I prefer the dynamic between them as friends though.
"Er... what?" covers it pretty well, yes.Sialater wrote...
So..I got a review yesterday on Loved where I was basically yelled at for my Shepard allowing Garrus to come along on Mordin's recruitment mission. And because Meghan yelled at him for insisting he was fine and good to go instead of admitting he wasn't.
Er.... what?
I have some Shepards who allow Garrus to come along during that mission, some who don't. I don't see what the big deal is...

Yeah I keep changing my mind about the Talibrations thing as well. Right now it bothers me, but a small part of me still thinks it's cute.

Yeah... I have no idea. I thanked them for the review. I'm just still scratching my head.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it a huge risk what they are doing all together anyways? And by that mind set, we would have to yell at Bioware for taking Tali along too, for fear of getting sick for...just about everything.

tl;dr - haters gon' hate. I really like your story, btw. I've barely scratched the surface, though. I WILL get caught up one of these days.

Finally! So far that looks like the best Dark Horse comic so far. Garrus isn't green or isn't making derpy faces. I would actually buy that comic.

People might be interested that the preview pages for the Garrus comic are up. And a random Garrus dad appears! http://www.darkhorse...s/20-460?page=0
Took me a few seconds to realize what the problem was. xD
Looks pretty good, hoping I can get it in the Netherlands, I also ordered the Garrus action figure, just waiting for the Tali one (that one looks really good!).

If I was one of the artists of the previous comics I'd be laughing as I rubbed money earned from drawing those comics all over my body while screeching "lulz I don't even know wtf I was drawingggggurrglrglruglrlurg." Because honestly, Wot. The. Eff. MASSIVE SIDE EYE ERNYBUDDY?
Wouldn't you, I don't know, try to hire people who could actually draw your IP above the skill-level of "derp"?

Ah don't stress over one reviewer getting their panties in a wad. They obviously don't understand Garrus. My Shep always takes him. She tells him to go back but when he argues she goes "Lol, your funeral, Boss." And when he starts with the not feeling good, I imagine her nagging him like a cranky wife through the whole thing. "I TOLD you to go back. But, no, who listens to me? 'Ah yes, deadly illness, we have dismissed that claim'. Well I dismiss the claim that I'm gonna be bringing you crackers and juice while you're coughing up a lung in the medbay. *grumble grumble*" But she totally would.

Aww, thank you!
I think it just boils down to a misunderstanding of story versus gameplay interaction.
And I won't confirm or deny that Meghan would do that to Garrus had he gotten sick.

Which I can somewhat empathize with, being a freelancer myself. Sometimes you get desperate. I know if I didn't know what Mass Effect was, I'd be pretty horrified at some of the designs you'd have to come up with.
The best case scenario is that ME comics will keep doing good enough to warrant an actual series, not just a mini series. Then they'd have to hire a more set artist, not just a temp guy.
[*Not at all indicating that bioware should, mind you. Most of bioware's artists are concept guys, who likely have no interest in making comics. Its also likely a lot cheaper to work with Dark Horse's inhouse staff, because these are guys 'proven' to turn work in a short amount of time.]

Given that information I can now just imagine the poor b******s who had to draw the aliens fuming "Who is the a****hole who designed these creatures? WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM?" But I still stand by the whole money-body-rubbing. Only now it is also tinged with healthy doses of hysteria and despair.
Also, this current artist is progress. Right? <insert hopeful smile here> Maybe they will keep them.

The conversation between Garrus and Shep afterwards (after the 'joking in the cockpit' part) is priceless!
It starts just like the convo they have when you do the cure (Joker also adds his 2 cents);
Joker (about Mordin): "He'll have a hell of a tombstone. "Cured the Genophage!", with a little asterisk, at the bottom, it'll say, "which he also created."."
-----
Garrus: "So how does it feel, knowing krogan will be singing songs about you until the end of time?"
Shepard (dialogue option, I did it for the war effort): "To be honest, I did it so the krogan would help your people."
Garrus: "And believe me, it won't be forgotten."
Shepard: "I'm sure it won't."
Garrus: "Our fleets will be there for Earth. I'll make sure of it."
Shepard: "I know you will."
Garrus: "I just hope Wreav remembers his history. I don't want to be back on Tuchanka someday ending another war."
Shepard: "I wouldn't worry about that."
Garrus: "No? Well you've got more faith in him than I do. If it wasn't my own world that needed help..."
Sheaprd: (dialogue option): "That would have been tough to live with, tricking an entire species like that."
Garrus: "I'm not saying you wouldn't need ice in your veins, but I doubt Mordin would've gone along with it."
Shepard: "We'll never know."
God, I feel awful now, I'm really happy that there is another conversation with Garrus where you can tell him about sabotaging the cure. Though I must say, I really like the storyline with Wreav and sabotaging the cure, it is well written and I'm glad I could keep Mordin alive. ^^
Also wondering which part (if any) the conversation is romance specific. >>'

The fact that they don't appear on the datapad doesn't make them non-canon... *stops herself from rambling again*
I am sure Garrus sends them after the ending. Too bad that the app isn't flexible.
Thanks for the link to the Garrus-comic! And I have to agree, those turians actually look more or less decent. Not looking forward to the female turian design though - the last 'attempt' was ridiculous enough to simply laugh and forget, but if a decent looking comic confirms their 'no real fringe' etc style, it'd be a slight disappointment for me. I liked the style shown in some of the fanarts linked here before way better.
And about the full-renegade Genophage 'cure': Thanks for posting the dialogue, I am somehow looking forward to my mostly-renegade-via-manipulated-savegame-history playthrough as well - I just can't kill Wrex in ME, but want to save Mordin in at least one of my games.
