I think I'll be on full Bioware mode until this summer! Between the enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate (I am so hopeful) and the new ME3 DLC... playing ME2 right now and loving every bit of it, I think I'll move on to Dragon Age for a while after that. I've never romanced Fenris. Maybe it's time.

Off topic, I got a friend who just told me he LOVED the ending because it was so deep and original. <_< Those were his exact (translated) words.

I can think of words in both French and English to cover what I want to say, but I'd get banned.

Swears in Mandarin are the most colorful.  There aren't any swear words in formal Mandarin, but some of the dialects engender...interesting phrases :D  I can think of several I would use.

Yep, I ran away from the main forum too. I was completely following the Retake movement up to this point, but the amount of negativity over there baffles me.

Zevran: I'm not into monogomy. You can never tie me down! (But you can tie me up. winkwink)
Alistair: I, er, um, ::stammer stammer:: (::blush:: ::stammer:: )
Thane: I'm terminal! (Soooo, I thought up a new petname for you...)
Jacob: I'm emotionally closed off due to... something or other. (No seriously Shepard, stop pushing me. I'm calling HR.)

I know this from a while a few pages back but you forgot the SW:TOR guys:

Dark side romances:

Malovoi: My Lord please! You are sith a relationship between us would be improper. (Can't resist you, driving me... crazy)

Andronikos: So sith, I'm not the type to settle down and neither are you. (So I figured we should get married and settle down)

Thorian: I don't have much personality but I'm voiced by Johnny Young Bosh and I'll speak in mandalorian to you. (Also I'm voiced by Johnny Young Bosh)

Vector: Okay I got nothing, Vector is by far the most unique romance option and I can't think of anything, something to do with bugs, that's all I got.

Light side romances:

Doc: Hey babe, I think you got a little hurt in that last fight, why don't you come on down to the med lab so I can "examine" you. (Why am I developing feelings, you better not be mind tricking me)

Aric: I'm really not good at this soft stuff, I never thought I'd want to be in a relationship. (How in the hell do you manage to make full body armor look so good?)

Corso: How 'bout we go somewhere quiet and I'll show you a good time? Dammit I can't do this, I'm not that kind of person. (You deserve better)

Felix: I'm as interesting as Jacob. (Without the PRIZZZE to make me memorable)

I don't think I did Corso justice but that's all I got.

LOL, Doc's actually quite sane. And funny.

And Aric reminds me of Garrus a bit. He was a sniper, after all.

Malavai, however.... REALLY needs those classes.

I feel so bad for the TOR guys.  I was in the middle of playing TOR with my bounty hunter and my friend's Imperial agent, then ME3 hit.  And now whenever I look at them, I go, "But you're not as awesome as Garrus!"

Popped over here to escape the madness!

Just to sum up how I feel about the DLC announcement (then back to Garrusness); personally for me this makes me so very happy. It gives me a glimmer of hope that I will find out what happens to my squad and LI. After that I can imagine the rest, but just to have an epilogue of some sort.
That is what upset me the most about the end, NOT KNOWING.

As for the DLC topic: Im excited too! Though personally I just want to see what BW had planned for afterwards. As in their original plan before all this controversal ending debate happened. But reuniting with garrus and seeing a "happy ending" would please me greatly.
But back with the original plan and based off the whole indoctrination theory - It pains me to know that Garrus is somewhere among the rubble severly hurt like Shepard is. I had brought him along with me on the run to the conduit.... I know he's alive. He has that tough exoskeleton, PLUS heavy armor. He took a rocket to the face and lived. Any human take that and they would die instantly. Not Garrus. He held on long enuff to go to the normandy and everything. If Shepard lived, so did he. It gonna break my heart though to see him all bloodied up....again. I had promised myself that wouldnt see him beaten up like that if I could prevent it. Seeing him beaten and armor torn will have the memories of him on the floor in a pool of his own blood, flooding back Posted Image I could imagine him trying to get up, limping to locate the others - falling on occasion due to the pain but still determined as always. And even more so to find Shepard especially.

Like Garrus himself said:
"Im hard to kill."

