Garrus, I love that magnificent b*stard, my femshep's one true bromance, always felt safe and secure in the knowledge that he always had my back, there is no Shepard without Vakarian. He's family to my femshep, like a caring protective brother, a true friend and a loyal tough SOB. Love him:D

I do, but only because I got most of the way through on my first run, though "This is Bioware, where the hell is the romance option?" looked it up, and saw there was one male - Kaidan. This is also the only save where Kaidan made it through Virmire.

(I don't hate Kaidan, I actually like him a lot, but Ash is like a little sister to my Shepard, so I always save her)

Yep, he says that if you "save" Dr. Celyon. There's that line, and Ashley's priceless line about kissing turians. Oh ye delicious foreshadowing.

Ooh, and then there's that moment where if you didn't make him choose a certain morality, he'll say he wants to say something, but then waves it off, and it totally comes off as if he has a crush on Shepard. Goshdarnit cute Garrus is cute.

When Garrus and Tali hooked up before you hit earth man I was speechless, that really caught me off guard but I was so happy for them, it made sense and it was sweet. I thought Kaidan's romance arch was very satisfying from what I've seen on youtube myself but I agree with you that  Ashley's arch was mediocre in comparison to the original Normandy crew. Even the final goodbyes at the beam, I loved Garrus', Tali's, Liara's and Kaidan's all so heartfelt and tragic but if I was an Ashley fan I would have been pissed with the bit they gave her, it just felt meh:?

Also in regards to romancing Liara I'm biased lol I can't answer that question in this thread, may have to duck for incoming tomatoes:P

Is it weird that I was gonna try another romance (Thane or a ManShep romance), but gave up when I heard Tali/Garrus happens. I CANNOT play through that.
I'd have to kill off Garrus or Tali.

For my ME1 paramour I feel I'm one of the few people who went with Liara instead of Kaidan XD I was like "eh, the chick's less bad" on my first playthrough (was single for the second >>). It's funny when I read fanfics cause most Sheps in them seem to have dated Kaidan in ME1, but I could never have.

Nobody forces you to check on Garrus and Tali before Earth Or you can try out Tali's romance, naturally the Garrus / Tali thing doesn't happen there, either.

Kaidan in ME - I didn't hate him, but I didn't "o-my-god-he-is-so-perfect"-like him, either. His romance was okay, from my point of view (again, ME), what upset me more was his "ninjamance" with FSheps who didn't want to romance him. I liked his ME3 romance, too, but only in a different playthrough. Somehow I am unable to play through Horizon with a romanced Kaidan and *not* trash his picture afterwards.
Liara and FShep was never one I'd have considered, since she's already taken by one of my MSheps. May sound stupid, but that was the reason why it didn't feel 'right' to me.

Oh I know, but I'd still know it happens in the story, I know myself, and if I'm not careful I'd be tempted to go OCD and see every scene again like I do with these games.
With manShep I wouldn't put Tali romance in my first options, I liked her better in ME1 (and I prefer to ship Tali with Reegar or a femShep), but I'd want to check out Jack's, cause I love her. However I doubt I'll ever play a second playthough of ME3. I think I'll go back to ME1 just cause I love that one, but everytime I do I replay the same Shep. I just got too used to her voice with that face with those lines, and always "want to watch her again" (*-*). It feels weird to play as a different Shep for me XD

I kinda ship Kaidan with Sheploo heheh. But I go from "he's ok, kinda cool" (in ME3 specially) to "omgbbqwtf are you saying, shut up already" because his dialogue can annoy me so much. Depends on the situation. But I could never romance him (and right now I opened a Shep/Garrus fic... and there it is, another Shep who romanced Kaidan XD).
I still remember when I was a member of the old Playfire gaming site (before it got a remake) and first played ME... wrote a journal entry about my reactions which were kinda: "Come on, THIS is the guy I'm supposed to date? So there isn't anyone else? I'll take the blue girl then, but even Garrus would be better. Even Wrex would be better." (it was before I was fully a Garrus fangirl... I had a crush on him lol but I wasn't even aware there'd be a second game, so... like Garrus put it, "never considered" it before)
But my Shep only didn't kill Kaidan cause she felt bad for rejecting him bwaha.

