That Kai Leng image is hilarious! I just killed him again like two hours ago. Did it ever explain why he wanted to kill Shepard so bad? I never got his motivation, especially since he's indoctrinated. Harby and all that.

Kai Leng was just a bad Garrus-wannabe that failed and went really bitter. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a sniper rifle so clearly the next most badass thing to run around with was a sword. Or something. There's a motivation in there somewhere!

Kai Leng broke into Anderson's apartment and ate his cereal...huh. I bet that was the real reason Anderson shot both Kai's legs. I do admit the sword was pretty funny in a WTF way. Garrus was probably shaking his head in badass shame. I hate Phantoms btw.

Found a really sweet fill on MassKink.

I particularly like it because it's a nice little look at what the cultural implications of turian courtship might be like and how certain signals could get lost in an interspecies relationship and good on me for making that sound really clinical and kind of boring but if you're up for a quick read I really do recommend it. I love the hot stuff as much as the next person but when an author makes the effort to create believable cultural details and does it well, I can't help but be a little more appreciative about the fic overall. It certainly gave me a new outlook on FShep + G's romance reunion on Menae. Also, Adrien Victus seems like a cool dude when he's not being the Primarch.

Is going through all the prompts and expanding the reponses really the only way to find stuff unless someone with admin rights creates a list of links to specific fics a la People's Choice Awards and whatnot?

No if you click on the delicious link you can filter everything, you can make so you only see filled prompts and make it so you only see shepardxgarrus fics.

But there are three heavily armed commandos with guns pointed at him and a master assassin standing right there.  Kai Leng should have been a smear on the Citadel floor.

Personally I think one of their mistakes with Kai Leng was making him have so much trouble with Thane, if say Thane had merely stopped him from the assassination but then Kai Leng had taken him out easily he would've become a much more threatening villain, and instead of wanting to kill him because he's a pathetic douche we would have wanted him dead for revenge.

I understand that poor Thane already got a bad enough treatment but it would have gone a long way in making Kai Leng an effective villain imo.

That sequence is stupid in the first place. I just can't take it seriously when a terminally ill Thane goes into melee with a pistol against a guy who has a ****ing sword.

Seriously. Great way to have my back, Garrus! Or maybe he was too busy staring at Shepard's back.

Well since we see a ton of people shooting him near point blank with pistols with no damage, not even a ping off of his shields, Kai Leng obviously has an innate immunity to projectiles.

I honestly expected more from Kai Leng considering how ridiculously godly they made him out to be in the books. He apparently can kill krogan with his bare hands or something. ::eyeroll:: I hate when they say certain aliens are more agile, stronger or better at biotics than humans only to have some UBERHUMANS show up and be better than the aliens because they're just that awesome.

Oh! Speaking of, for anyone that got the CE and that Aria comic that came with it -

- was anyone else really ticked off when the random Cerberus guy* got the drop on and took out both a fully-armored turian and a fully-armored krogan -- who were both facing him with guns at the time -- before either one could react? If that hadn't been the last page of the comic I would have stopped right there. I distinctly remember throwing it across the room.

* The Cerberus guy who was wearing nothing but slacks and a t-shirt, who had no cybernetics that we could see (unlike the ME3 Cerberus agents), who had no weapons at all, and did all this while he was in handcuffs and after sustaining a beating from said turian and krogan.
