Well I would say that the Synthesis ending is the counterproof of that but Shepard feels so out of place and OOC in that scene that I can't consider it a canon ending...
Don't know how the Synthesis / Control scenes look in detail, but I take your word for it
I always felt that the part between "run for the Citadel beam" and "death of Illusive Man" was bad (as in "not what I expected", "too gloomy", "disorienting", "strange", "not plausible" etc). But when Shepard hears Hackett's voice, stumbles, falls to the ground - and is then lifted up, literally, in a damned ray of light no less... Honestly, are there slight religious analogies, or am I just seeing ghosts? Besides the ghost child, I mean.
Her voice, the shaking, what she says to Ghost Boy as both Paragon and Renegade feels like (OOC)^10. Made it hard for me to take anything after that seriously. Except for the first time, of course, wasn't really able to think back then.
When picking destroy though, both her posture, facial expression, body language or whatever change again back to what I'd had expected from "my" Shepards. Not much of a comfort, but still something.
@Saren/Shepard relationships: Didn't mean a romantic relationship between both characters. What I thought about was more like the original Sarevok/Bhaalspawn story in Throne of Bhaal: Ex-villain comes back, sees his best chances in following and helping his former foe, and can be ultimately influenced by the Bhaalspawn through dialogue choices. Examples of discussion are the question of trust, second chances, motivations, etc. Finally, if the "paragon" path is taken, Sarevok regrets his deeds and asks to stay at the main character's side as a friend, while the "renegade" path offers the possibility of Sarevok being sort of a subordinate to the Bhaalspawn in what will become a giant storm of violence and death through the realm.
Switch "Sarevok" with "Saren", "Bhaalspawn" with "Shepard", throw some Reapers into the mix and I think the outcome could be interesting.
Edit: @Pyn: I like that screenshot moment. Losing save games is unpleasant, but I'd say that the face code is more important. I've grown very accustomed to my FemShep(s), so replaying 30 hours or "losing" her would be an easy choice for me.
But about "shep doesn't say that turian-human/biology wouldn't work..."...
I can only speak for my three Garrus-romancing Shepards, but neither of them thinks there are hybrid children in their future. Asari-style human babies perhaps, I have actually started to like that idea. But the ethical, moral, practial and XYZ-al problems for true "Hurians" (or whatever they'd be called) would be too much for me or them.

I also did a proper Paragon playthough, and having done that has made me realise just how Paragade my last character was, eesh. But she was Earthborn sole survivor, so that made sense for her, I guess.
Trying to build up to playing ME3 again, but I just can't do it

So far I've been able to play ME3 twice. But I was only able to complete my second playthrough because I wanted to save Lexane so bad. She lived. Which made me slightly happy.Mara Shep wrote...
So I've played through ME1 and ME2 again, and I tried not romancing Garrus, I swear I TRIED. I even called it off once, felt immediately terrible, and reloaded. I guess once you go Turian, you can't go back!

As for not being able to stay away from Garrus... I'm playing my Shenko game right now and... and... he died.
Damn you, you stupid idealistic naive Jane Shepard who didn't complete his loyalty mission.
And damn me for sticking to RP no matter what.

Awww.... It's not a hug... but...

My friend who gives me screenshots won't give a shot of Meghan's dipkiss till I've gotten her there.
But here's a Horizon Shenko Hug... with Garrus in the background.

And i'm currently trying to figure out if it's time for Meghan to proposition Garrus. LOL

I really want to play ME3, I do, as it absolutely brrilliant leading up to that ending. I want to play it for the missions, my squad, the talks...but I just can't. Not knowing that no matter what I do nothing changes.
However, I do have a new appreciation for the Sedonis mission - the emotion in Garrus' voice when you are talking to him in the taxis before he goes...WOW. just WOW. His voice cracks in some parts and it is just intense.

Yep, he died. I'm roleplaying a super paragon Shep and I view her as a very idealistic woman (to say the least), so she didn't want to help her friend get his revenge. Because you know, revenge is bad. Served her right during the suicide mission. Damn you Jane.
Needless to say I'm not very excited to import that game.
@Mara: Yep, I understand that. It's been hard to get past Thessia. Actually the last three hours of my second playthrough sucked, plain and simple. The bright side of the ending this time was the look on Shep's face during the destroy ending (she looks furious and determined, very in-character), seeing Garrus's face instead of Liara's (yay for mods!), and I guess the breathing scene right before the credits. Mind you, it still sucked.

Playing back just before Thessia, wonder if it will make a difference to get through cutscene without blue screen...

Wow, this is incredible! It must have taken a lot of time, indeed! Is there something similar for ME2, including Garrus' taunts during battle? If there isn't, then there definitely should be!
P.S. There is, actually:

There are a few gems I don't recognize from the game. When does he talk about Cerberus raising taxes, favorite hangout, "this one feels like a flower", "not 'till we have kids, anyway" and "even after our little performance"? I hope they aren't cut, because they're awesome!
I'm not sure about the first two. I'd have to check the soundboard. But...
"this one feels like a flower" - At the start of the date, take the renegade dialogue option and instead of suggesting the bar, you suggest going to a hanar poetry reading. He mocks them.
"not 'till we have kids, anyway" - When you break up with him during the date. He says, "We were always something of an odd pair, weren't we?" To which Shepard responds, "There was never anything odd about us." Then Garrus says this line.
"even after our little performance" - Renegade dialog option in final romance scene when he asks "What's bothering you?" Shepard says something like, "Just feeling a little weird." And then Garrus asks this.

For the second, one would probably need to not talk to Garrus for some missions I'm guessing
But I'd like to get screenshots to have them available so maybe I could play with them and others in GIMP...Karrie788 wrote...
Aww the thread has been pushed back on the second page twice in less than 24 hours! What's going on?

I guess even Harbinger himself doesn't like the endings
