I completely agree. My first playthrough, all that time waiting in anticipation, avoiding spoilers, getting completely pumped up for the amazing ending that just didn't happen was such a kick in the teeth. I am also cautious/nervous and excited for the EC. I kind of feel bad for the devs, though, having to deal with this whole fiasco. finally silly game actually let me play my save for some time...


those lights haven't shown through before, so something is up maybe with the game/origin and/or with Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac (Virtual Machine). Won't know about the getting blue screen until I get further in this playthrough...

not much to say, will see what happens when EC...

Agreed as well. I see the EC as a way of finally letting go, or definitely relying on headcanon.

And so do they. They wouldn't release the EC for free if they didn't.

There's still a small part of me that completely trust them. I don't think they're stupid enough to screw this up, they know why the fans are pissed. If they are, well, I'll move on.

One possible trauma-therapy-fanfiction for the I-want-rainbows faction around, if the EC turns out to be bad:

A Family Occasion: FShep / Garrus, classic marriage preparations on Palaven post Reaper war, grumpy relatives here and there and a huge amount of teeth-destroying sugary happy feelings. Recently finished, small M-rated parts, but these are easily avoidable.

And another fiction, still in progress, also centered around a marriage between FShep and Garrus:

Enemy territory: AU setting. Nothing M-rated right now, with the possible exception of some explosions. AU typical twists to known characters, including at least one who didn't live through the regular saga.

I think the big issue will be that they are forcing themselves to work in the confines of the existing endings, which for some people is an automatic deal breaker. A few months ago I would have considered myself part of that group, but the Unofficial Mass Effect 3 Epilogue Slides were pretty good, so I don't know.


In the meantime I've been distracting myself by reading Sense and Flexibility, which is incredible, but DAT CLIFFHANGER!

I feel the same. Those slides were part of the reasons why I still think the EC can be decent. though. Will it be great? I highly doubt it. With the endings we have now, I don't think we can get a great conclusion to the ME series. But at least it could be a conclusion that doesn't leave us numb during the credits.

As much as i love the Turian form, anyone else think that they theoretically shouldn't be able to stand and walk with their feet contacting the ground so far in front of their bodies, and so much body mass behind?

Its always put me off, as in "how do you do that!" sorta thing.

Yeah, the author seems to have way too much fun with teasing her readers Certainly not the only cliffhanger in the story, and I doubt it'll be the last.

About the EC again: Somehow I still believe / hope that it really can be decent, more than just 'not wanting to cry / argue / break something during epilogue'. But I suppose it's a case of mood swings... Soon we'll know, and if the ending gets even worse - well, I suppose there's always the possibility of modding.

Hi guys! I keep disappearing from the forums and probably will have to soon again. I won’t be playing the EC till September cos I’m currently in another country and away from my xbox >_<  I want to experience it without spoilers so...this is going to be torture LOL Can I ask one of you to PM me and tell me without giving anything away whether or not there is a satisfying garrus/femshep moment? Or if the EC made things better? I think that will help me hang in there in the next few months. Also did you see the garrus plushie in the works?

I was wondering if anyone knew what happens if you turn Garrus down in the final romance scene. I know with Kaidan you get a nice cuddle scene. Does Garrus just take off?

Also thought I'd drop this off.  The author does mostly Kaidan stuff but when Garrus does happen to make an appearance it's always hilarious.

Yes. But he gives Shep an adoring look before leaving. It was perfect, at least for me. I never turn him down anyway.
