Oh no, the return of Barrus!
Re: love triangles: I don't think they really fit in ME3, at least not in the same way they were done in DA2. Shepard's an adult and so are all of his/her LIs. The galaxy is at stake. They can put things like who slept with whom behind them and behave like professionals.
The one thing I wish the game had was a chance to call Kaidan out on his "you cheated on me" bullcrap. ManShep gets to chew out Ash for it, but apparently girls don't get mad too when falsely accused? <_<
Yeah? When?
Since I've never been able to do a full playthrough with M!Shep I went and YouTubed, and to be honest, it seems that both conversations are pretty awful. I'll agree with M!Shep that he was fine to move on but the way he handles it just makes me go "Ugh.
Draaaaamaaaa." It's just stock "bad relationship history" dialogue, and quite frankly, M!Shep comes across as equally a*se-tastic as Ash (at least that how it feels to me).
Youtube - M!Shep and Ashley: Whatever Generates Your Mass Effect Field. In a way I feel F!Shep got it better because she can at least see that Kaidan really is a tool regarding what went on between them - but she can just quietly confirm her suspicion, bypass the ugly stock photo drama, and move on the Good Stuff™. 'Sup Space Cricket? You lookin' fiiiiiiiiine today. She doesn't need to somehow push the idea that the decision to take up with Garrus was right because in the end, she gets to walk off into the sunset with the most boss hot water bottle in the galaxy, and Kaidan is left without a bedwarmer.
Edit: Hey hey hey. Tali gets all the good crew reactions to being in a relationship with Shep. No fair! =P
Tali + Shep: Crew Weigh-In.
