The Garrus BROmance is amazing in ME3.

It really is. My MShep is very glad to have him around.

Not related to turians, but anyway: Is it really possible to see Kasumi "reunite" with Keji with the EC? Always got her looking at the graybox, if it was saved, but heard there can be another screen - somehow.

Synthesis Ending.

I shed a tear in his goodbye scene :crying:. Garrus is the best bro ever.
I just read Garrus's comic. It was awesome, unlike Tali and James's.

My other FemShep was also happy to have her bro Garrus at her side. I was this close to romance him AGAIN, though.

sooooooooo we have to speculate because a reunion between shep and his/her LI would have been too "cheezy" and "cliche" yet this slide shows up? *cough* bulls**t *cough* The truth is (at least what I think is the truth) is that they wanted to paint synthesis as the BEST ENDING...can't really do that if you reward the destroyers with a last nice image like the above. Plus I think they were too lazy and didn't want to change the breath scene. EC is a nice band aid but like most of ME3 was done with the MINIMUM of effort possible.

Actually that's not really centered only towards the synthesis endingPosted Image Certain scenes will just only appear in some endings or not. Not JUST cause its synthesis.
Thats just the slide you get if Kasumi kept the greybox. If its destroyed, you get a slide of her being all sad and gloomy.

btw - HI hyrule! Posted Image *extreme glomp* 8D

In Destroy and Control, you get the slide of Kasumi holding and interfacing with the box (you have to look carefully) regardless of whether you told her to destroy it or keep it (i.e. she won't listen to you if you told her to get rid of it). This slide is unique to synthesis. Or that's what the general consensus was when this slide came up in another thread. It seems the slides are extremely buggy.

*cough* but I agree that Synthesis is the pet ending. Gross.

Buuuuut I'm done talking about the endings here before I offend someone. Here, have some Garrus.

@hyrule : :D Hugs! i sry im not around anymore T-T so busy. I mostly just lurk on the forums now. Still obsessed with turians of course. Heh. Most BSN buddies are contacting me via twitter or leaving things in my inbox. Or skype XP Feel free to do so as well. Love to hear from the old gang :D

Thats an understatement XP The slides are practically random sometimes. So many different ones appear in each. Ive seen various outcomes. But alas - oh well. And agree - Synthesis = .......No words can express my UGH feels for it. Posted Image Space magic.....Pfffft. Its destroy or nothing. But everyone has their vices. "To each their own."

I rarely speak about the ME3 endings because if its one thing ive learned - The me3 ending is like politics. A discussion WILL turn into a heated debate. OR a more appropriate comparision: Fight Club. Whats the first rule about fight club? To not talk about fight club! XD But im glad pretty much most of my close BSN friends are on the same thought process as my own. Makes me feel glad.

Responsible for Garrus dialog.] via Nerd Appropriate Community Game night on me3 :3 He answered a few concerns and questions about me3. Most of which were quite interesting answers. We can thank him for being on the team to have garrus an LI in me2. Apparently some BW staff members were opposed to the idea. LE GASP!

Yeah I remember them waaay back when talking about the dilemma of making Garrus romanceable. And yet they thought that a character like Jacob The Priiize Taylor would win hearts? I really do wonder how some of the people at BioWare are able to look at themselves in the mirror every day. Boggles the mind. Don't get me wrong, though, I still have a soft spot for Jacob. Many laughs were had at his expense :3

 Its destroy or nothing

Yup only my VERY stubborn akuze shep (angry too...she romanced Thane...*grumble*) would shoot starbrat in the face as her answer. Mind you all my sheps wanted to do it but they just had more restraint LOL  . To me refuse and destroy are the only endings I will ever choose.

I didn't forget what the main objective of the trilogy was, destroy the reapers. Not help the misunderstood synthetics with a sprinkle of green empathy magic so we could all get along Posted Image The image of green husks and reaper abominations becoming part of the new society ( going to work to find a husk in the cubicle next to you LOL) makes me shoot dat pipe every time. Blergh no thanks Posted Image

ANYWAY I know Garrus would have picked destroy....actually I have a hard time thinking of any squaddie to NOT tell you to shoot the pipe. Even EDI and legion! I'm sure if I had them all around me at that moment I would have had thier support.

Yep the Starchild tries very hard to make you pick that option; it's inevitable, blah blah blah... personally I didn't see any of my Sheps believing that you could stop a war by... making everybody the same, basically. Would they get brainwashed or something? I always go Destroy, only my super naive Shep picked Control, which I consider to be a bad ending (and it LOOKS like one, which is fine).
Sorry, will shut up about the endings now, this place is too nice to turn into a heated argument. Just needed to get it out of my system. Again, too each their own. I can't wrap my mind around Synthesis and it irritates me to see that Bioware apparently wants you to pick it.

I'm personally okay with the no reunion scene though. It would have been nice, but they probably woud have had the exact same scene for each LI. I like headcanon better.
Plus the last conversation at the beam alone was worth downloading the EC anyway.
Btw, you do NOT want to have low EMS for this scene.

As for ME2, I can see why some people at Bioware didn't want a Garrus romance, I was very surprised myself (it only took me just a few seconds to decide I would romance him though), but I'm glad they went for it anyway.
Still not a big fan of the whole "let's have casual sex" thing, despite it being hilarious, but seeing how their relationship turned out in ME3... worth it. And yeah, about Jacob... seriously, they honestly believe we would fall for that guy? I mean he's nice and all and one of the conversations with him is actually very, very good, but Shep sounding in heat everytime she spoke to him, regardless of whether he's romanced or not was a complete deal breaker for me.

