This probably is not why you posted, but I mentioned the gif from the Citadel date cause you can see Garrus perking his mouth to kiss, like a human.. some flexibility there! XD I think it was the Citadel date one cause it had more lighting...
It was somewhere on Tumblr.. I saw it a bit after ME3 came out

I saw a Tali and a femShep new action figures on the Play Arts Kai line... man I really wish they made femShep based on the cover art of ME3 and not the in-game model I already preordered Garrus and I want Tali but now I don't know about femShep... need to see more pictures since it was just the prototype, but I might have to stick to the Bishoujo line (just wish she was poseable ;_; )

Oooh hey Suspire which website did you pre-order Garrus from? I found a couple but I'm not sure if one is more legit than the other. I want a FemShep to keep him company, but I dunno...I also wish she was based on the cover art. The image we voted on is so pretty and bonus: she looks a whole lot like my canon FemShep. I was so excited at first but then came her big in-game reveal...

The Tali figure looks great, though! I also admit, as much as I hate the idea of making FemShep into a kawaii uguu busty bishoujo, I am tempted. She's frackin' adorable.

I was a little iffy about getting the Garrus fig (I'm more of a soft and cuddly kind of person), but now there's no way I can't get all three, because that Tali figure is gorgeous. Steam and the Bioware Store are really doing a number on my wallet

I'm pretty sure if you bring Javik with you and Garrus you'll get that scene. Javik, Liara and Garrus are great picks for that mission, James doesn't add much to the dialogue compared to the others at Sur'Kesh IMO.

At AmiAmi, a very good japanese site with good prices (I use SAL reg for shipping) In Japan these will be out around late August. Though I recommend only preordering there if you're sure you won't cancel. Are you on the myfigurecollection site by any chance?

Still love the horribly painted Garrus by... I forget the company, but the american ones. (I bought a Mordin last week ouo )


And I felt the same way! lol x_x not that any human faces in the play arts kai line are very good to begin with. If I had any experience at customizing dolls, I'd buy it and try to redo her face.

And except that I do like the Bishoujo line, japanese stuff and fanservice...
Sometimes I complain about how Shunya gives all his women the same Disney-ish princess faces, and for example, the Rogue in this line is so not the same Rogue I love (a cheesy badass hot chick with 90's hair). So I understand people not liking it. But I do enjoy his art a lot and the deviation from canon. Then again I like (and draw) hot babes pinups...XD

My only problems so far with the Bishoujo femShep is her heels have different sizes, and her hand is in a pose that I don't get, like she's trying to stop a bullet... if they put some blue/purple glow to indicate she's using biotics it'd make sense.

But we do need more serious canonical femSheps. I adore the cover art and I'd love to see it in 3D... though I understand some people think even that one is too girly/pretty.

Tali looks fine to me, but I think in that line the female bodies look a bit too small for their heads, or it's just the stylized body features that come off like that (see Ash). Their faces are stylized too, but still serious.

IMO Bioware needs to release more of the ugly american action figures even if they're ugly, they're cheap and fairly realistic (for ugly humans lol), so it'd help to satisfy us... needs Zaeed and Jack so bad! (and Wrex)

Thank you, thank you. Now the hard part comes in convincing the husband. Looks like I'll be perfecting the puppy dog eyes in the days to come. But nah, I'm not a member. I usually never buy merch. Money these days is tight with a family of three plus too many pets. 

My only thing is that you typically don't think 'FemShep' and 'bishoujo' in the same line of thought. The Liara one also kind of put me off...dat forehead. But I agree, the ugly ones have a certain charm to them, don't they? Not that the human play arts figures are much better
I'm thinking I will probably end up buying the FemShep though because she's poseable. That way I can do inappropriate things put them in mushy poses. :innocent:

Edit: I found a better angle of the FemShep figure's face (click to embiggen) Not perfect but not horrendous like I was expecting.

Good luck! If you decide to order from the Bioware Store you could say it's a holiday gift, cause it'll be out by december Or just ask for an early holiday gift heheh

Yeah I think that's the same general feeling with most of the bishoujo line.
And I confess I usually don't like when fanartists turn cartoon characters and realistic characters into generic androgynous bishounen, I keep having to remind myself that it's all in good fun and it's just a tv show/game/etc.

And I guess since Mass Effect still has very little merchandise compared to those other Bishoujo characters, the fans worry about what kind of merch they'll be able to get, that's understandable.
The bishoujo line is for a different audience than the hardcore Mass Effect fans (for the japanese and otaku fans etc.. who are big buyers of figures... I guess I'm one). Logically BW should make cool things for the more hardcore fans as well, who're into realism and the style of the games... which I think they're trying to do.

For the Liara bishoujo, if she had more of an innocent face, more wide eyed, more like herself.. then I'd consider buying (maybe more like Powergirl's face..). Looked much better in the illustration too.

Hm it's hard to dislike cheap things >.>

And bahh I'm so gonna be tempted to buy her and customize her. Thanks for the pic.
I do wish I could buy all of them just for their guns XD But no such money.

I've heard that quote as well, and I usually take Garrus and EDI for the first missions. Not absolutely sure, though, since I took Javik once as well.

Those action figures... Pity that I don't use the ME3 canon FShep, otherwise I'd know what to add to my wish list for Christmas.

For that particular mission I've taken all of them but I prefer EDI as the second squadmate with Garrus. She has a great line to the ****y Salarian and Garrus just has more lines all together. He even comments on Eve when you first meet her down in the Salarian bunker. Everyone else other than EDI overrides him.
