I always suspected that using a artefact that had already BRAINWASHED a lot of people as a coffeytable decoration could prove to be a bad idea.
Always thought the first scientist was already half-crazy on Eden Prime, while the second one was either indoctrinated or simply forced (emotional pressure, he had a family who lived in a colony) by the Collectors.
Anyway, having a nice little shiny paperweight that used to be bigger than the whole room and transformed its size with no obvious reason - yeah, totally reasonable to put it on your own coffee table.
Oh, wait. Not.

The last thing I see is discussion in the story line about who Buddy will not bite... does anyone have a link to a continuation that I've missed?

Does anyone remember that little comic (but with actual in game pics) of Garrus and Shepard where the author is making light of the fact that Shepard fell asleep in her underwear above the covers because the Illusive man never provided her pajamas or sheets (and also had cameras everywhere)?

That moment when you randomly stumble across something that matches your headcanon. <3 Just found this while looking for new Garrus art on tumblr:
Posted by placentalmammal
In many human cultures, the color red is associated with emotion, power, strength, and anger. Humans are hardwired to view red and the people wearing it as more powerful and sexually desirable. Blood and fire are both red, and they lend their associated characteristics to the color. In media, characters with significant amounts of red in their designs usually share some characteristics with the color.
Turian blood is blue, as is Garrus’ armor. Blue is usually thought of as being a calm and levelheaded color, and Garrus is very much not levelheaded. He’s impulsive and headstrong, characteristics which, by his own admission, make him bad at being a Turian. But blue owes its associations with tranquility to its oppositeness to red, which takes its associations from blood.
So if Turian blood is blue, maybe blue, within Turian culture, carries the same associations that red does within human culture. If that is the case, Garrus’ blue armor marks him as emotional, stubborn, and potentially rebellious. He’s wearing the color most associated with his personality, but those associations are different within his species.

And also you would think that it would do more good in the hands of some prothean expert like Liara since it just might contain something usefull about reapers. Wich was the whole reason for searching for it with the not Mako if I got it right. But perhaps Shepard is just desperate to impress Garrus with cool and expensive stuff in the cabin, wich is totaly understandable.Aris Ravenstar wrote...

Well, she can have a miniature giant space hamster in her cabin. While not very expensive in relative terms, it doesn't get much cooler than that.Argraharg wrote...

The thoughts about blood colour are interesting. But if this theory is true and applies to every character, I don't really follow - calm and controlled Samara with blood-red clothes, then switches (literally) to the dark side of the wardrobe? Or Zaeed, yellow with envy as Vido has taken over "his" Blue Suns?
Personally I like Garrus' regular outfits very much, even without interpreting colour choices.
Edit: Some random thoughts...
1. I think it is very interesting that, contrary to the predictions of a certain Turian, it was Shepard who took the killshot.

2. To retire somewhere warm and tropical... Coming from a country where "summer" can be another word for "rain, rain, and more rain", I can see the appeal.

3. Even if Turians can not swim, bathing close to the shore in relatively shallow water should be possible.

No one actually thinks he's a bird... It is just some cute-talk. Or you know, based on the fact that turians are indeed modeled from avian beings according to Bioware. Not to mention it is mentioned in ME3 when one of the Alliance soldiers calls then "the Birds".
Makes sense to me to nickname them birds, really. What I don't get is the people who call them crickets or cats.

Every time some says that turians look like cats, I think of this.

And then I remember what Garrus looked in ME1 with his helmet on.

I want to have a reason to romance Miranda. Like, not saying goodbye to her through a HOLOGRAM.

I'd be thrilled to have more time with Garrus... but honestly I would be mad at Bioware if they added even more stuff for us without fixing Thane and ME2 romances in general first. We got an incredible romance, time for Bioware to give love to the other fandoms.

Completely agreed. Just played Kaidan's ME3-start romance, and I know what happened to Jacob, Thane, Miranda and Jack. Is there more to see for 'old' ME-Kaidan-romances, by the way? Even Tali (according to Youtube) seems to have significantly less additional content. The only option who has probably more romance interaction is Liara, and while I like her, she always gives me the feeling that Shepard has to provide comfort, ensure her, hug her etc. She just feels incredibly young to me. With Garrus, it is more a healthy relationship among equals.
But if the "added staff" for Garrus was a different ending, I'd certainly not be mad at Bioware
@Niostang: Should I apologize for influencing your headcanon?
Background is taken from Jacob's loyalty mission, 'tropicalized' with some plants from Huerta Hospital and Presidium Commons. I don't like the mission in ME2, but it's the same with Nightmare Child - they have their uses, and if only for playing around with GIMP.
Edit: Top. Doesn't matter, "too much Garrus" is a contradiction, anyway.
