EDI though. I am usually pretty much a stickler for canon. But if Bioware has essentially said they left the ending ambiguous for Shepard, and they didn't even give her a 'death' scene other than her name being on the wall, my mind is that she's able to be repaired at some point. The relays are fixable and they're still reaper tech. It might take a few years, but...
If Bioware wants to give me a compelling reason why red light kills reapers and green light makes everyone roboots, they are more than welcome to.
[And, this is coming from someone who is largely okay with the endings now that the EC is out.]

Yay to Amber Penglass, Sound the Clarion has been updated! Which reminds me, has anyone else noticed - at least on FFdotnet that ME stuff is slowing down? I've got about 5 Garrus/Shepard fics that I'm following and since EC came out they've all pretty much stopped updating. Or is it literally just the 5 I'm following that've stopped?
Yay thanks for this link - just stayed up til 3am reading the story so far - not normally a fan of AU either but damn fine writing...

I've pondered over what my headcanon is for EDI/Geth. I am pretty sure Geth could be reworked to their pre-reaper code state, but I'm not sure if the Quarians would actually do that. They might be convinced to give them proper burials, but...

Well it's heavily implied that the Reaper parts of EDI were her cyber warfare suites. Think about it, she was already sentient on Luna. And that BS that the red beam targets "all synthetic life" and "even you are part synthetic" is crap. If you take that at face value, that means it would blow up ships, toasters, Sophie the dog, and anything non-organic. The way I sees it, that beam (with high EMS and thus with a fully stable power source) targets and completely corrupts Reaper code. EDI's not dead, she's just broken for a little while and loses the Defense part of Enhanced Defense Intelligence.
As for the geth, like you said, they could probably be brought back to their former state. Sad, 'cause it kind of makes Legion's sacrifice pointless, but then again, I honestly didn't understand the need for it in the first place. Maybe the quarians end up having some kind of internal conflct over whether or not to bring them back.
I stick to canon, too, but not when I'm supposed to blindly put my faith in space magic.
Oh and I also firmly believe that the Citadel just got busted up and there were tons of failsafes, emergency shelters, and escape pods that kept most of the refugees safe, including Old Man Vakarian and Solana. Because I can.

I like your point of view
Regarding EDI, I'd even be okay with her avatar being lost - because who knows what Reaper-tech whatevers Cerberus used to build Dr. Eva's body. But that could be replaced, and in the meantime, when the AI core was back up to speed (without some code fragments, maybe), EDI would be 'back'.
And I think so because I can

I just finished reading Garrus' Homeworld comic. Nothing incredible, and I still dislike the way they drew female turians, but it was a nice read. I liked it.
Plus, young Garrus.

And aaagh. I just read the Garrus comic. I really liked it, at least compared to a lot of the other comics. Definitely the better of the Homeworlds comics. [Narrative?! What are YOU doing here?] Holy ****, Garrus' mom looks like a badass. Just so many feels. I definitely recommend people get it.
The only thing I was sort of 'eh' with was reusing the same monologue Garrus gives in ME2. It fits, but for people who know the game it probably would have been better to just reword it.

uninstalled ME3 from my comp since it don't work much, however do have a copy of game saved on a TerraByte so I can play with models at least in 3DS Max again...
...still, apparently missing "material" folders/files for ME3 guys now checking 3DS Max, maybe game somehow got a little corrupted... not the first time this has happened with EA/BioWare games...
could explain it keep crashing, reinstall last time didn't fix it maybe it'll do it this time around...
though with it being download only that will have to wait 'til night...
although, in game character models didn't seem to be missing any, just background textures/materials if anything... hmm...

3ds max me3 garrus textures missing materials

me1 3ds max... at least I still got some turians to play with...

I loved the interaction with his mom. Sooo sweet. <3 And yeah, she definitely seems like a badass. Overall I think the parts that take place on Palaven are my favourites.
Sounds like I have to try to get the comic after all - glad to hear that it's not only not completely bad, but quite enjoyable.
What about turian females, still similar to the first comic design?

And to answer your question, yes. At least Mommy is awesome.

I'd say its the best of the dark horse comics, although the art may be more towards the middleground range of DH art.

It can also be acquired through other means, but I strongly support purchasing the comics. The series won't improve in quality if it doesn't make money. But it isn't exactly hard to find on tumblr either.

I literally squealed when I read through. I haven't been this excited for anything related to the ME series since pre-ME3 release.

Yeah, they kept the design from the Evolution comic. To be fair, though, I'm just assuming the ME team told the Darkhorse people to trust in their artistic integrity and speculate. Darkhorse makes everything hideous anyway.

All....my....effing....hate....
On a completely unrelated note, i saw a copy of Inheritence (i'm an Eragon fan, don't judge me) on a bookshelf today. Absolutely massive kick in the feels i almost broke down sobbing...you know you've done the whole bittersweet ending thing right when you can do that to people...

And regarding Eragon: Uh, where's the problem? I've read the first two or three books myself, though I found it harder and harder to identify with the characters. In general, I doubt anybody around here will shake his / her head if you like a story where some of the protagonists are creatures not really from this world with sharp teeth and plates on their skin

Maaaan it's been years since I read the Eragon books...I never made it to the fourth one. But much like with the Darkhorse fem!turians, I say the movie never happened.

Thanks for all the updates on the comic. Yeah, definitely on my "to buy" list for this year, just having to figure out where, when and how.

Eh, its just that a lot of people get all "hurr durr bad writing, hes a teenager hurrrrr" and i'm all "huh?", so i like to get the, uh, niceties out of the way early.
I love my dragons, always have, and the whole mind connection thing reduces me to a bubbling mess everytime

You really should read it, Paolini can give BioWare a lesson or two in bittersweet. I cried horribly and was relatively depressed for a good week after the end....in a good way, like i just finished an epic 4 years of epic.
What movie you talking about? I don't remember an Eragon movie...i remember a very very well done Saphira, but a movie? Lies i tell you, all lies!
