@Bluumberry: Really? Because I've got the breathing scene before and saved Anderson both those times too. My EMS was the same also. o~o
It was probably a bug. Reloading the last save would most likely fix it
@ Pyn's pic:
Dat Saren~
He will always be the best villain, better than Illusive Man.

I'm still on my second playthrough so haven't tried it for myself but it was something I had heard others say before.
If I'm wrong then...good. Less stuff to hate about the ending.

@Mresa: Effing bugs. Didn't help that the old man was mocking me. Unfortunately the last save was right before hitting Earth, since it doesn't let you save after that for whatever reason. Bah. ME2 should cheer me up, even if I can't use a Sniper Rifle for half the game as an Adept. At Lear Garrus can improvise.
About the saving issue: Copying the autosave or simply renaming it ("Save00xx.pcsav") helps a lot, especially when testing or trying out variations. There's at least one autosave at the start of the "London goodbye segment" where you have to find Anderson, probably some during / after the larger fights that follow, one at the start of the Citadel segment, probably one before the confrontation with the Illusive Man, one certain autosave after the mess with the Catalyst (i.e., 100 steps in slow motion away from the end of the game) and one final autosave right after making your final choice, exactly before the movie sequences and animated cut-scenes start. Especially this one is pretty handy when testing things like the Liara-Garrus-replacer etc... Having to slow-walk the 100 steps once is bad enough, but about 20 times for testing is pure torment.

@Seleya_LL: I imagine that's for PC players though right? I'm on a PS3, limitations suck. Ah well, I'll try again after I finish my new ME2 playthrough (I'm crazy for doing multiple ME3 pt's I know).
Argh, sorry. Yes, I was talking about the PC version. No experience with consoles here, so I tend to forget that the PS3 suffers from a number of limitations. *Sigh* At least I usually remember *not* to suggest the Garrus-replacer to players I know to use the PS3 who complain about the Liara flashback - rubbing salt into wounds is never my intention, and doing it unintentionally isn't my hobby, either. Dextro-levo chocolate?

Garrusmancers, I need your help. I know ‘paragoning’ Garrus in ME (trying to arrest Saelon, etc.) changes ME 2 dialogue slightly, but does anyone know the exact difference in his lines and where I can read them? Videos would be great too….thanks!
Off the top of my head he says things like "I know you don't like it [killing Sidonis]" and such, nothing major.
I still think the best line is if you were renegade in ME1 and then paragon in ME2. Shows a nice conflict in ideas.

Ah ok, thank you Bluumberry. I’m replaying the entire trilogy and was considering paragoning him for something different, but then I got worried he might lose some of his ‘edge’ in ME2. Glad to hear this isn’t the case.

With my garrus-romance shepard I was pretty neutral wih him in ME1 (basically picking the middle options as I wanted him to do as he pleased) and so in ME2 he had some different dialogue (he didn't go back to C-sec or apply to become a spectre) but I think with Sidonis the dialogue options were the paragon ones.
I was pretty surprised how you treat him in ME1 actually affects some dialogue.

Well I'm a little miffed, just finished my 4th playthrough and I got the 4000 EMS and saved Anderson like my other playthroughs yet I didn't get the breathing scene like my previous plays. What gives? >.>
Just started up ME2 with my Asian Shepard (really hard to make for some reason) and just finished recruiting Garrus.
If you destroy the collector base or save Anderson [*], you need 5000EMS to have Shepard live. Anything over 5000 though and it doesn't matter, Shepard will survive.
*I can't actually remember if its save Anderson or not save Anderson. I assume you need more if you save him.

Do you happen to remember the paragon lines in his loyalty mission? Or better yet, have the link to a full vid of this? For some reason I can only find ME renegaded Garrus ones…

Oh Saren, you magnificent bastard you.
My Shepard can’t be the only one that has fantasies of being captured and ruthlessly interrogated by Saren aboard Sovereign. After all, Benezia shouldn’t have all the fun!

I can't remember the slight differences but I found a guy has done the full video in sections on youtube (paragon version)
I don't have time to watch them all (bout to go to work) to make sure they are the right version so hopefully it helps
