Um, is this a joke I don't quite get or just a demonstration that texture mapping on complex models can be difficult?

Anyway, I'd agree with your last statement ;)

Edit: ToP and graphic comparison...

-snip-

no idea, his textures was fine before then when I loaded save up again they were off, fixed some of it (rest of problem see screenshots)... interesting shep in that save's textures are fine, yet another save with just shep her face textures messed up, seeing if I can fix or not... of course she was fine at one point also...

I haven't touched any mapping... haven't changed it, had no need to...

:? guess I'll just work with the other for now, which has Garrus texture problem....

Edit: ... is messed up there too now, but thing is a few hours ago shep's face texture was fine/right...
dunno what might be doing what/this...

Theres something in those modified Garrus pics that reminds me, eerily, of Metal Gear Solid of all things...

Sorry, don't know a thing about 3ds Max or the way it handles meshes or textures, just some of the general problems you come across when playing around with models. I wish you luck in figuring it out, though - aside from a full-scale editor like offered by the Elder Scrolls series, this is the best way I can think of to create new "real" pictures of one's own Shepard. Unless one is or is good friends with an artist, of course.

Next on the list of editor-related wishes, aside from a fix for the ending: Points of interaction, similar to the "invite XYZ up" in ME2. And a new texture for Shepard's N7 dress - somehow the original thing reminds me of cheap plastic.

If there's anything I know even less than nothing about it's a Mac.
But if you need a screenshot or ten before the [self-censored] that is also known as London / Earth and beyond, have the face code (and any additional data regarding eye color or whatever) at hand and a vague idea what you wish to see on the screenshots, I can probably help you out.

Looks like the Play Arts Kai figures are up on the Bioware store with an asking price of $65 and a release date of December 2012. I'm trying to checkout with it, but the store seems to be having technical issues.
Garrus Vakarian (BioWare Store)

ETA: Also on Things from Another World for $52 and a release date of November 28, 2012. And the website works.

I always wondered how many people actually think their Shepard's would take the;

"Dude, do you even have anything downstairs?" route.

Every time I see that pop up in a fic/comic/drawing I can't help but snicker. It just seems so awkward.

That comic is so fantastic, it is turning into a "safe" version of the NSFW Garrus porn comic a lot of us love :P well, we will see how far she takes it (it is a she right? Or a he?) with the sexoring tho ;)

There are some things I am comfortable headcanoning / imagining for my Shepards. Examples are favourite colours, does she like to take a break in Apollo's Cafe, is she a Varren person, was she drunk when asking Garrus about a tiebreaker etc.
But I think I'll leave these more... private questions to Garrus and Shepard :D

Well I can understand that. I myself am of the not-shy part of the fandom though. Hehehe.

...but no, my Shepard wouldn't ask Garrus something like that during foreplay. Jeez what a moodkiller.

Garrus isn't the only one who can do research after all ;)

In my headcanon Lexie did quite a bit of research. I assume she also blushed quite a lot.

Vee is a hardass. Soldiers don't blush!

(Then she turns bright red due to that message Garrus canonically sends on the MP app.)

Yeah but really. Research is a good thing. Less awkward during special moment!

I never said she blushed out of shyness or embarassment. :3

(Looove that app.)

'Is it getting hot in here'-blushing isn't a route most people seem to take, so pardon my misunderstanding. Personally I prefer that kind of blush on Shepard anyway. :D

(I don't have a phone for that app so I can only see the messages others have gotten. Sigh.)

That's ok. In all honesty I think in her case, it would be a mix of both.
On the battleground she's as hardass as one can get. Relationships though... my other Sheps aren't as lousy at flirting as she is.

Well, as an N7, Shepard's probably had more than a few anatomy lessons. Hit a turian here to knock them out, hit a turian there to ****** them off.

Seems to me that question would already be answered. Since on a human male it's an near-instant incapacitator.

I don't see why that would still be a mystery.

"How do you incapacitate a turian man in hand-to-hand combat, recruits?"

"Punch his lights out, sir?"

"You will find that turian faces are quite capable of withstanding punishment."

"Kick him in the balls, sir?"

"Utterly ineffective. You see unlike us squishy and dangly humans, turians have evolved to not leave anything hanging. If you know what I mean."

In my headcanon, my Shep did her homework on the matter. For canon, Joker's been giving Garrus vids (wait, does that stretch into ME2? This one is curious) so I'm certain he came across the *ahem* dangly bits somewhere and was prepared for that =P.

I dunno about you, but I sort of had a 'oh noooooo' moment when I heard that Joker was the one, ah, handing out educational material to Garrus.

Not because that's embarrassing. Or because I feel sorry for Joker having landed himself such an awkward job, considering he knows exactly who Garrus is dating.
But because I worry he might pass along some vid that really really isn't something that human women normally enjoy or etc, just for pure trolling purposes.

Joker, if you haven't yet broken every bone in your body, you will if you ever decide to prank Shepard like that. And all at the same time.

But he seems like he's been a decent guy about it so far. Not that I really get why Garrus would ask him in specific

Sounds plausible. I can't see my Shepards enter an unknown 'battlefield' without at least some research.
Especially with those biological obstacles.

By the way, if the nick on ff.net is not just a big coincidence: I really liked your description in 'Paradise'. Would have liked to have an epilogue like that in the original saga :)

Edit: About Joker... I see him as a surprisingly deep and caring person, at least in certain situations. Only that he'd never admit it, he'd rather crack jokes until everybody else surrendered. So, him disturbing a romantic moment on the SR-1 on purpose? Yes, of course. But him trolling Garrus on purpose, when he sees that the turian is completely unsure? I can't really see that, not with his behavior in ME3. He's still feeling survivor's guilt, so I'd rather say helping Garrus (as in really helping, not trolling) would be one possible way to compensate a little. He can't undo what's done, but he can help Shepard to find a little bit of peace, though indirectly.

Fun fact: Did you know turians had testicles? Talk to wrex in ME1 and he'll tell you
