Hi Metandra and lostheretics! Welcome to one of the nicest places on the forums! =D Always nice to see new faces.

And I know the feeling, I've been annoying my friends non-stop about the ME series and the characters in particular since I discovered it (that is, a few months ago). Though I managed to turn one of them into a Garrus fangirl despite the fact she's *never* played the game.

She went insane when I told her I had a game in which Garrus had died during the Suicide Mission. XD

Most of my friends shut their brains off if I try to talk about something ME related or they laugh good naturedly, just as you would laugh when your cat manages to stand on its head. *le sigh* My heart has been soothed and my mood uplifted so many times while lurking on this thread. Didn't have any kind of income before to buy the games so I had to make do with being a silent observer but now, I managed to trick the system (so to speak XD) and bought them.

In celebration, here's a sexy Garrus, giving a heated, sexy stare. (sorry for his head getting cut off slightly )

I don't know what the hell happened. I just finished my first playthrough with garrus as a romance. I went to visit him after cerebrus base and he was with tali. I was WTF, has this ever happened to anyone.

He's with Tali whether you romance him or not. Just the dialog between them and what they do changes. If you romanced him, they'll be on opposite sides of his console, talking about the good old times, how they're happy to have met each other and Shep, how good friends they are (yadda yadda) and if you didn't romance him, you'll be walking in on them embracing.

My knowledge is limited on xbox modding but I can direct you to some info that'll help get the ball rolling. It's not possible to edit the coalesced file or use texmod but anything else utilizing gibbed is fair game. If you're interested, just send me a PM and let me know what it is you're looking to mod and I'll help you out.


@Jill: Do you mean they were together or do you mean they were together? If you mean the latter, yeah, that's a bug I've heard of before like the bug where a romanced Tali who launches herself off a cliff shows up in the Cap'n's cabin for the romance scene. Talk about awkward

Just thought I'd share this for the Garrus fans (myself included) - on Gamespot.com, they have video of the Leviathan DLC demo which shows that yes, Garrus (and the other squadmates) will be getting new dialogue in this DLC:

Ooooh, thanks! Some Garrus is better than no Garrus. Vid touched on two of my pet peeves though:
1) Ninja political ad
2) Humans yakking while Garrus is talking

@Karrie: Thanks for the welcome!!  There's a friend of mine who just gives me the, "Uh, if you say so..." kind of response (he's a Liaramancer). Another friend insists Thane's better than Garrus because of the drell voice! I like Thane, don't get me wrong, but Garrus's voice is... Hm, pardon me, I just remembered something I need from my bedroom...

Garrus is the ultimate bro, my favourite character apart from Tali of course. Playing my first FemShep playthrough and he has to be the LI.

@Metandra: Well... I like Thane. I really do, and had he had a decent romance in ME3, I totally would have created a FemShep just for him. But his voice wasn't the reason why I found him so interesting. He's a good friend.
Plus... yeah. Garrus' voice is, erm... *nice*.
Thane's voice in French is peculiar, to say the least. Nice, but peculiar. If only he had a decent romance conclusion in ME3...

Tali's a sweetheart, makes me go "awww" all the time. First choice for my ManShep. I'm a sucker for Garrus/Paragade;Renegon FemShep (Lexane's paragon and renegade scores are pretty much equal, so I don't know which one I should call her). The good thing though is that he works with pretty much all FemSheps of all alignements.

I hate whoever pointed out the fact that Harbinger has a smiley face. I can't take the beam scene seriously now. When the dramatic music starts while Harbinger comes down to face Shepard I can't help but giggling like an idiot.

some spiders' eyes do similar,

3ds max me3 Harbinger model doesn't have the eye-lights in model, whereas me2's arrival dlc Harbinger model does.



3ds max/umodel having a few issues though with the models' textures/materials...

I was afraid that would be the answer, but still - thanks for confirming.

About Thane (and, to be fair, the other ME2-levo-romances): I liked(*) them all in ME2, but don't feel like playing them through ME3. The game is gloomy enough, so no personal wish to be upset about little screentime of the LI (Miranda, Jack, probably Kelly), death of the LI (Thane) or switching of the LI against his dark-side-of-the-force evil twin (Jacob).
(*): No challenge for Garrus, though. History with Shepard, reliability, voice, humor, utter lack of strange surely-it-will-make-the-char-interesting-backgrounds... Eh, I'll stop right here.

Edit: @Karrie: Yeah, it somehow kills the mood during that scene
For me it was similar with Synthesis. Those leaf-circuits get me every time I see them - okay, that means very, very rarely and mostly for science (i.e. screenshots), but still.

So far I've been able to play the Garrus (obviously!), Traynor, and last minute Liara romances. I'll play my Talimance playthrough... eventually.

@Seleya: it's hilarious.  And followed by a very emotional scene. I was so confused.

Well, my reason for throwing the char I was least attached to into the beam was, as said, 99% to get more screenshots and 1% curiosity. I wanted to get most to all rainbow-bunny-Disney pictures for a custom ending slideshow, and now that I've seen it, I want to get Kasumi's reunion screen as well to recycle it, perhaps for a biotic Shepard. Not so sure, but I like its style - though not the implication / content.

Heh, I don't blame people who pick Synthesis and who consider it the best option, or those who pick it for science.  I see the appeal. I just can't see it happening.

I really, really don't like the Kasumi screenshot. I love Kasumi, but I wish she could stop obsessing over what she's lost and start living for what she still has.
