So the voice Mordin has in the E3 2011 demo isn't just a placeholder then. Definitely bad news. No one can do Mordin as well as Michael Beattie does it. His voice just sounds off now.

I have some sad news for you all today. It's official- Michael Beattie is Mordin Solus no more!! :(

I'm sorry to have to be the one to deliver this news to you all as I know you're huge fans of Michael work.

I wasn't aware of this...damn it BioWare or whoever let that happen. :(

1) There was nothing in the interview that stated that he would not be returning. He simply hasn't been contacted yet.

2) The title was extremely misleading. There wasn't anything "official" about it. Unless you have any other evidence than what some BSN user put as an attention grabbing title, there's no reason to believe "Michael Beattie is Mordin Solus no more"!!!1111!!!111qdwei11overreactionomgomg

Well there is the fact that both in the 2011 E3 and SDCC Demos Mordin has a different voice actor.

I want Mordin back on the Normandy! Even if he can't fight anymore, I just want to be able to talk to him.

I don't know, Mordin is pretty dope in combat. Even on insanity. "Spam incinerate, kick ass."

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have Mordin fighting beside me in ME3! He was almost always on my squad in ME2. I was just saying if Bioware refuses to make him a perminant squadie, at least let him be around, (even if its just as an npc), for longer than just one mission :crying:

Mordin deserves nothing less than the best. Others would disagree, but they'd be wrong.

I hope Michael Beattie does get recast as Mordin. If not, BioWare should give out free copies of Mass Effect 3 lol.

Mordin is one of the most critically lauded personalities in the games. His voice work was a large part of that appeal.

Aaargh! He is the one who made Shepard-thing turn fans back on! He ruin whole plan and I never get paid by Collectors!

Now Vorcha-Wife will starve and Vorcha-Child can not get operation! Frog-thing doesn't deserve an "appreciation" thread!

Not sure if anyone's ever seen this before or not but I figured I'd share with some fellow Mordin fans just in case :

Not sure if this was discussed, but does anyone think that the conversations between Shepard and Mordin, over the Genophage, will have an impact on Mordin in ME3?
(for example: If you went Paragon, in the conversations, would that influence Mordin to modify the Genophage, allowing more Krogan to be born, or develop a cure?)

That was Meer and he was just filling in.

He did Wrex's voice too. That article and that thread are not legit. That was someone trying to hype up their article by causing a panic. It was supposition. There's no proof. I think people who come on here to stir up **** like that should be banned. It just leads to false rumors.

I would be a very happy person if Mordin was a party member in ME3. In fact, I'll be pretty annoyed if he isn't. Mordin was, from my perspective, the absolute best and best developed character in ME3, and I say that as someone who likes Tali and keeps hoping for a Tali/femshep romance option.

But Mordin was the best.

Mordin is way too underrated. Should have more fans.

Man, I'll be so deeply disappointed if Mordin isn't a permanent squadmate in ME3. At first I was like "salarian? who wants one of those? pft." But I was definitely proven very, VERY wrong. Mordin is my favorite character EVER. Even more than Alistair.

I certainly wouldn't mind him as an LI(understatement!), but that'd be so hard to pull off in character (writing wise). Maybe a chaste romance like with Sebastian in DA2? I never romanced Sebastian so I don't know how well that turned out, though.

In any case. He has so many lines that I love. Like when he comments on Grunt's "puberty ritual." Or the undergraduate comment. Low blow, Mordin... Or the way he kind of chuckles when you ask if krogan scientists are working on a cure.

And also his random bursts of wisdom (sex-related or otherwise): "Life is a negotiation. We all want. We all give to get what we want."

I actually like Mordin more than most other characters, it seems like more effort was put into getting to know him then most of the others.

Mordin better be in the squad and not set off to the side like Wrex was. Too bad you couldn't get him as a LI(Wrex or Mordin).

I wouldn't mind if Mordin was left like an NPC just like Wrex, I think that they become more interesting as npcs after leaving shepard squad and focusing on helping their own people, it makes you feel happier for them and makes things feel more real, like they have things to do other than follow shepard all the time wherever he goes. That said I still hope he fills a really important part (hopefully with lots of VA hehe) in ME3 since he was my favorite new character in 2 and definitely one of the best developed.

I somehow doubt we'll get Mordin back as a squad-mate but I hope we get to have some good moments with him during and in between missions.
