edit 2: The figure also adds to my assertion that Turians simply can't stand with the soles of their feets that far forward. He keels over every time....

Garrus's face does seem to be destroying the toy makers. I am thinking I may invest in one of the smaller ones and do a repaint at some point between now and eternity. There was a comparison shot of the two that showed just how big the new one is though- so its at least got that going.

I am surprised though at how hard of a time everyone is having getting the figures to stand, and yet it didn't come with a base? [Or did it? It doesn't sound like it from the reviews.]

So I've dropped by once before, and I'm doing so again just in case any of you guys were interested and havent seen it before. A group of people put together a survey for the romances that ME3 had to offer. It was just basically discussing what we liked about them, what we didn't, what we wish we would have seen, and what was just absolutely ridiculous. It had some positive and some negative. This was not a bash at the game or anything of that nature, not a demand for something, not to just overall gripe about BioWare. No, no, this was just a survey that we thought would be fun to do and just provide and to also say we would love to see more of these LIs as we just adore them. Now we know that we won't actually get any character-centric DLC, although it would be fantastic if we got something a la the loyalty missions of ME2 but the odds are kind of stacked against that as it wouldn't be profitable. So basically all the thought process was behind this was, 'Hey, in future DLC, would you mind taking our LIs into consideration?' That's it. We had nearly 8,000 people participate. And we have almost 20,000 hits. We have a surprise for when we hit 20,000 and then another for when we hit 25,000. If you're interested in seeing what people thought about Garrus' romance and what people thought could be improved upon it, feel free to take a look-see. And don't forget the lovely art gallery that people were so kind to create for this.

Seeing these, I can now understand why the figurines from Japan are so damned expensive in comparison. You're really paying for quality.

I just read Garrus' volume of Homeworlds. I was overjoyed when they showed Garrus' mother and father (even if the sketchy art quality is... questionable). I still really hope we get some sort of Palaven DLC in which we can FINALLY meet them or at least Garrus's sister, Solona. Seriously, we need more female turians.

Makes sense regarding the "despair" body language, but I can't place that brown thing in the background. The armor plus the turian in it look quite healthy for having been hit by a Mako, and why is there blue blood on the wall, but only on the wall? As said before, probably little sleep and / or the need for glasses on my part

Regarding DLCs: I'd like to see Palaven, but I doubt Bioware will show it - and I don't think we'll see female turians in any DLC. Too much work for a relatively small addition.
By the way, is there any reliable information regarding the next DLC somewhere?

On the description of the Play Arts FemShep figure, it says:
Commander Shepard comes with her trusty N7 Valiant Sniper Rifle, N7 Hurricane SMG and the OMNIBLADE.

So Garrus has a sniper.....and femshep has a sniper........Anyone else think theres going to be a rematch of a certain citadel date?.... Totally going to pose them sniping at some point! XD

I guess the only reason he looks bad is the texturing which they went overboard on for some reason. Doesn't look too bad in pictures but loses quality up close.

Around 88 or so, but i bought it from HLJ since thats the only online store i know of that delivers stuff very quickly.

Yeah, looks like it. Even the pictures seem a little weird. A pity - the rest looks really good.

Yeah the suit came out suprisingly well in the photos i took, almost like it were "real" per se. The shoulderpads are a tad flimsy being made out of a rubbery plastic of sorts, but it works well to get it into the right spot after adjusting the arms a bit.

Overall i'm happy with it, being my first figure of any kind, but still, could have been better.

About how much RAM do TexMod (with no textures running) and FRAPS take up for you? The machine I have the ME series on only has 2 gigs of RAM; I'm wondering if it's even worth bothering with mods or FRAPs if they take up too much RAM.

That's weird. I've never seen many HD textures for ME1 and Optimised textures I mentioned are made by Smarteck and for ME3. Textures in this game are awful.

The ME1 textures aren't so much HD as "not poop."  They do definitely help a somewhat aged game look its best, even if it was a bit of a pain getting everything to work.

Thanks for the link. I thought about playing ME again, so I'll probably try to improve it's textures as well.

ME2 and ME3 were / are fine in my opinion, though, so no need to torture my computer with more work.

It doesn't improve all of the fugly textures, and some of them are weirdly huge textures.  (Yeah, yeah, that sounded bad XD)  Wrex's textures alone are 55 mb, while some of the others are just a couple hundred kb.  But it does make ME3 much easier on the eyes.

I just got Garrus with my ManShep--he's such a racist ****** in ME1, and he's being so awful to Garrus and Tali.  (Wrex he respects because Wrex is an 800 lb krogan with a shotgun.)  I'm sorry, Garr-bear!  I promise you'll be bros forever after a few missions!

EDIT: Crap, ToP.  Well, an oldie but a goodie.  HAWT DAMN THOSE EYES.