I got the Paramour achievement in ME1 with Jane and Kaidan... then realized in ME3 she and Liara were a much cuter couple. After "cheating" on Kaidan with Thane. Poor Kaidan, I don't think I'll ever stay faithful to him or finish his romance. Worst thing is I like that guy.

As for Garrus, my second Shep had no "canon" love interest back when I first played her, and I really wanted to try out the Garrus romance. Plus, they were a pretty awesome match.

And I know what you mean about Garrus and Tali. I mean, I REALLY find adorable the idea of them getting together, but I can't bring myself to see it. I either have to kill one off or romance one. Something's wrong with me, I think.

For me to have chosen Liara in the first, I'd have to headcanon that Shep cared for her but wasn't in love, so the relationship was ending before ME2 and she didn't "cheat". But the "Garrus is doing a lot more than calibrating the ship's gun" line from Liara in Shadowbroker was kinda worth it, lols.
However since in my other playthroughs she was single I tend to prefer that for the official version.

And well, in my head through all the games Tali gets irritated with Garrus a lot so they were never close, and Tali has a slight crush on Shep. It also felt obvious to put the fan favorite dextro team together for me. And they killed off my ReegarxTali hopes! So yeah I have my personal and subjective reasons for disliking it
Of course like I was saying in this thread before, I also headcanon the majority of ME3 lol, I just don't like that game much. Like how I kinda like EDI/Joker and the whole thing with EDI but also kinda really don't. If I could I'd change it completely. Oh well... TO FANFICTION /o/

I play sentinel, the loneliest, least played class. Which is why I was ecstatic when I found out that that was one of the turian classes in MP. Though I know a lot of people want infiltrator...

I love turian sentinels! They're fun to play, I just got mine an upgrade for his Widow hehe. I do wonder why they didn't put in an infiltrator right off the bat, seeing as Garrus is one, but perhaps we'll see it in the future. They just announced that they'll be demoing the next MP DLC at Comicon on Saturday so maybe then =)

Yeah I never really got that feeling from both of them either; teasing, sure, but not romantic interest. I never made the connection that their conversation on the Citadel in ME2 was flirting, so when Garrus was all but purring when speaking to Tali in the next game, I was so caught off-guard. That was my "loyal to Kaidan because I was too chicken to proposition Garrus" playthrough too, so him and Tali hooked up, and all my headcanons about their secret love for Shepard exploded =(

I sort of wonder about him recognizing my Shep on the bridge. Heavy helmet, vanguard charge all over. It must have been when he saw her smacking mercs with the butt end of a shotgun. "....Yeah, that's Shepard."

Sentinal is my second class choice, but my first and favorite is Engineer, esp one with a sniper rifle.

It's like:
"OK Garrus, I'm droppin the turret and drone to keep them distracted... most kills gets a back scratch. Kaidan/Liara, just worry about taking shields down, we'll do the rest.
Ready? Set? ... BAM shick BAM ... GO!"
"Shepard, you cheating little b!^ch..."

Kaidan --> Thane --> Liara? Was Jane your Paragon Shepard without Garrus in ME3? Just asking, as I don't quite get that list in terms of romance, and I didn't really get that decision either, so it'd fit

About character classes: My canon Shepard is an adept, out of habit, but I actually enjoy all classes with the possible exception of pure soldiers. I like infiltrators, but couldn't hit a wall in front of me, so while I can solo Bronze MP with a bit of luck at the objectives, the after-mission screens are always embarrassing. One big advantage of vanguards

Edit: Huh. Bioware released the EC music for download. Hadn't expected it, but I'd say it's a nice gesture.

Yep, that's her. She was a soldier and my very first Shepard because I wanted to try an easy class as a start. She was interesting to play. Loooots of issues despite her ultra paragon tendencies. I hate perfect characters so I tend to give them huge flaws. She died in the end.
I like my canon Shep a lot better though. Bad temper, but she's relatively sane.

Ooh nice! I'm going to listen to the control ending track all the time.
