But yes I do actually agree with not making to many cutesy things. The only thing I would let slide is the "headbump" - because Garrus actually did it himself so Id imagine he'd do it again. And hugs - because we all agree, the guy freaking needs one. Whether its a bro hug or one with femshep. [yes - a la Appleseed hug. Thats the best and its perfect for them!]

And no - as cute as idea is - no babies. It just isnt going to happen. I strongly see them as soldiers thru and thru. They'll keep fighting - like Anderson. Though doesnt Anderson have a lover named Cynthia? If she is his possible wife - Garrus and Shep COULD get married >.> But i still see them kicking butt in the galaxy together for a long time rather than "settling down". It seems just so out of character if they did otherwise.

Imma # these XD Ive got me some comments.....
1- might not happen at all. BUT it would be nice if they chked in on each other if pieces of theyre armor fell off. We can shoot off pieces of the enemies - Im pretty sure they can do the same.
2 - Theyll pretty much keep the weapons they have :/ Only shep can put up the weapons enemies drop. Sucks.
3-Definitely happening in some way. Via bioware twitter they claim there MORE interactions b/w ppl. A LOT more. How and it what ways is a mystery....and a tease.
4- This would be nice. Or we can take meals to them. OR set up "dates" to meet up either in the mess hall or in their room. Similar to ME2 how Garrus and Shep had the idea to meet up in her quarters, but this would be more casual then just a possible straight-out love session. Just lovers chatting, enjoying the company.
5- Confirmed its going to happen. Its cannon. MORE banter b/w ppl Now again - what kind of banter is a mystery. I hope Garrus mentions reach and flexibility XDDD
6- I want this bad. Let Shep NEED Garrus for once. Not the usual other way around. I actually want this as Garrus' entrance in the game. Rescuing Shep - lots of headshots involved.
7- I vote meeting garrus' family. I want to see their reactions.
8- This most likely WILL happen. Its always hinted at in me1 and 2 that other characters are aware of Sheps relationships. Particularly in me2. A handful of ppl like Kelly, & Kasumi were in on it. Even jacob - if u dump him lol. Id LOVE to hear Tali and Joker comment since theyre friends to them both.
9- eh.....As much as my fangirl fantasies would gp wild - I might feel conflicted XP like bioware would just throw that in there just to fill the fans' needs. It has to be done RIGHT. Id love a scene where we see Garrus finally comfortable with the idea he has Shepard as a mate, and yes - show that he wants her. How that plays out - ill leave it to bioware.

As a fangirl...I don't want cutesy. Dx Meaningful, touching, sincere...but not cutesy. Appleseed hug is more than fine, however; I don't really consider that "cutesy."  And there is nothing cute about hybrid-mutant monstrosities. *shudders* But seeing femShep and Garrus ride off into the sunset gunning down baddies? Sign me up.

But yes - Garrus' family is a MUST SEE in this game. Its practically like in the top of EVERY garrus fans' wishlist for me3. Seriously bioware. Do it. They've dropped so many hints throughout the series. ME1=his dad. ME2= His mom and sis.

Now that its the end of the trilogy - I say its about time we stop beating around the bush and meet them head on!

See, yes this is how i feel. Im sure bioware knows what theyre doing. I mean, the fangirl in me would scream "OMG YES!!!!!", but in the game - realistically speaking, i dont want some pure-sex driven P0*N. I want something meaningful. Like Casey said at E3 - "This is a war story." Garrus can show how he feels in a number of ways, and vice versa with Shep. I highly doubt theres going to be scenes like me1 [stupid fox] BUT this is why I vote for silhouetted scenes. We cant "see" but can "see". Get it? I pitched this at the calibrations thread and many liked the idea. Its a nice medium ground b/w what happened in me1, and better than the teasing "fade to black" transitions in me2.

I wouldn't want to be spoiled by whatever Bioware has in store for the romantic scenes in ME3 but it sure is fun to speculate about the details. And it doesn't hurt to nudge them along in the right direction.

I read via biowares twitter that a few ppl asked if Garrus was getting hugs - all they said was that they were going to throw the idea into a meeting and eventually they were actually discussing it.

I just woke up and finished reading what everyone's said. I love all these ideas. One of the ideas that I like that I don't remember who suggested was the no babies idea. I don't think my Shep would want children, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't love Garrus nor doesn't want to show it by living happily ever after with him. I just don't see kids in their future. Setting up a school/orphanage on the Citadel with all those unused ME1 credits would be more in line with what they might do.

Hell, I would be happy to head back to Omega to help Garrus finish what he started. I would love that!

I think the whole "having kids" topic is pretty YMMV territory. Some Sheps may want kids, some may not, and others might not actively but are open to the idea. The one thing we all agree on, at least, is that adoption would be the word since nobody wants mutant babies <_<

I also think that Garrus would be pretty - ahem - flexible to Shepard's decision. I can see him as the sort of guy who would want kids somewhere down the road, while at the same time hesitant to include them with the life he leads. I figure a push from Shepard one way or the other would probably earn his consent.

My own Shep, for example, wouldn't go out and adopt. She's not looking for that kind of lifestyle; she's an Earthborn orphan who grew up on the streets and has no idea how to properly raise a child. At the same time, that's her weakness: her heartstrings could be tugged by any child who ended up in the same situation as she was, orphaned, alone, nowhere to go.

In that sort of situation, she wouldn't be able to turn her back, and if all other variables slotted in she would take the gamble. Being raised on a ship isn't so bad when the other option is the streets...but the events would have to be VERY circumstantial.

Well ill put myself firmly in the 'no hybrid monster' camp. Im open to the possibility of Shep and Garrus adopting a child they saved somehow in what... 10-15 years? Once they are ready to retire. And thats not right after ME3 cause as long as they be good enough to chase bad guys, i dont see either stopping to open a store or do gardening on Eden Prime. 

As for how the Shepard backgrounds might influence all that well both Earthborn and Mindoir colonist have lost their parents and might feel living a high risk life isnt very suited to raising a child. Spacers could have a more open mind on the that tho (just my idea, of course ppl can roleplay as they like).


So, do you guys think the whole 'what will we do after' will be an issue in Garrus romance arc? Do you think he will feel the need to make sure Shep is ok with not having children of her own? And that shes ok with him not planning on retiring soon?

Personally i would like those questions to be touched in dialogues with things implied more then completely spelled out...  A little humor cant go bad either. 


One of the reasons i would  see a ShepxGarrus fail is if Shep feels like shes done enough for the galaxy and would like them to go live a tamed life somewhere safe. I dont see Garrus able to open a grocerystore somewhere or work in anything involving much paperwork. Hes a soldier and likes it.

They might not settle down, but I could definitely see them sailing off into the Universe to explore what's out there. That would be my first choice. Beholden to no one and free to go seek out whatever adventure is waiting to be had.

As for children...well, regardless of whether they would or wouldn't want to adopt at some point in their lives, I don't see it being addressed in the game. Hopefully they will end it with a confirmation of their affection for one another, in some fashion, and a vow to stick by each other no matter what - the rest is history. I'd be content with that.
