Still hoping that there's more Mordin screentime outside of the one mission we've seen.

Love Mordin

A genius with a heart who sings! Fav part in his LM where Mordin and Shep can discuss genophage effects....

Plus the whole past with the STG and all.... I can't wait to see if Mordin meets Kirrahe in ME3

Hold The Line!

I think Mordin is a great character but I can't shake the feeling that he'll die in ME3. It almost feels guaranteed.

Mordin is great. One of the most vivid characters in the franchise. Looking forward to experiencing his babbling stream of consciousness again in ME3.

Mordin and I had this kind of happy relationship. However, that turned to love when he burst out in Gilbert and Sullivan. Haha, freaking awesome.
Figures he'd die on my first playthrough. Was so gutted. </3

"Have killed many Shepard. Many methods. Gunfire, knives, drugs, tech attacks, once with farming equipment."

Favorite salarian in the galaxy. XD

I`ll cast a vote for Beattie as well - hope that he`ll be contacted and will be voicing Mordin again.

What surprised me most was how he handled the interview from Retroplayer; it was like Mordin was modelled after Beattie`s personality even. Of perhaps Beattie has become more Mordin after doing him in ME2. The witty comments, the trailing, the focusing on parts and therefore losing focus on whatever he was trying to say ... if he wasn`t Mordin, he has become him.

That`s why I can`t imagine anyone else doing the voice of Mordin at all.

"Lie of omission, also other kinds." remains my favorite line in the entire Mass Effect franchise, and Mordin is one of the most unique, interesting, and non-stereotypical characters in the series. I want him back in any form, with as much dialogue as possible.

In this day and age its almost impossible to come up with an original character, and I agree they've achieved it with Mordin.

Mordin is probably one of my favorite characters ever.

I also found a funny gif.

I wish I could have Mordin on my team in ME3, as my closest advisor, my specialist, and project leader. I could win this war with him on my side. And I wish he could be my LI. <3 But something (Mordin himself) tells me it can never be.

If I recall, Mordin does say if he were interested in humans he'd certainly give Shepard a chance. It's not an outright rejection at least.

But he's not interested in humans, so I'm not getting any chances. :( It felt like he was just trying to let me down easy. He was openly relieved that the whole issue was out of the way. It's a very gentle rejection, but a rejection nonetheless.

Worse yet, my Shepard was slightly taken aback and amused by the very suggestion, so I don't even get any empathy from my avatar, unlike in Samara scene. It was clearly intended as a humorous scene born of misunderstanding, not as an unrequired attraction. Shepard's perfectly fine, I'm the only one suffering. :crying:

What I found funniest about that scene was Mordin saying he got confusing signs from Shep's lower eyelid movement. And lower eyelids are, like, the least mobile feature of a human face (as opposed to salarians).

But yeah, I'm not actually sure how a proper romance with any salarian could work. Mordin says that they simply can't do sustained courtship due to biological reasons.

Anyways, he's an awesome character, and even though it is quite possible that ME3 will be his swan song, it would still be great to see him again. I found his loyalty mission to be the best one of the lot in ME2 and surprisingly moving. So here's to more rambling, singing and unexpected soul-searching! Posted Image

I found it really amusing that Mordin's such a practiced heartbreaker. Turns down people on a regular basis. He's completely unsurprised that Shepard falls for his charms, too.

Doesn't matter, humans can't sustain courtship emotions indefinitely either. Can't be always high on hormones. Passion cools down, but relationships endure despite it. There's trust, intimacy, common goals. There's affection - salarians can feel it, and there are degrees to affection, aren't there? I'll settle for the highest degree. :police: There must be some expressions of intimacy in their social norms. I want that. I think Mordin was just referring to a tryst, and I would never be satisfied with just that. I want more. <3

Here's to Mordin. He's the best. I hope to be able to save him in ME3, and I'll sacrifice a lot for it. Also, I'm looking forward to speaking with him in a more relaxed setting after Sur'Kesh. When he said that we can exchange proper greetings later, I couldn't tell if it was a diversion or a promise. He better come with me to my ship. It's not safe in homeworlds with the Reapers out there. And I could really use his help.

Mordin's loyalty mission really touched me. His concern for life is remarkably well written and the writers deserve a pat on the back for such a deep character.
I wouldn't really want him as a squadmate again (Yeah, he did some STG work, but he just seems too dainty to go up against huge sentient warships), but I'd love to have him serve on the Normandy as a doctor again. I'd take Mordin over Chakwas any day.
I'm somewhat of a newbie to these forums, and I'm surprised that Mordin doesn't get a lot of discussion. Come on, that singing bit was brilliant XD

Oh god, this thread is still active. XD When I was gone for a few months I assumed someone else would make one since its OP is kinda lacking. I should work on that...
