I love how the "dextro clans" kinda banned together in agreement towards the whole "Team Dextro" slogan taken too far out of context on Biowares part XP
I have no problem with it. Sure, I HIGHLY prefer Garrus & Shepard as a couple over....well.....everyone else.
I think its cute, but I really dont take it seriously. I see it as a joke more or less. Something put together for sheer fan service. In the course of many years, they both havent really shown THAT kind of affection towards each other. Sure, theres been quite a handful of banter, but that translates as a tight friendship. Ive gone back, analyzing over cutscenes in me1 and 2. I just.....i dont see it. I just see a great older brother to younger sister friendship where they have each others back. I wouldve fully supported the couple if there was just more evidence in the previous games that they had those affections for each other. Heck Miranda & Jacob seemed so much more obvious, as well as Joker & EDI. Even playing the game not romancing either - its the same dialog b/w them. Id be for it if they actually showed more incentives. I just felt it was poorly executed, hence just not believable to me. Like i said before, its cute theres an option they can be together - but its more like one of those Mass Effect inside jokes if anything. Heck, IGN and a few other journalist companies are calling their scene in the main battery an "Easter Egg". Cant get more silly than an easter egg....

Ha, I think it's cute. Obviously I would rage if it happened anytime during Lexane's playthrough but I have no problem with them hooking up on my Shenko one. The scene itself is pretty lulzy, plus it's two minutes long, nothing too serious, as you said.

They could have had potential as an actual couple if it had been fleshed out better during the three games. With a "hate to love" arc, I guess. Shame. Ah well, I'd rather have Bioware focus on Shakarian than Tali/Garrus anyway, so I'm not complaining.

I believe so as well. Like i mentioned in a previous post - "Reaper mind trick child".
The eyes are one of few things that further proves the indoctrination theory.
Shepard is indoctrinated fully with the options other than destroying the reapers. Even just seeing shepard going up to shoot that power conduit further porves it. After like the 3rd or 4th bullet - Shepard stands tall; not limping. Doing damage to that conduit was loosening the reapers grip on her.

@sniping... my fshep is a Vanguard and can snipe with the sniper rifle... couple times shep has stolen the killshot from Garrus so...

Garrus says that because Shep didn't pick enough paragon or renegade dialogue option to "paragon" or "renegade" him. In short, he's still confused about who he is and just wants to thank her for bringing him along, instead of deciding that he wants to return to C-Sec or that he wants to apply for Spectre training.

He ALWAYS says that though.  Doesn't matter what your alignment is.  For some... that stutter was enough to headcanon a burgeoning attraction for their Shepard from the very beginning.

Really? I had the C-sec conversation with my super-Paragon Jane. No stutter, at least not that I can remember.

I don't headcanon him falling for her either. I think he becomes attracted to her in ME2, once she opens his eyes with the infamous yet atrocious "reach and flexibility" line.

Meghan and Avery always Paragon him.  (Only real difference is Meghan appreciates the shot to the merc's head in the clinic, Avery (Kaidan girl, straight paragon.)  They both get that stutter.
