Poor Kaidan, I actually liked him in ME3.  Of course, I never romanced him.  He's much better as Shep's adorkable brother.

Lately, that would be experiencing the Tuchanka genophage mission.

Rigthfully so. That mission was amazing and I'm glad he's feeling so proud about it. He deserves it.

Yes, that fiction has its moments. I was really glad that it was already finished by the time I started to read it. Still wanted to punch some characters and shake some others for their displays of partial stupidity, but that's usually a sign that a story is well written.

Thanks a lot for sharing this! He is really a talented writer, from a fan to a professional writer, and responsible for garrus, wrex, javik and genophage mission. Truly amazing.
And I just reviewed some dialogues of garrus, I like him being a "senior" on the Normandy, like calling James "kid".. I dont know, it just makes me feel warm and smile. And some small changes in his responding to different scenarios.

A very amusing fic so far.  Is it wrong that part of me really wanted something like this to happen in ME3 between Garrus and Kaidan?  Although, I think in-game they're both too mature to resort to that kind of snarky behavior.  It still would have been very funny though.  At least the Talimancers got to see Tali verbally own Ashley.

I totally took Kaidan on way more missions than I wanted to because I kept hoping there would be at least a tiny snipe in there somewhere between him and Garrus.

Like the chocolate convo on the way in to the Geth Dreadnought with Tali and Garrus when she tells me to "watch myself" after hearing Garrus got chocolates... which made me roll.

I just don't like the way the love triangle was handled with Kaidan having the balls to tell me he understands why I "cheated"... Really? Cheated?
I was hoping he'd be enough of a man to maybe congratulate Garrus, or tell him to take good care of me... something.

Yeah.  That would have been nice.  With both of their characters though--it kind of makes sense that neither of them would bring it up.  Since you get to essentially confirm your relationship from the very start with Garrus, it makes sense that he wouldn't necessarily see Alenko as a serious threat.  I liked at least that if you took Kaidan with you to the Cerberus HQ he voices some regrets about not going with you in ME2.  That was something at least.  But yeah, I never got any sense that there was ever a triangle thing going on with them.  On my first playthrough I went on Garrus' date first so I never even got the "I know why you cheated but I still love you and want you back" conversation.

I'm actually kinda glad that Garrus and Kaidan don't mention the love triangle.  Anders and Fenris's passive-aggressive sniping got pretty old after a while; my Hawke wanted to just turn around and clock them both.

True, I actually agree. I was glad I could somehow headcanon it. It would have been hard to write such a scene in the game and satisfy all players.