I'm cautiously optimistic on the DLC, if the VA's are in involved it gives me hope. I still kinda want the IT to be true. I really don't want EDI and the Geth to be dead, but if it isn't true then I'll still headcanon they lived. Starbaby did say Shep would die with her cybernetics but we know that's not true...

Doesn't most of the crew have cybernetics, Garrus included?

I watched the TOR romances on youtube just the other day, man.. Aric proved to me how special the Garrusmance is. He felt like Garrus Lite, they hit all of the base notes with him without getting that essence that makes Garrus great.

- He's an alien
- He's a sniper
- He's dedicated and reliable
- He's got that 'tough guy exterior hiding a secret awkward woobie' thing going on
- He was in some special squad that immediately made me think of Garrus' Omega team
- His girlfriend is voiced by Hale

I was getting serious, "If you like Garrus, you'll like this guy!" vibes, but all I could think was that he looked like a werewolf from a 50's B-movie and he was voiced by Lassie from Psych. I know Garrus Vakarian, and you sir are no Garrus Vakarian! :P

I liked Malavai Quinn and Doc the best. Some of the others felt too much like rehashes of their previous romances or gimicky (that guy with the thing in him. Vector?). Doc is like an even funnier Atton Rand who looks like Bruce Campbell as the King of Thieves. There is nothing about that description I don't like.

Malavai was like a romanceable Cullen. Mmm.

I thought the Asari didn't need cybernetics? Would bioamps count? o.o

Buh...but but Corso....

He's kind of refreshing from either the super dark or super badass men that Bioware produce. He is a lot more....understated. But in a good way. He's a good foil for my crazy smuggler. B)

Asari don't have to have them but many, if not all, get amps to augment their biotics. :wizard:

And then you have the question of what constitutes a 'synthetic'. Do VI's count? Because most ships and personal omni-tools seem to have VIs installed. Heck, even the omni-tools themselves. Are ships, computers and people's arms going to explode?

More importantly, if computers everywhere explode, what will Garrus calibrate?

Just read the DLC news! Yay for more ME# stuff and getting an update on my pooor Garrus. I really, really, really hope the epilogue doesn't read something like "And eventually Garrus moved on and one day he opened his eyes and saw Tali in a new light" *eye twitch*

Also, does that flashback mod work for Xbox?

Personally my favorite is Andronikos, the relationship can kind of be compared to Zevran but unlike Zevran he doesn't freak out when he realizes things are getting serious, he just accepts it: "Usually at this point in a relationship I feel the need to leave, but for some reason I don't feel like leaving," no unecessary drama and I found it refreshing. He's also the only character that continues to give your character gifts after marriage.

As for Doc I found him amusing, but he came on a bit too strong for my tastes. The Malovai romance is hilarious, your charactes keeps on teasing him, he keeps on trying to avoid you, then that thing happens near the end that completely ruins it. I guess Vector comes down to personal taste, I found him fascinating.

Actually yes & no - we dont know for certain if shepard is "special" or something. Maybe it was just the pure synthetics that died. Like the reapers and the geth. I like to believe that the "godchild" just told shepard she could die as a means to further her from choosing that option since it was supposedly the "right" option. Shepard survived, so there was obviously more to it. Maybe just that part was a lie.
Only crewmates I can think of that have some cybernetics, aside from Shepard herself, are Garrus, Joker & Grunt[made using Reaper tech after all...].
I dont really see the biotic amps kinda cybernetics per say. The repear mind trick child kinda hinted more to shepards state, where in her case she actually NEEDS the cybernetics to live. Biotic amps are just enhancements. Not a necessity. Same applies for Garrus. Chakwas needed to implant cybernetics into Garrus to keep him alive along with the surgical procedures.
Now since Shep lived, and she's got LOADDDDDDDDSSS of cybernetics in her body due to her resurrection by cerberus, than Garrus [with his minimal cybernetics] is alive as well. They're just both barely conscious at this point.

They were crazy enough to strand them on the presumably-levo Gilligan's Planet (if the stargazer is any indication). I don't put anything past them anymore.