HNNNGGG if only I could get that as a mural painted on my wall....(except that's not heaven to me because my Shep lived happily ever after because HAHA F*** you BioWare.)

Seriously, though, I'm glad to see many of us here are on the same page. And that's all I have to say about the endings.

I'm one of the few that loved the initial approach to the romance. It fit my Shepard very well because the poor girl has no romantic inclinations whatsoever and is blunt as a spoon in most aspects of her life. The way it played out from seemingly casual to something serious was perfection. Ah the good ol' days of popping heat sinks.

You just need to play with a N7 character in your team and successfully extract to fulfil the Squad Goal ^_^

Off-topic :P You don't need a N7 character to do the operation. How to get N7 character ? Keeps buying PSPs. I spent a week playing and buying packs to have N7 Shadow and N7 Destroyer. It was worth it. Or you can just wait, if this operation succeed, we will get a N7 character in the Victory pack :)

The part with 'synthesis is BEST BEST BEST, don't you players dare to think otherwise' was actually my first impression when I finally saw all three endings (none of my three main Shepards is ever going to touch the control console or the synthesis beam, not even for science, so I had to wait for the forth).
After stopping laughing about the circuit-covered leaves, that is.

But then I reconsidered and am now sort of convinced they tried to somehow balance it. There are "Disney slides" (sorry, but that phrase is great :D) for Destroy, too, and I'd bet for Control as well. In case of Destroy, you can see Samara at peace, Zaeed relaxing, Grunt / Wrex / Eve all happy and rebuilding, the (personal opinion again) most beautiful London screens, a content Jacob... Jack's I've only seen with my Control-trying Shepard, but it's nice, too. And Shepard breathing plus the acknowledgement of the LI in the memorial scene is not Synthesis, either.

And Disney-craving players with a severe rainbow-bunny-fluff addiction - fanfiction, fanart, headcanon or (if on PC) modified endings. Not optimum, but okay for me.

Edit: Forgot to mention, thanks for posting those great pictures above!
And I don't want to start any heated argument on the endings, either, I just never got the impression that it was a danger in this thread. Always thought and think that most people around here have their opinion, but tolerate the other options.

I did a bad thing today. I've been bragging so much about ME and Garrus to my older brother that he played the game, if only to shut me up. And today, I talked him into changing his Kaidanmancer to a Garrusmancer. When I promised myself I wouldn't.

I can already tell he's going to pick Destroy... :3

Still wondering how many people who prefer Synthesis now would pick Destroy if it spared the Geth and EDI... someone please tell me to shut up about the endings!

Edit: Seleya, you're right, I have a hard time imagining a really heated argument starting here. But there's been so much talk about the endings, let's give it a rest for now

*raises both hands without shame*
Yep, that's me.
Before EC, I'd happily pick Destroy because whether or not EDI and the Geth actually died was left ambiguous enough that I could pretend the Catalyst was lying. When EC came out, I agonized over the choice even worse than I did when I was playing it for the first time before it. Now I pick Synthesis every time, purely because I feel like a complete sh!tbag for killing EDI and the Geth otherwise.

If they ever changed it though, I'd happily switch. They won't - but it's an entertaining thought anyway.

Ahh headcanon, where would I be without you~

Well, for me that's the good thing about the endings, and I'm not being sarcastic. There's no easy choice and it actually feels bittersweet with the EC instead of just bitter. I can totally understand why some people could never pick destroy. I myself could never pick Synthesis. I tried with Jane, but nope, roleplay wise I simply can't pick it.

... then again in my headcanon I believe the Geth and EDI can be rebuilt, so Destroy doesn't sound bad at all. Plus, turian babies.

Yep pretty much this, I see the starchild as a pretty banged up A.I. so I call bullsh*t on his logic anyway. The relays can be repaired, I don't think all the Geth were wiped out, they can be rebuilt and the Quarians need the Geth now more than ever so I think they'll make it a top priority of theirs to get them functioning again. EDI more than likely is gone but I can live with that as I was never a big fan of hers anyway. Destroy is the only way for me, all the other choices are just distractions, keep focused Shep, stick to your guns:devil:

I like EDI, so I choose to believe she can be restarted, too - perhaps her avatar is lost, but the 'real' EDI is still there down in the AI core and the Normandy crew has yet to realize it. They are pretty swift with putting up Anderson's and Shepard's name up on that memorial wall, after all, at least in some cases without waiting to check for all facts.
To the rest: Full agreement on my part.

But the Catalyst... Usually I avoid thinking about it, as I see no reason to force my bloodpressure into unhealthy heights, but since it basically tells the truth about what will happen in the different endings, and synthesis is not offered to any Shepard (so no general tendency of the Catalyst to convince Shepard to choose it) - suicidal AI? Old motif of "too much power, no difference between absolute power and no power at all", like Jergal, who just gave his power to Bhaal and Co in Baldur's Gate because he was tired and didn't want to continue any more? Or is it just crazy - or has the "Shepard Effect" finally reached the Reaper mastermind and converted it, too?
Still, in any case it's a little too manipulative (dead boy avatar??) for my taste. I'll probably stick with 'crazy AI' and blowing it up on all occasions, less headache.
