Pretty much. To some extent, I think all the characters are a bit different depending on your personal Shepard and spin on it. EVEN more true when it comes to fanfiction/art. Mass Effect seems to encourage your take on it. And takes are different.

One problem with that:

EVERYONE'S TAKE BUT MINE IS WRONG!

Or perhaps quarians and turians have a tougher skin to protect their spine. Wich makes sense as they both are adapted to very hot and dry deserts. Turians at least have metal rich plates right?

This also implies that dextromancing Shepards like it a bit rough.

I dont know if it is iron rich...  it is implied it is "metalic caparace" but whether is iron or something else is beyond me.
Although in a wild guess I assume is copper given its brownish color. I dont know w/e

We know Turians... since we have pics of em and we know their caparace extends their back. But Quarians is a WHOLE different thing.
Grunt knowledge:
A- quarian biology before their exile, meaning their spines are somehow better protected than turians without their suits?
b- or is it based on the fact that now they have exo suits and that makes their spine more protected... given that exo suits are based on spinal movements.. at least one I can imagine.

Funny since I picture quarians no more fragile than a human... but when grunt said that it really really made me wonder wth they look like.

Given their Desert ancestry scales might not be out of the pictures. But doubt they have something similar as the turians given turian skin was coz big old fiery god wasn't stopped as much by Pallaven's magnetosphere.

Almost anything is possible with the quarians I guess. I doubt that the relatively thin quarian suit protects better than that big panzer bowl the turians wear in battle. The soft skin of a unprotected human doesn't last long in the desert, we are more adapted to beaches and savannah. So a more leathery appearance like the turians sounds more beliveable to me.

Protection against Cosmic rays is completely unrelated to prolongued exposure from low intensity rays.
One deals with composition and/or depth, other is pigmentation.

If anything quarians would be dark mostly dark in the skin tones... likely green.yellow.purple given their symbiotic relationship with plants if I had to make a wild guess

True, but pigmentation doesn't help much against dehydration and overheating. Then again we don't know if the turians and quarians can controll their body temperature like we can, wich would affect how good the external protection in the skin needs to be.

Doesn't have to. Pacific Islanders and Africans evolved with darker tones not to preserved water but to protect better against longer exposure. Something that complex as water conservation is ... camel or desert frog styles...

Which now that I say it outloud quarians remind me of the desert frogs... but they aren't fat... as the lovel quarians are made out to be so I doubt they can store large amounts of dense water... and they dont have a hump lol

On the temperature side.... I think they would have to. But that is just my assumption, being dependant on atmospheric changes of temperature for your body stability is a major hurdle when it comes to procreation, since you are completely locked in your current habitat.

I wonder though... does garris skin gets asphalt hot when in the beach? I can't imagine femshep being able to even hug him lol. Then again it would make a funny scene with water being suddenly thrown at him... or you could cook some soup in his... u neck bowl thing :P

Is anybody else noticing that multiplayer is still ridiculously glitchy, and the difficulty is increasing? It is a little frustrating to take 4-5 shots on an enemy before damage is taken, being snatched by a banshee that is nowhere near you, and having your character seizure out and start to walk 5 feet above the ground. Is it just a ps3 thing?

Anyways... it appears that the discussion here got a little warm here about our favorite turian's character. Isn't the appeal of this game that everyone gets a unique experience (minus the ending :P) ? So if you experienced it a little differently... then you are probably right.

I guess that is the only benefit to the endings being as horrible and inconclusive as they are. Between what you come up with in your head, and some of the fanfiction/art being posted out there, whatever you think your perfect ending should be is in fact possible. We have gotten to choose just about everything else up to that point, why not this?

As far as I'm concerned. My Shepard survives, reunites with Garrus, get married, and they raise a few children together. Shepard has a few human kids and they adopt a couple of turian kids (because who wouldn't want to adopt a turian?). They finally get the peace they are looking for. Yay!

How does your story end? Feel free to share.

If you can't bring yourself to play SP any more, spend 5 minutes to save your Shepard on Saturday.

And have some Garrus. (Mushy mode/Normal Mode)

- Who are you and what is your motivation?

We are fans of the Mass Effect franchise who were disappointed by the way the ending of Shepard's story was handled. We want to maximize the chances that fans will be satisfied by the Ending DLC. While many of us are Retake/HTL members, we do not claim to speak for the majority of either group.

- Retake has already won. What is the point of this?

While the production of a free Ending DLC is a step in the right direction, the announcement Bioware made was vague and could apply equally well to either a multi-hour playable extravaganza or a handful of epilogue slides stating things like: "ReaperGarrus lived for many happy days on Gilligan's planet before he finished consuming Tali's dead body and died of starvation." Our goal is to help Bioware get the funding it needs to produce the former.

- Why didn't you specify what a "satisfactory ending" is?

The fanbase is diverse and not everyone wants the same thing. (However, we suspect very few people will be moved to boycott Bioware if MORE CHOICES are provided.) Also, we trust that the company which made the Tuchanka missions is more than capable of pleasing the majority of fans if they internally peer-review their work. It is not our intent to demand specific plot points or outcomes. Bioware has over 600 pages of fan feedback and multiple polls to point them in the right direction.

- Why should I take part in Turn it On/Turn it Off?

If EA is presented with clear evidence that the quality of the Ending DLC will mean the difference between regaining supportive fans and driving away their customers, we believe they will finance a better product. It is imperative for people who can't currently bring themselves to replay the SP campaign to stand up and be counted instead of being written off as a "lost cause." Also, it's important that the "wait and see" crowd make their voices heard now while we still have time to effect positive change. Finally, it's free and easy to do.

- Why are you trying to destroy Bioware?

We're not. We want them to make an Ending DLC that is worthy of the rest of the game and then reap the rewards of their success. To that end, many of us will encourage our friends who haven't played Mass Effect 3 to download the demo (http://masseffect.com/about/demo/) during Phase 1. We are more than willing to bring new customers to the franchise if the ending is fixed properly.

They should totaly have given quarians humps. Then again that is the krogans thing.

There are many spiecies here on earth, reptiles for example, who can survive the huge variations in temperature you find in the desert without being able to regulate their body temperatures. Perhaps turians and quarians do like our desert lizards; bask in the sun on a hot rock when they are cold and crawl under the same rock when they get too warm.

Well Garrus do have a lot of metal in his skin so yeah, maybe. I imagine Garrus falling asleep in the sun and then Shepard comes along and fries bacon on him.
