They have money for a PSP licker but not a genuine character actor.XX55XX wrote...
Contract law may be preventing Mr. Beattie from speaking as freely.
My bet is that Beattie asked for too much money.
It really makes me ashamed to be a Mass Effect fan. It's like going to a really cheap strip club and immediately regretting it.

I thought the containment field was just distorting his voice...jreezy wrote...

Mordin was never MY favorite character but he was in the top 5. And he was undoubtedly the deepest. He made you laugh, he made you mad, he made you feel awkward, and he immersed you in the game verse. Shame on you Bioware for cheaply replacing him. It cheapens the character and quite frankly the game as a whole. Get your heads out of your asses and let Beattie play Mordin as nature intended.

I support Beatie coming back to ME3 to play Mordin Solus.
That is SO going to happen at this point.

It's not Mark Meer he did a placeholder voice. The new voice is too high-pitched I feel and although he sometimes gets close enough for me not to be too bothered by it, some lines throw me off, especially when Mordin loses his calm a little.XX55XX wrote...
I thought the new VA (Mark Meer?) did a decent enough job. Still not quite as good as Beattie, but good enough.
I don't like it, but I think I can live with it, as long as Mordin doesn't get a lot of scenes where he's acting a bit nervous and panicky and instead just stays calm.

I suppose I should be glad that this is the biggest thing I have to complain about in ME3.

I think I'll get used to it, but the new voice doesn't feel as natural for Mordin. Beattie made the hyper dialogue flow and sounded exuberant and into it. The new one sounds like he's trying, but that's half the problem. It doesn't sound like it's natural.

I'm greatly dissapointed that Beattie did not return, but the new guy doesn't deserve hate for that. He does a decent enough job that I can tell its not Beattie but it is believably Mordin.
I can accept that with a heavy heart.
Indeed.
