not even; had "show framerate overlay on screenshots" checked on purpose... (as sometimes game drops low in framerates)

Hahahahaaaaaaa. This is brilliant.
Spend a day or two away from the internet and everything happens. So much news to catch up on but I'm now tentatively in the cautiously optimistic camp. If Weekes and Dombrow are spearheading the writing for the EC then I've got more hope for this DLC than I began with. I just hope that Weekes and Dombrow combined can elevate the ending in a manner that does ME3 the justice it deserves. I don't doubt their abilities though; more that I worry that the field is so stacked against them - stuck fixing up someone else's mess of an ending (if you believe the rumours, and I am personally inclined to do so), the pressure from fans, pressure from Bioware and EA. Weekes and Dombrow have been put up as saviours if the ending turns out well, but also potentially scapegoats if it doesn't.

I have to say my heart kind of goes out to Dombrow and Weekes, but I do trust them. I hope that they're given the space and the resources to work to the best of their ability. Godspeed fellas.

 I came into Mass Effect quite late after playing DAO and seeing Bioware did Mass Effect 2 when it came out so I bought both MEs at the same time. My first playthrough was with Kaidan and after doing that I did the second run as soon as I found I could romance Garrus. 
If I knew Garrus was a LI before I played it for the first time I would have gone straight for him

I remember how ME1 had first come out, I wasn't into it at all. After watching my older brother playing it, I thought of giving it at least a try. My first reaction to Nihlus and Saren had been sorta like "WTF are those.....?" and when I bumped into Garrus for the first time, I thought he looked kinda cute. Also the blue armor and blue eyes sealed the deal for me.

Though I will say that I don't find turians as a race attractive; I find specific turians attractive.  Garrus, Nihlus, and Victus.  Saren is a bit of an edge case for me; I find the way he looks to be creepy, but I have such a thing for Fred Tatasciore's voice that I don't care  And as a race in the Mass Effect mythos, I still find the salarians the most interesting.  I know it makes no sense given their biology, but if Kirrahe made a pass at FemShep, he might give Garrus a run for his money as far as I'm concerned.

random... played 3rd playthrough. And garrus and Liara at the ending bs planet.

My brother garrus, he was suppose to be the top turian after this, maybe councilor vakarian. Not before drinking some beers with me watching the reaper corpses sticking half way out of the english channel. He got Tali, I got Liara. good ****)(*ing break for all of us.

Man can dream.

The theme is basically "I waited". It's pretty short, goes through ME1, 2 and 3 with Garrus growing old in the end. It's a bit poetic. I can't find it anywhere!

I refuse to get optimistic about Weekes and Dombrow doing the 'extended cut'. I was optimistic about ME3, and look where that got me. I don't want to get my hopes crushed again.

I'm just imagining that it's going to be awful and make it even harder to ignore the ending. I'm not going to worry about getting it or anything, and then if it turns out to be good, well, good. Following the Garrus motto this time around, "I like to expect the worst. There's a small chance I'll be pleasantly suprised."

I never really appreciated the potential of Mass Effect hipster culture appropriation until now. Thank you for helping me see the light. I want to meme these with my Shep so hard. Damn you Xbox. No screenies for me.

And then Kaidan yelled at Meghan on Horizon and she came to the conclusion she was dumped. And her best friend was there to help her pick up the pieces and well... there's that little fic I'm writing that details the whole thing.

just want to quote this for totally awsome bromance.

I know we always talk romance around here (nothing wrong with that) but reading posts like this just make me smile. Garrus is such a central caracter to ME and his relationship is fully rewarding for friendship. He's difinitly my most used squaddy even when not romanced

Pretty much the same thing happened to me during my first playthrough (oh how I miss the days of playing a game completely unspoiled).  Kaidan dumped me on Horizon and broke my heart.  But there was Garrus! My BFF from the frist game to put me back together.  Friendship turned into something more and by the end of the game I was smitten.
