These?
Never play poker with turians--it's impossible to tell if they're bluffing. Don't play against quarians either--they never pay their debts. And never play against krogan--they'll kill you if they lose.

I see what they did there.
Still quite awesome, though.

Makes me wonder how and when Tali finds out about Garrus and FemShep in ME2. (Alternatively, how Garrus finds out about her and ManShep.) Would be funny if she caught him in the elevator with a bottle a champagne on his way to Shep's quarters...
Well considering Garrus is kind of hopeless when it comes to being romantic I always imagine that he goes to Tali for advice. As for how he finds out about MaleShep and Tali, in my headcanon it’s through Kasumi spreading gossip.

Loved Chapter 25 is up.
Fantastic as usual. As Karrie said, the effort you put into it really shows.
So are you planning on going all the way through ME3? Either way, I hope you keep updating Loved, it really is my favorite Mass Effect fic.
Thank you! And yeah, I'm planning on continuing it through ME3. But will the fic resemble the game?

If the last part is a threat and implies that you consider to mirror or worsen the ending, I'd strongly recommend to put this account on your ignore list, because I'll spend the next five or six posts crying, arguing and complaining about your ME ending, too. Just a friendly warning
Eh, back to topic. Great update on 'Loved'! But while I like your "Shepard makes her point" scene, I'd take the burial part with the reflections of Asari culture if I had to pick a favourite. From my point of view, the characters are all depicted with amazing accuracy, and well-done 'culture' parts (for any race, with the possible exception of Vorcha) fascinate me every time.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

I appreciate the work you have put into this, but I would neither buy or play it. First and foremost, for me ME is Shepard's story. Even playing as Joker for about one minute in ME 2 felt somehow wrong. Then there are story details suggested I wouldn't want to see. Finally, any changed ending would probably conflict with my headcanon, and since I have spend the last months convincing my subconsciousness to accept it, I rather stay with "my" version for my Shepards.

I'm still mad that you actually think that making Shepard a hopelessly cliche, lore breaking "Not a Phantom" "N7 Shadow". Seriously don't you realise how many levels of wrong the mere concept of an Alliance Phantom contains, let alone a Shepard Phantom? The Phantoms abilities are due to Reaper Tech, the Alliance doesn't use Reaper Tech in that manner. EVER.
And no, i think that idea is horrible, because its still based on the endings as is, which are horrible.

When I do play femshep, I tend to romance Garrus. I am curious though, what does Garrus fanfic tend to lead towards post ME3? Is there something used alot, such as how Talimancers (like myself) seem dead set on a home on Rannoch?
Thanks!

It is interesting... infinitesimal chance they'll ever make it, though.

I'd guess it depends on one's personal tolerance for fluff, bunnies, rainbows etc
As Karrie says, many fictions throw babies into a possible future. In that context, some come to mind where 'babies' are combined with 'retirement' and 'somewhere warm and tropical', i.e. basically what Garrus says during the (first) London goodbye scene.

Thank you! I had to go look up ancient Greek burial traditions and then that ad on the Citadel for burial shrouds... and... update it for our "modern" times.... And pester my Beta for "does this sound right?" And the result was the burial masks.
And no, I cannot give Meghan and Garrus anything other than a happy ending. I've tortured Meghan too much. But that's the only clue I'm giving.

heh seems everyone wants babies. Loads of baby pictures in the liara thread. Talimancers occasionally discuss kids - either adoption or those crazies who want hybrids.

Well, I am obviously biased, but having seen Kaidan's ME3 romance, Samantha's and the beginning of Liara's in person - yeah, that fits with my impression. Not only the 'obvious' romance dialogues, but also the smaller changes which I didn't recognize as 'romance-only' until my third (and first non-Garrus) playthrough only, make for a convincing and satisfying romance story. Traynor's is sweet, but somehow 'second class' due to game mechanics since she's no squadmate, and at least for Kaidan's I'd have liked to see more additions.
@Sialater: Already said, but again: Nice to hear. As long as it's a happy ending, I'll take it gladly, even without an overdose of rainbows

Its not just "babies", show me a image of a Turian baby and it won't do anything. Say its Shepards kid, immediately it becomes relevant, or put it in a fic and you'll reduce me to tears. Its the relationship between Garrus, Shep and the child thats special, not the simple fact that its a kid.

Also, throw in my vote for ShepBabies. There's a lot of hate out there for that though...many think it's too mushy gushy. I'll tell you what, the only people who equate babies to happy rainbow butterfly bunny farts have never raised a child.
Also, reposting this since we talkin' bout babbies.

(much as i like some of the others, I'd like to try out some other paths when I'm finished my recent ME1 play through)
...So, it may be too late for cure for Thane, but what about those other Drell out there that'd likely/possible have same illness?
