Oh also, apparently "leaked files" show that your squadmates are in fact involved in Leviathan, so rest easy.

But that can mean anything, i don't see whats so special about that.

Gameplay showed that they talked. That's special. In all Mass Effect 2 DLCs your characters spoke nothing.
I wonder if that's why the DLCs are more expensive this time around, something has to cover VO payment.
I just hope next DLCs will have VO too.

I'd be happy to know the DLC's "worth" from the point of view of a Garrus-romancing Shepard as well, so thanks in advance for sharing any related information :)

Yay! So happy I won't have to comb through dozens of Liara-mancing broshep playthroughs. *dances with Garrus*

Haven't been on this thread for a while. I've popped in every now and then to check some things, but am too busy/lazy to post.

It would be great to get some spoiler free head's up from anyone who gets and plays the DLC next week. I'm waiting myself to buy it until I get a general consensus among garrusmancers that it added something substantial to the story. I don't expect anything to happen in the ending other than a shoutout or two about leviathan, but who knows... maybe we will be pleasantly surprised. Either way, I'm not holding my breath.

I trust you people long before anything that is posted on ign. I laughed when they posted an article about how the DLC will change the ending when I clearly saw what the official release from Bioware said. I don't go there anymore because, first, I don't trust a thing they write/review, and, second, they spend most of their time writing inflammatory articles that just try to get people to click on them.

There is a lot of good fanfiction out there. I'm hoping that "Sense and Flexibility" gets an update soon. (The author's monitors are shot apparently and can't post until she gets new ones) :/

Well I'm back at last. Heh, been spending time floating around the ending threads and it's just like Omega. Not a nice place to be. Best to hang around here. Anyways I'm not sure if anyone has seen this but I have been meaning to put it up for a while now. It's a little animation that i found on DA some time back. Based on the synthesis ending. It's animated but only for a few frames and it is a little melencholy.

Well theres a little dose of Garrus for you. I've heard rumours that Levi is doing something for the romance's but is that ingame during the mission or is it during the big romance scene near the end? Anyways, I'll be back  when I find more pics.

AAAARGH SYNTHESIS.

Ahem. Sorry. =3 It'll never happen in my universe, but it really is a lovely piece.

And as I said, I'll tell you guys if there's anything romance-related in Levi and if the DLC in itself is worth it in my humble opinion (hope they're not going to delay the French release like they did with the Extended Cut, but even if they did, it would only be a few hours so it should be quick).

Oh good I will probably get it anyways too but it would be nice if there was a bit of romancey-ness... since apparently the ability to romance aliens is the only reason I play anymore. *facepalm* It feels like a shallow reason compared to-oh I don't know- wanting to save the universe.

I'll be getting it, but with Guild Wars 2 coming out the same day, no telling when I'll be playing it.

Reminds me of my own playthroughs :D

Seriously though, I don't see the problem. This "human" touch (or alien), albeit not only the romances, but all of the squad interaction, is what changes ME3 from a point-and-shoot experience to something more interesting for me.

I honestly don't blame you, theres nothing special about the ME3 gameplay that keeps me interested, the Garrus barely held me through the game as i constantly expected some long conversations or being able to invite him up and have a special cutscene (that isn't before Chronos)...

Sigh, i think of one thing i actually liked about the game and i'm immediately reminded of another why i hate it....

So the DLC is downloading at this moment (very slowly). Very excited. Garrus of course gets my first playthrough. Not sure where to start in-game though. What saves are you guys using? After the date? Did BW specify a save point that would be best?

Hmmm, I did a playthrough before the date, but I don't think it makes a ton of difference. The playthrough was very tedious. You know how everyone says 90% of Mass Effect 3 was awesome, and the last 10 percent makes you want to throttle something? This is the exact opposite, I rushed through most dialogue cause I was so damned bored. A lot of "go here... now go back... talk for a half hour... go here... now go back, More chatting!" Plus integrating some of the multi-player objective things like 'escort and fetch'

The game play was fairly hard so, thats something... well it was for me cause uh, I such at aiming. Last ten minutes was pretty cool, though I guessed the outcome in the beginning. There was no Love interest-y goodness to be found. Some concerned shouts of "Shepard" and some "Shep! You're so crazy!" lines. Actually in a couple spots Cortez seemed more affectionate. Maybe it's different if you take a post date Garrus but I doubt it. DLC was very meh for me, I am surprised it doesn't change the endings though.

You need to do it after the date, because there were several LI lines for Garrus during the DLC. Just got done, absolutely loved it.

Without spoiling, I can recall at least three places: after the second mission, and during the third twice.

I just played it and I loved the romance scenes, I was totally caught unawares, and hero Garrus is S.E.X.Y.

I did the DLC after the Citadel date with Garrus, and there wasn't much for me. James, Cortez and EDI had WAY more dialogue and affection then Garrus did. Yeah, I saw the three lines Mims recalls, and I got the hero Garrus, but honestly, I was expecting more.

On a side note: I think this should have been in the second game. The big reveal of "Collectors are Protheans!!! OMG!!" wasn't all that interesting, to me, compared to the Reaper reveal in the first game. -shrug- Maybe not all the information given, but I still feel like this should have been in long before the Catalyst-Star-Child stuff, and all the EC DLC should have been in before too. That feels more like a Mass Effect game then it did before those DLCs were part of it, IMHO.

Mass Effect 1 is the setting of the stage: i.e. Reapers, big baddies of the universe, Saren and all that.

Mass Effect 2
is more of the in depth searching of the Reapers: i.e. why are they going after the human colonies, Leviathan, Collectors are Protheans, maybe even Javik near the end.

Mass Effect 3
is the climax and ending: i.e. figuring out the Crucible, if no Javik in the 2nd put him early on in this game, figuring out the Catalyst, how to kill Reapers, managing alliances and brokering peace treaties, more of Leviathan and the Rachni and actually fleshing out the choices made in 1 and 2, and then the culmination at the end with the Reaper A.I. and whooping ass and actually having choices like the Quarians vs. Geth and/or EDI matter.

Anyways, back to Garrus: much love to him <3

Just finished it, and loved it. I wasn't expecting that many romance lines (the ones we got made my heart melt, definitely quality lines, pure Shakarian awesomeness), actually the amount we got was pretty much what I was expecting. And Garrus got even more awesome just by... being Garrus in love.

Apart from that, the DLC is fun to play. And I totally didn't see the final revelation coming. Should have expected it, but it was awesome.

In short, I'm happy.

I started the DLC after Thessia, so way after the Citadel date. The Garrus LI dialogue caught my by surprise, one particular moment had me squeeing for joy and almost jumping out of my chair! I really like how they included it in the missions too - not laying it on too thick, not too little. I am very very very happy with this DLC.

I also now love Garrus even more, and I didn't think that was possible, haha.

Are you talking to the crew between missions Flesh? One of the dialogues is then. The others are less overt...sort of? Not sure how to describe without spoilers. They are definitely there though compared to the non-romance version.
