I have a question. Can Garrus's family die? For example if you don't do his loyalty mission or something? I've seen people say his family died during their game but I never got that. I was wondering if it was possible.

You have?  I've never heard that they can die, but if they can and it depends on whether or not he is loyal, this'll probably be the worse place to ask since he's probably loyal in everyone's playthroughs. Kind of funny!  Though now I'm curious too...

I guess the only people who would know would be people who didn't import.

For what its worth, I don't remember anything in the leaked dialogue files about them dying. I do remember the 'lived' dialogue though.

Remember reading a while back on Reddit that part of the leaked script had Sidonis saving Garrus' family, but that should probably be taken with a grain (or six) of salt.

Wish You Were Here - 5/15/12My part of the trade I did with Katline Grey

She asked for her Shepard with Garrus and her two children, Dara and Veil at an amusement park.

Note: I did not draw the amusement park, it's a photo from here
I
was originally going to draw the background but work has been demanding
my attention a lot more lately. I think it is a wonderful substitute
however :3 hopefully it looks like it integrates well.

I didn't
notice it but I made everyone looking at Shep. Ugghuuu it warms my
heart. Hence the title "Wish You Were Here" I imagine that Dara is the
daddy's girl and Veil looks up to his human mother that brought the
galaxy together.

Shepard is a hopeless case in the dancing department. Not even Garrus can help.

And that's why we love her.

And she is good at other things.

@Sorael.A
I just looked over your piece for a second time and saw the handhold between G + Shep. It's a quiet but very sweet little detail. I'm glad I noticed it. Also: I really want a giant hanar plush now.

I want one too.  It can hang out with my wind rider cub and Cthulhu and miniature Tyrael.

Speaking of Tyrael, he also has a sexy voice.  Like Garrus.  Now I'm on topic

That would have been cool to see...i mean seriously, that would have been a good example of consequences carrying over from the previous game. Sure a little cliche in the "arch nemesis becomes family hero", but i wouldn't mind.

...been liking Lantars depiction in Spirit of Redemption, perhaps thats why i'm looking on him favourably.

Great picture. One of the aspects I like most about it is that all of them look so happy. Not crazy grinning or laughing or something like that, more like content, satisfied, finally able to let their guard down.
Just asked myself, though: If Veil goes to an amusement park, carrying what looks to me like a Black Widow - what is he going to do when another war breaks out? Using a gun that can shoot Thresher Maws? ;)

@Pyn: Saren in ME3 - I thought about that, after ME2 when I replayed BG II again. Throne of Bhaal and Sarevok... There's even a romance mod somewhere out there, for the former chief villain. Still, the whole magically-resurrected plot a) fits more into a fantasy setting and was B) already exploited for Shepard. There is already more than enough space magic in ME3.
Still, as said before, the idea itself would have had potential and interesting consequences.

for me & my shepard, it being Sovereign reapertech that revived her, Saren could have likely still been around me2/me3... Sovereign.
but I do wonder about those "interesting consequences"

and considering, my shep herself isn't much different from Saren himself on many levels...

It would be a interesting twist if Shepard becomes the new Saren of the next ME game considering how alike they actualy are.

Hahaha the tip is orange, indicating it's a fake haha and I'm glad you noticed that :D I do enjoy how happy other pictures depict Shepard and whomever she's with, but I like seeing her more relaxed than anything. A state of bliss if you will :D

@Argraharg I doubt Shepard would become the next Saren. While they similar, Shepard isn't trying to find greater purpose or a destiny for the galaxy. Saren was idealistic in the sense where he thought he was going to better life by believing the rapture-like promises of a superior race instead of finding one's own destiny. Shepard is the avatar of the self in a sense.

Well I would say that the Synthesis ending is the counterproof of that but Shepard feels so out of place and OOC in that scene that I can't consider it a canon ending...

They were both trying to save the galaxy, and in the process they were ready to sacrifice much. Saren didn't realy belive in Sovereigns promises of a new and better way for both organics and machine. If a renegade Shepard fell to indoctrination I think they would be much like Saren.

I'll just say, my Shep likely would have picked Synergy, if 'child' hadn't said that "TIM coild never have taken control, because we already controlled him." Harbinger error... which told me that much of what she's seeing is Harbinger's doing...

My Shep's very renegade, ME3 more-so... a lot more.

Back in the old script leak, Garrus's family can die if you killed off  the Quarians. But now, his family will survive no matter what.

Eh, i'm not really a fan of a shep/saren relationship...mainly because it is set up in ME1 that he absolutely hates humans, so why the hell would he find her attractive?

Just a logical paradox that i can't get my head around.

Dayum that is a badass looking Shep. I think she could be a villain as good as Saren was. Not that next villain have to be a renegade of course.

I like to think that all characters in a story like ME could be villains or heroes. A Shepard who listened a little too much to TIMmy or Saren could fall like they did. A Saren who listened to his reason a little more than to his pride could have been the saviour of the galaxy. I hope the writers considers this so that I can play as a turian hero or villain in the next ME game.

yep. unfortunately I just lost all my ME3 saves:pinched: (at least I have screenshot which contains her face code), and she was at near-end, hadn't picked choice because couldn't get past cutscene where Harbinger lands at supposed "conduit" beam, due to some Blue Screen of Death... so who knows what she would have picked... ending for her could be anything..
As she went along me2-me3, more and more seems to be following Saren's path. For the most part she would agree with Saren (can't say his voice helps any). Also, though she may be human herself, she hates humans - Cerberus in ME3 is one example of a possible "why"=]
currently writing her story (fanfic)...

so be it if I have to play ME3 from the very beginning again. more screenshot chances.
