Hey Sideshow Collectibles is making a Thane premium format statue... think they'll make a Garrus?
I have to admit that while I'd love to see it and bet it'd be amazing, I'm hoping "no" because those things cost so much omg (around $350 I think) I'd never be able to get one ;_;

True. That said, there aren't many looks he gives during the game which I don't like (never seen the breakups or deaths), I just can't stand the final goodbye for obvious "tragedy hurts my stomach" reasons.

Still, I'd have liked to see some more romance-only situations, maybe post-Collector ME2 style. While I am fine with the present romance scene for Garrus, I recently watched all other romance scenes 'live' (as in 'borrowed some savegames'). Okay, Kaidan's and Ash's scene's are somewhat funny clothing-wise, and I was, though warned, a bit bothered by Liara's.

But some more seconds for Garrus / FemShep, Kaidan/Ash-style or as in-between "Call Garrus up" opportunity? I wouldn't have said 'no'.

You know, it would have been nice to get at least *that* for the romance scene. Then again I'm not complaining about said scene, the dialogue was perfect.

Seriously...how DO they sleep with their fringe and those leg spur thingies? (That snuggle extra in ME2 was not canon, dammit. They recycled animations for errbody. And did you see the clipping?) All I can think of is Garrus snoozing on his tummy~!

Nothing is wrong with Liara's romance scene, I just used the flycam and got way more small blue scales onto my monitor than I had expected. Or liked. I mean, she's definitely not running around in black underwear.

You are right, of course, with the dialogue we get, complaining is hard, and if I compare Garrus' romance to... um... other so-called romances, then I am just going to shut up since any hint of a complain would be utterly ridiculous.

Clipping really is a problem for many Garrus-related scenes... But perhaps the bed is very flexible?
Besides, it makes for some nice requisition orders. "Hello Illusive Man, I'd like to have ten more mattresses. Yes, the last ones are already broken. No, you don't want to know why, unless you dislike low blood pressure."

I think atleast garrus's leg spurs are flexible, he probably has to sit against the headboard and let shep be on top. Not that he'd be complaining

Thanks for confirming. Thought as much due to general appearance and simple logic (why create two very, very similar meshes, when a texture change is enough), but wasn't sure myself.

That's still more than what everyone else gets which was my point. The extra little work like that is what irks me. Liara is cute, sure, but I don't see what's so 'put me on a pedestal' level with her and Bioware. I don't even think she's the most popular LI among fans. bleeeehh

Awh, that's actually really adorable! I'm always conflicted about naming kids or pets after game characters/movie characters/celebrities, especially if I kinda get uh, obsessed with a certain one. The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name Garrus is sexy, and that's just... not something I want to associate with my kid/dog/cat/pet rock 


Also, about Tali! I've made it pretty obvious here that I do not like the Talibrations ship, but something really weird's happened, and I've actually started shipping it. I first noticed it when I went to do the ending again for my Liara romance playthrough, and the first time I avoided the main battery because I didn't want to see them making out, but this time around I actually found it really comforting that my Shepard's two best friends found comfort in each other instead of being alone. Though their flirty dialogue when one is romanced still makes me angry; I mean, if the romanced one is flirty then that's okay, I think Shepard would be secure enough in her relationship to not care. But the non-romanced one flirting back? That's just weird, I feel like they'd be more respectful towards Shepard and, you know, not hit on his/her significant other. Perhaps if it came off as teasing it would bug me less.


By the way, I loved reading through everyone's headcanons about kids, it's always fun hearing about how different Shepards did things. Kudos to Bioware for making a generic protagonist with personality, that people actually care about. I doubt it's an easy feat to manage.

I tend to change my mind about the Garrus/Tali thing now and then, from "nice that they find comfort in each other" to "get the hell away from my turian" to "uh, they are like siblings, why the hell are they now shown as a pair" and back. On my (for now) only non-dextro-romancing playthrough, I just avoided the battery, so I could, dependend on my mood, think the first or third thing on my list without getting really upset about the second or the "shown as pair" part of the last.

For dextro-romancing playthroughs, I see their banter as pure teasing, irony or whatever.

If we're talking about the geth ship then I write that all off as banter considering it doesn't change if you're in a relationship with either of them.  There's actually romance specific dialogue between garrus and femshep if you bring him along so I just the brush off the tali interaction as teasing. I count the ACTUAL flirting as the stuff you DON'T hear if you are in a relationship with either of them and to be fair it's tali that starts it  

Still not a fan of talibrations , would have preferred kal with tali and a female turian for garrus.

I mean after that little gem of "Watch yourself Shepard" about the chocolate, I definitely can't take offense at what they say to each other. But it's not like my Shep gives a sh*t. She flirts with Vega thanks to auto-dialogue. So Garrus can flirt with whomever he wants. He knows which cabin he's heading up to at the end of the day :3

When I did my first playthrough with Jane (who'd romanced Garrus) I saw their banter as plauful teasing, and considering the hefty lack of banter from the squaddies through the rest of the game this was more than welcome. Then when my boyfriend did his playthrough with his MaleShep (who'd romanced Jack) and came to just before Earth I was like "Ooh! Go to the Battery! Shep says thanks to the two for always being there, it's lovely!" and when he got there and caught them kanoodling my expression was basicaly "O___O", my bf wouldn't stop laughing for ages.

Now on later playthroughs with Jayla (Garrus), Kattaya (No-one) and Jericho (Tali) I kinda twinge at their flirting, but think Jane, Jayla and Kattaya do playful flirting with James (I actually love that tbh) then meh, let them do it.
