@Raving_Ranter I think we've got you covered on all counts, except maybe the Kromance.

Though I must admit that I have no idea if Caseys answer included the wedding option =]

Considering he said "we've got you covered on all counts" and the only counts other than kromance were Joker and wedding, than the answer is yes. Damn, I missed these tweets, this basically confirms wedding.

I hope that means Shep finally get's a chance with Joker! Image IPB

And that the possible wedding is optional and suits the character. Jack weddings would boggle my mind. Image IPB

am I the only one who think it'd be kinda cool to get married at the start of the game? It'd obviously be a choice and a quick ceremony on the Normandy or something?

Only if it happens to fit with the occasion of a galaxy wide war. And It would be hard to fit one into such a battlefield setting but still sort of possible.

Something like saaay:

"So, you two love each other?"

"YES!"

"Enough to be married forever?"

"YES!!!!"

"Then congratulations, you are."

i doubt people still bother to get married that far into the future. its so archaic and primitive, might as well get rid of it.

The ultimate symbol of a man and a woman's love for each other, representing their commitment to each other no matter what the world might throw at them...and you think it's archaic and primitive? You sir, are a douche.

Its not though,  it's a symbol of commitment until one of them gets board/angry/ or what have you.  It's not like it used to be,  it benifits you for insurance policies and perhaps child rearing but its the ultimate expression of nothing.  The ultimate expression of commitment is getting together and staying together it doesn't require a ritual.

My parents have been married for thirty five years,  my uncles and aunts have been together from thirty to forty years. I am number eight of eleven children. My eldest sisters have been married for ten and six years respectively, and my oldest brother and fifth oldest sister both got married to their fiance's last year, with my newest nephew born a few weeks agoImage IPB

Not only that, but my friends at uni all come from happy, stable family's, including several exchange students from all over the world. In Australia AND America, the divorce rate is dropping drastically. People are rediscovering what being married means.

The institution of marriage as a pledge of fidelity and the basis of a stable family  is alive and well, your argument is invalid I'm quite happy to tell you.Image IPB

My argument isn't invalid as a succesful marriage is becoming less and less common as the years go on.  It's not really a promise anymore,  it's simply a coupling of financial responcibility.  Your friends and family being all happily married is at best  a rarity and a freak accident.

One doesn't require a religious rite to bind them to another,  sure,  it can be fun but it isn't a neccesity.

And yet I've never met anyone who has been divorced. A few of my friend's parents had split I'll admit, but they were the exception, not the rule. My Air Force buddy got married on a Corporal's salary (next to nothing), and his fiance was a junior accountant. Financial responsibility had nothing to do with it, the fact that they loved each other and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together did.

Perhaps you need re-examine your statistics?

Where do you live seriously?  I'm shocked that you've never met a divorced person..

Australia.

Why not ? Lots of promising fun. Think about Williams girls in wedding and blushed Ashley, "Kill me now" she sighs to Shepard. LOL.

Also I agree the idea this wedding thing should be restricted to human LI's.

I prefer it after we repel Reapers, I quickly recalled the escape from Earth gameplay. And I believe there will be no chance to celebrate so much important thing in that rush. Trial problem is first. Besides you will need to settle things first if you chose Ashley, and since this romance closure thing would be a common for all LI's in some point(likely before the end game) of storyline, it is better to keep it later in the game.

Start it off wedding-style on the Normandy, finish it off with the commander blasting a hole through a Reaper, standing in the center, reloading and declaring, "I do."

That aside, a simple proposal would suffice. If approached for an immediate wedding thered probably be a "What, 'now'?"

My thoughts on a wedding scene. Shepard and his LI are getting married they are just pronounced Husband and wife and he's about to kiss the bride when the wedding hall shakes and it's announced Batarian exteremists are attacking and sheps the only one who can stop them. Sheps about to run out then turns kisses their love interest {or if tali takes her hand in his intimately} then runs for the door ripping off the Alliance military formalwear revealing his/her n7 gear underneath and begins blasting batarians

Eh, not a wedding scene, but I would mind a "ride off into the horizon" type scene with my LI(Tali).

If that was DLC I would buy that. Or even just a fallow up mission with your LI.

Save it for the fanfiction. A wedding would be so sappy and cheesy that it would probably make you gag. The only video game that has ever done a wedding scene well is GTA IV. (and that one doesn't exactly have a happy outcome)

There's fanfiction for that and mods for The Sims. You can even have kids, normal ones and not horribly deformed if you romanced aliens.

That would be fun!

Anyway I don't see how a wedding can work, maybe have one of those quick get married things by a big named character(like Mordin or Wrex=]) before going off for the final battle? cuz even that would take a ton of work to pull off(and it would still be stupid).
