Makes me wish I understood a word of French.  But even without understanding what's coming out of his mouth, it still sounds damn sexy.  Garrus could read the digits of pi to me all day and I'd still be throwing my panties at him.

I've found that Mass Effect in French tends to sound quite a bit better than most other games, (although that may be the fact that it is decently translated for the most part @_@), save for a few specific passages. And also, that art. It is beautiful.

Turians are Space Romans with American accents. 

I thought Garrus was pretty 'bleh' personality wise. He made a decent bro-Shep and his awkward romance was pretty damn cute but I never did understand the love for him over say... Kaidan, Liara, or even Ashley.

Well, Turians were inspired by the Roman civilization. Hence the "turian", from "centurion" I believe. And their Latin sounding names. And their sense of honor and dedication. Makes sense to me.

Glad to hear you guys like French Garrus. XD

And to know as to why we love Garrus so much, well...

... he's got reach.

I dunno, he's got a very lovable personality. And those eyes. And that voice. Hell, everything! He's got tons of charisma in my eyes.

You don't see why we would prefer him over Liara for instance. Personally I can't see how people could prefer her over him. It's all a matter of tastes.

Turian culture is somewhat similar to romans, same goes with their names. Garrus's name is very similar to the roman name Gallus, which means "rooster" in Latin.
So does that mean that Garrus is an alien rooster? Could explain the head thing.

Well different people different tastes, as Mordin said "universe demands diversity"... I think it was him.

either way I dont understand the love for Ashley... well I do I loved her in ME1... now I hate her guts to the point I wish I could simply leave her in mars.

To each their own, in the end this game made good progress in depicting personality over appereance... Garrus and Tali are the .... paragons of such ideal.

And yes I understand the turian romans... is just you said he was a "roman half lizard bird"... an since garrus himself acts way different than the average turian I'd say he isn't really one. He is a human or a krogan for all intends and purposes.... well him and Victus.

Liara and tali... both look relatively human but even tali is so damn cute... and dem hips they scream perfection.

Like I said with garrus, personality, personality personality. And he in my opinion above all others is awesome, as a bro or a luv.

It's one of those girl things IN GENERAL. Women are more keyed to voices and personality than looks as relating to sexuality, and Garrus has a ... wonderful personality and a voice that makes sane women melt. I'm not sure I would find a random contextless turian 'sexy'.... But I'd sure define GARRUS, THAT  BADASSTURIAN WHO HAS YOUR BACK AND IS ALWAYS NICE AND RESPECTFUL as 'attractive as all getout'.

Oh yeah, for sure. It did it for me too! Because I thought, "Damn it's an actual alien I'd want to bang." I'm a sucker for tall types, and Garrus is pretty tall. Haha!

Comparisons...

Garrus vs. Kaidan: FemShep doesn't need a man worried (and worse blaming himself) about her. Although I appreciate his assertiveness all that talk about Rayna never turned my FemShep on. She goes by the same rule as I do. Exes are fine as long as you don't know what she looks like and don't know her name. That (for straight romances) leaves only Garrus.

Add info: I had an ex who'd talk about his exes the same way Kaidan did for Rayna, like "charming as hell, like you," (not cool with comparisons to begin with). That makes me weary. This ex was really bad, compared me to his perfect ex (I didn't find her so awesome, same FemShep would probably feel about Rayna anyways...she's mother f'king Commander Shepard you ass!) And Thane remembers his wife with perfect clarity. Plus she's the mother of his child. Not that I see it as a challenge or competition but damn that's a huge shoe to fill. Jacob has this weird thing going on with Miranda. Miranda's self-esteem is already shot, so why would I want to add drama to that? Yeah...

Garrus vs. Ashley: I let her live in one of my PT, hoping for some military brat bonding in ME3. I wasn't amused by her teasing antics in ME1. I felt like she was a high school queen bee who'd pick on the less popular. My current FemShep let her go in Virmire because Kaidan fits more into her future of intergalactic peace (esp. when he said "They're all saints and jerks like us,")

Garrus vs. Liara: Close, but I'm just not into Liara like that. I'm bi...and I don't find that kind of girl attractive. Samara and Kasumi fits my bill better, but they're "straight". There's just no tension or disagreement with Liara. She follows you no matter what. I'm cool with that most of the time, but I've got to have a partner with a mind of their own. Garrus' personality, to me, is stronger than Liara's because he's loyal but it's clear he's got his own life to live. Liara's agenda is always/often circled around Shepard.  

The ironic thing is...Who'd be impacted more if shepard was gone forever? Although Liara is Shepard-centric, I could easily see her move on (given asari longevity etc.) But Garrus, oh man, he'd be a mess. Also, I know it's not realistic but I've always been a one-human kind of woman. I want one person to commit to for life. Liara'll probably have several partners. Can't fight that but man has anyone been in a relationship where the ex's ghost floats around? It sucks. Relationships are complicated enough already...

On a funny note, Jenny, compared me to her ex... twice. Thats all the chances she got. You do not compare people period, specially to a previous partner. I did not know Kaiden was like that kind a bumbs me down his character even more... and he is dead in my playthroughs already
