I wonder why they cut all the good dialogue if they even recorded it? What's the point od doing something like that? Surely a few second of more animating can't be too time consuming.

Picture is linked about three pages before, had to look it up myself. Only explanation for me is that the, um, other picture ("Lady Gar-Gar"? Seriously?!) did something awful to my short-term memory
Great picture, Sorael.A. Though I am not quite sure if I have to pity Garrus now - with such an enthusiasticly loving family, his live may have been more relaxing back on Menae
And the Garrus dialogue... Don't know, honestly. I think some of them may actually even be in the game, though somewhere "hidden". I used to miss the "Just like Cerberus, to bring a knife to a gunfight" quote in-game, until I replayed the Cerberus headquarters for the third time. Only reliable way for me to get that quote is to make sure Garrus kills the very first phantom that appears, so I could imagine that there are some quotes which I don't know, but have simply missed until now.

To be fair, I didn't really think about Garrus and Shepard's literal, physical coupling until I wandered around here for many, many pages. I cringed a little the first few times Shepard kissed Garrus in-game, and I actually really liked the way they handled their romantic night-before ****-hits-the-fan in the final game.
I still cringe at them lol. Don't have a problem with racy fan art or fiction, but the moment Garrus says a corny line, I'm hiding behind my blanket =P

Just replace Harkin with that unfortunate turian.

Garrus is so awesome that he can change his armor in mere seconds.
I could definitely imagine Garrus to get jealous and call off the guy who would try to make a move on Shepard. In a totally cool way.

Ha, hadn't even noticed that! Just when you think you've seen it all!
In all seriousness, I don't think Garrus would actually go after the guy in any way; whether it's to talk to him or something else. He's so insecure when it comes to his relationship with Shepard and he's definitely not possessive. In fact, he gives up on her too easy whenever she says that things won't be working out.
Seeing her with someone else will probably make him think that he was foolish to believe that there was something serious going on between the two of them. Not until Shepard becomes officially a one turian kind of woman, anyway. Then he'll take the matter to her.

That's a tough question! One one hand he's a suave bastard (have you seen the messages he sends on the app?! lol) and on the other hand he's awkward and insecure, specially when you dump him like said above. I feel like once Shepard's committed to him he'd ask about it, maybe make a weak joke beforehand. Before that he probably wouldn't say anything, seeing as he never comments if Shepard's involved with someone else (though I guess none of them do. Perhaps they're all oblivious to Shepard's romantic habits?)

Interesting that Garrus can (rightfully!) be seen as both jelous and not jelous, secure and insecure. Not at the same time, of course, but in different playthroughs / interpretations. Good character design.
Always thought the main factors in Garrus' and Shepard's relationship are trust and respect, both on a level that borders on absolute. So I can't see Shepard actively flirting with another guy without a certain purpose - and "making Garrus angry" doesn't count in this context. Similarly, I can't see Garrus doubt Shepard in a situation like that. I'd think he would wait until Shepard kicks the turian herself, or until he's able to ask Shepard what she wants to achieve with the show and if he can help complete that objective in any way.
Yeah, Garrus "gives up" on Shepard without a fight, but only if it is Shepard who ends the relationship. Respect for her decision, even if it breaks his heart. May be a naive point of view, but everything about their relationship seems honest, open. It's not (only) physical attraction between them, but a full friendship, so I don't think they'd betray each other like that.
Still, I'd agree that the other options would probably make for more exciting and interesting fanfiction.
And about the way ME3 handles multiple romances... I'd headcanon that Shepard speaks to them "off-screen", similar to the regular "not lock-in" conversation options that end the relationship on-screen. That way I've got no contradictions to my personal trust / respect headcanon-interpretation.

Well said - I agree. I think this is why Shepard and Garrus' relationship is one of my favorites in the game. No drama, no going behind one another's back, no secrets, lies or disputes. Their love is mainly born out of their unshakeable trust in each other. And considering the time during which it blossoms, both of them know better than to pour any kind of negative energy into it. And I honestly don't see either even thinking about cheating - while other LIs may have given a reason to in one way or another, there's literally no Shepard without Vakarian in any of the three games. Both have each other's back at all times. After all, they were friends first.Seleya_LL wrote...

I don't know, maybe they forgot it, I can imagine it would be easy to do when the project is so ambitious. I think they start off by laying down the linework for the game, record the voices, then apply it to the animations.

I meant to show you guys this before the final product (the amusement fair picture) but I never got to it then. Anyways, I imagine that at some point, his daughter realized that his crest looks like a flower and that gave Shepard the idea of doing something 'fun'. ie. Face paint and photobooth templates
I'm pretty sure no one saw it because it was outdone by badass garrus/clint XDDD

While not my own, and downright AU-

Not outstanding, but the notion of two (or so.....) Turians competing for Shepard is an amusing one. Sorry if that spoils it. I've read one where Shepard actively seeks to make Garrus jealous, but I wasn't very fond of it.
I agree that he'd probably be cool and collected about it, like the sniper we've come to know and love.

Out of all the fanfictions I've read, I really like the way turian sexual behavior is described in Worst Case Scenario, where they are very attentitive to their partner's needs. It's just great juxtaposition with Saren, who is fairly self serving in every other regard.
I loved that story! And not just in the most obvious way, either. Really well-done IMO.

That picture is so damn adorable. Makes me really want to see Garrus blush in the game.
And speaking of that, how do you think that turian blush? I doubt they can actually blush but would their mandibles like flutter or something.

I come back to the Garrus thread after an epic week of Diablo-age (which will still be cutting into my Mass Effect time) and find this. YUMMY.

In game, I think their mandibles sort of flap whenever turians are anxious or jittery. It might be something like that for blushing. Garrus also does an adorable double eyebrow raise thing from time to time. Funny how such an alien face can be so expressive.
Janus Prospero wrote...
I don't mind the biting thing, it doesn't necessarily have to be about dominance or anything other than it feels good.
I'm of two minds on the biting thing. I don't mind Shep and Garrus getting a little rough, though really violent, aggressive sexytimes don't strike me as the kind of thing Garrus would do, unless Shep asked him to. Since everyone's Shep is different, I suppose that's the author's prerogative. My only pet peeve is when Garrus' rougher side is always attributed to species rather than personality or preference. Sexual behavior varies widely among humans, even within the same person's experience, and I imagine other sentients in the ME universe are just as varied.
EDIT: Have a ToP after my wall of text:
