously.  I both want to stop him for roleplaying purposes and jump him for being so goddamned sexy.  Though he does turn on the intensity without the scary during his Citadel date.  DAT DIPKISS.

Garrus hits all my bad boy buttons (intense, badass, plays fast and loose with the rules) while still being an incredibly good dude.  He is literally the perfect LI.

Yeah. With the romance in ME3 he's pretty much ruined me for all my other literary/fictional crushes as well.

He's equal parts reckless bad boy and dependable best friend. It doesn't make any sense but somehow it works.

And yessss, the DIP KISS. The way he grabs her and the look on his face and, and... Okay, I need to play that scene again. >_> <3

That's it! <3

And to think Thane was designed for female gamers specifically! Thane is a handsome man, but turians/Garrus? They leave drell in the dust in my opinion. No offense to those who love Thane, I romanced him too. ^_^

Thane hit the nail on the head for some of us girl gamers, and not so much for others.  Just goes to show that designing a character specifically for women is like trying to herd cats :D

Some of us like our men tall, taloned, and mandibled.  What can we say?

After ME3, I can never romance anyone else. I really liked Thane in ME2 but seeing what happened to him and what happened with Garrus.
Once you go Garrus, there's no turning back~
Like with Fenris in DA2.

I like Garrus because he's Garrus. I like ALL THE TURIANS because they emote the same way in general (or, at least the characters we get to interact with). Professional, matter-of-fact, mission/society first... but they all have such dry senses of humor. They all take care of business but they're all rather sardonic in the way they talk. Still make it a point to be clear in their sincerity, too.

Sounds legit to me. Who wouldn't like that?
