When Garrus mentioned the "turian-human baby" bit, my jaw literally dropped and I began squealing because I had been reading fanfics in prep for ME3 and some of those fics involved turian/human babies.  I was like...damn Bioware you did it!!

The official Guide for ME2 said that you couldn't (and that you could on flirt with him).  I was :( then I decided to YouTube to see if it was true and was like :wub::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D in the end.

I have yet to see an official guide for a BioWare game that isn't full of POS inaccuracies.  The DA2 one was the worst.

Only flirt? Wow, the flirting went pretty far then.

I remember when the endings were leaked before the game came out, the prima guide supposedly mentioned that you could get a new ending with an NG+ playthrough.
At one point we were even all hanging to the hope that a fish could give us a secret ending.

Yeah, I didn't expect that turian/hybrids were ever possible, BUT... I must say that the thought of Shep and Garrus adopting is awfully sweet. 

I'm generally too busy with my own stories, so I very rarely write fanfic, but I'm very tempted to write something about Garrus and Shep with an adopted kid or two. So tempted...

The "I'm game." part was real. The part about biology not cooperating I'll chalk up to femShep being unaware of the stunning power of fanfiction. At least that's how it's going in my head. You two want babies? We'll find you a way to have babies.

The asari reproduce by using the genetic markers of the "father" species to randomize their offsprings' DNA.  Theoretically, FemShep and Garrus could do the same thing, use some kind of medical VI interface to randomize Shepard's DNA using Garrus's genetic markers.  The daughter would still be 100% human, a child Shepard could carry safely to term, but with some biological influence from Garrus.

I've never figured how how exactly the asari method of reproduction would work scientifically, but I imagine it'd be something like this: humans carry multiple alleles for specific traits (genotype) but only manifest some of them physically (phenotype).  For example, dark hair is dominant over blonde hair, but an individual could carry alleles for both.  I think using Garrus's DNA as a genetic "map" for Shepard's offspring would result in different alleles expressing themselves.  If Shepard had alleles for both light eyes and dark eyes, but Garrus expresses light eyes, their daughter would express the alleles for light eyes following Garrus's genetic markers.

That being said, I'm a neuroscience person, not general biology, so if any of you are biology folks, I'd welcome some input on this theory of mine.
