That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Does anyone know what if any connection Stanley Woo has with the VAs? Even if he was the one in charge which I'd guess he isn't, they've probably haven't contacted all the VAs yet. And no I'm not clinging to "false hope", I'm just saying that quote by Stanley doesn't necessarily confirm Michael Beattie won't be back.

That's true, Stanley Woo isn't the Voice Acting Director or the Casting Director, so it's probably that Bioware hasn't contacted all the VAs yet. Maybe they wanted the VAs for the Mass Effect 3 Squadmembers to do their recordings first because of the larger content of lines for the squadmembers, then get the other VAs to reprise their roles because of their character's smaller content of lines.

Just wanted to voice my support here. Having just replayed ME2, I am struck by how indispensable his work is to the game's success. The writing is great, obviously, but it takes a special performance to elevate it like Beattie did.

Not just him, but every VO actor: NO ONE LEFT BEHIND! ;-)

I know this may sound idealistic, but I am not giving up hope that Michael Beattie will be at his rightful place with all the other great VA's in Mass Effect 3.

To cheer everyone up, I found this ME2 Michael Beattie interview on the interwebz. I think I saw this quite a while ago, but its always just awesome to hear his voice again outside of Mordin.

Not directly on the current topic (though I certainly would prefer Beattie to reprise his role!), but I just published a chapter in my ongoing fanfic devoted to Mordin (each of the ME2 characters will get their own chapter/journal entry), and did some companion screenshot manips.  Some of you might enjoy

Hey guys,

I'm usually just a lurker here but I can't help but voice my support for Beattie. His voice fitted Mordin perfectly, I would never be able to get used to any other voice actor. Beattie is part of what made Mordin such as great character and it would be a tragedy for him not to return. It only makes sense to finish the series with the actor we know and love.

With that said, I will return to my lurking.

I have heard or seen nothing so far, we can only assume that either they are still considering it or our efforts haven't been enough. I'm thinking the latter option is, unfortunately, the most probable one.
