This might be quite a personal question but how old are you people? It's interesting as I really don't expect people older than myself really to play games or squee over fictional characters.

I'm 21, turning 22 this June. Glad to be at that age where everyone still views you as young, but you can do anything any other adult can.

Don't know if this has been posted here before, but I'm amazed Bioware didn't think of this:

I get a feeling that many of us ME players are twenty something (just like Garrus!) but with a lot of people over thirty and under twenty.

Garrus is more like 30ish, he is the same age as Shepard :)Think Shepard is like 32 in ME3, maybe older.

I don't remember where I heard this but isn't Garrus supposed to be a hothead young turian? Or was it just in my head? Anyway I think he doesn't act older than mid twenties in ME1 with his student like behaviour to Shepard. And Shep was 28 in ME1 so now she/he should be thirty or thirtyone.

But Garrus grew up fast when Shepard was dead and he dropped out of his state service way before his fifteen years was done to become Omegas Batman. So now I guess Garrus and Tali are just as mature as Shep even though they are five or so years younger. At least that is how I would prefer to see it.

To nit even further: she/he could be 28 if the story takes place before April. :P

Its a curse, and a blessing. helps to be 80% Asian I think. My father had gray hair in his 20's. I've yet to find a single strand.

100% Asian here (Han Chinese to be specific) and this is totally true.  My mom's in her mid fifties and could pass for thirty-odd if she wanted.

That's the thing, though; we look really young until we hit about 65 or so, then we suddenly turn into wizened, bicentennial prune people :pinched:

UNLESS the games takes place in January and it takes under three months for Shep to bring Saren and Sovereign down. :D
Speaking of which, how long do you guys think the story is? A few months?

Caught this on the Citadel after talking to the Council.

Image IPB

Worried? Esperanza? Nahhhhhh...

On topic, I'd usually assume a couple months. I mean, I imagine most of the missions were more than a day, unless Shepard's REALLY hyperactive.

I always think ME1 takes a full year, ME2 six months, ME3 3 months.

Okay, okay, Shep is 31ish. And obviously have a thing for for younger aliens... Not that a Garrusmancer like myself complains about that of course.

Hah, I was just being silly. I've always figured Shep was 32 in ME3. But for me, Garrus was either 26 or 27 in ME1. Plus I like the idea of him being younger than Shep, for once. Wish we had a canon answer...

I must be in a minority, I like to think he's the same age as Shep or a year older. Since we don't know his real age it's easy for me to picture. I mean Turians serve in the military until they're 30 right? And Garrus is an Officer in C-Sec, I'm not sure how fast promotions are given there but with his by the book dad I can see it taking just a little bit. Again that's just my thought on it and I'm sure I could be getting something wrong.

If it comes down to just strict aesthetics, I'd actually say ManShep and Miranda.  *hides*

Weekes said Garrus is under 30 in ME1, so he's at oldest the same age as Shep.  Garrus must've been promoted rather quickly through the ranks at C-Sec, though, if he was talented enough to be tapped for Spectre training.  Turians don't always stay in just the turian military until 30; Saren became the youngest Spectre ever when he was only 20.

I'm sure we'd find something to nit over regardless. Like turian erogenous zones family customs, the place of females in their society... stuff like that.

Ah well, he's at least the same age as Shep in my head.

I'm curious how people classify her age though. Is she technically the age she was when she died or does she go ahead and add those two years of being dead. Also since Cerberus rebuilt her, did they rebuild her exactly as she was? Like muscle, scars, and such? Or did she have to re-workout to get back to her military form?

I thought one of the devs confirmed that Garrus is younger than Shepard, I doubt I'd be able to find the exact tweet but I clearly remember someone, either Walters or Weekes confirming that, nothing on his exact age though.

I love how we are discussing age, when we don't even know what measurement of time that Turians (or even the galaxy) uses.

2 years for us well, it could 1 1/2 years for Turians....

If we went by Martian time, those who are 26 years of age on Earth would be 14 years in Martian years...

Heck, all of us wouldn't be a year old if we lived on Pluto. :P

Just saying ^_^

I think Palaven years are 1.2 Earth years.
Edit: Just checked on the wiki, I was right. I'm such a nerd. ._.

Thanks for the link! I'll be 8000 days in 25 days! Wow.
